Abstract

Hypertension, which is characterized by an increase in blood pressure above normal limits, is a health problem that can occur in all walks of life. People with hypertension are often unaware of this condition because it generally does not show obvious symptoms. If left untreated, hypertension can cause irreversible damage to the arteries, increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, and can lead to hypertensive emergencies. Hypertension can be prevented and managed with proper treatment, which can reduce the risk of serious complications such as stroke and heart attack. Progressive muscle relaxation is one of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be used to lower blood pressure. This technique combines deep breathing exercises, systematic contraction and relaxation of the body's muscle groups to help relieve physical and psychological tension. By reducing stress and muscle tension, and stimulating the nervous system to function more efficiently in regulating body functions related to blood pressure, a significant reduction in blood pressure is expected. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation techniques in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients as an effort to prevent hypertension emergencies. The method used was a pre-experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of 66 respondents who participated in progressive muscle relaxation sessions. The results of data analysis showed a decrease in mean systolic blood pressure by 12.21 mmHg and diastolic by 10.96 mmHg. Statistical tests using Paired Sample t-test showed a p value <0.01, which indicates a significant difference at the 95% level of significance (α = 0.05). These findings indicate that progressive muscle relaxation is effective in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients and can be one of the efforts to prevent hypertensive emergencies. Keywords: Blood pressure, Progressive muscle relaxation, Prevention of hypertensive emergencies

Abstract

Antenatal care (ANC) is a medical service that expectant mothers get from qualified personnel. In the current era of digitization, apps are extremely required since they may make things simpler. ANC results are often entered in the KIA book, but recording is still done by hand, and pregnant women frequently forget to bring the KIA book. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the application's efficacy. My ADA on the ANC visitation patterns of expectant mothers in South Jakarta's Bengkulu and Cilandak cities. This kind of quantitative study employs a control group design in a quasi-experimental setting. The study will be conducted in Cilandak, South Jakarta, and PMB Bengkulu City. In 2023, there were 6,279 pregnant women in the PMB neighborhood of Bengkulu City, Cilandak, South Jakarta; 106 of them were selected using the purposive sampling approach. Pregnant women's average knowledge of ANC increased in the intervention group using the My ADA application compared to the control group using the KIA book. The intervention group's knowledge increased with a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating that the My ADA application had an impact on pregnant women's knowledge, while the intervention group's p-value of 0.000 <0.05 indicated that the KIA book had an impact on pregnant women's knowledge of ANC in South Jakarta. The Mann-Whitney test results showed that Mean P-Value = 0.000, there is a difference in the average knowledge score between the My ADA application group and the KIA book group, so it can be concluded that the My ADA Application is more effective in increasing pregnant women's knowledge about ANC compared to KIA book. Abstract

The nutritional status of children, especially in infancy, is an important aspect in health development and growth. Factors such as education level and maternal age are thought to have an influence on children's nutritional status. This study aims to analyze the relationship between education level and maternal age with infant nutritional status at the Sawit 1 Health Center, Boyolali Regency. This study used a correlational method with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at the Sawit 1 Health Center, Boyolali Regency, which was implemented in September 2024. The population in the study were all mothers who had children aged 6 months to 1 year at the Sawit 1 Health Center, Boyolali Regency. The study sample consisted of 25 mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months. Measurement of nutritional status was carried out by measuring the length and weight of the baby, while maternal demographic data were obtained through a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Pearson correlation test to see the relationship between variables. The results of the study showed that there was no significant relationship between the level of maternal education and the nutritional status of infants (r = 0.051; p-value = 0.807), and there was no significant relationship between the age of the mother and the nutritional status of infants (r = -0.082; p-value = 0.696). Thus, this study concluded that the level of education and age of the mother did not have a significant relationship with the nutritional status of infants in the study area. It is necessary to improve nutritional education programs for mothers, strengthen the role of health cadres, and community-based counseling to increase awareness of the importance of nutrition for infants. Abstract

Hypnobreastfeeding makes mothers feel calm, comfortable and happy so that the hormones prolactin and oxytocin increase which play a role in facilitating breast milk production. The hypnobreastfeeding technique increases mothers' confidence and motivation to breastfeed and carry out Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD). Improper implementation of IMD results in inadequate nutrition for babies at the start of life which can cause stunting. The results of the study show that babies who do not receive IMD have an impact on stunting. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of hypnobreastfeeding on the success of IMD. This type of research is Quasi Experimental with a case-control design. The sample consisted of 60 people, 30 people in each group, using a purposive sampling technique. The research was carried out in the working area of the Siatas Barita Community Health Center from March to September 2024. Bivariate data analysis used Independent Statistical Tests with a significance level of 95%. The success of implementing IMD in the case group was 86% (26 people) and in the control group was 53% (16 people). The results of the Independent Statistical Test, the p-value was 0.012 (α<0.05), meaning there was a difference in the effectiveness of hypnobreastfeeding on the success of IMD. It was concluded that hypnobreastfeeding was effective in the success of IMD. It is hoped that hypnobreastfeeding will be held in pregnant women's classes so that IMD can be successfully implemented as an effort to prevent stunting. Abstract

Stunting is a condition of growth failure in toddlers that has lifelong impacts on their health, human resources, and economic growth. The results of the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) show that the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia decreased from 24.4% in 2021 to 21.6% in 2022 . The target prevalence of stunting in Indonesia is 14% by 2024. The incidence of stunting in North Tapanuli is already chronic, with the prevalence of stunting increasing from 26.7% in 2021 to 27.4% in 2022. The selection of animal protein from local food sources with digital literacy is expected to accelerate the reduction of stunting. This study aims to analyze the effect of using a local food-based menu and applying digital literacy to increase the height of stunted children. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study using pre- and post-tests with a control group design in July-September in North Tapanuli Regency to compare the increase in height gain with local food. The sample consisted of 34 stunted children aged 12-60 months. Height measurements were taken every month after three months of intervention. Data were analyzed using a T-test with a 95% confidence level. This study showed that local food-based menus with digital literacy could increase the height of children aged 12-60 months p-value: was 0.014 <0.05. In the control group (without receiving local food-based menu intervention with digital literacy), there was no effect on increasing height p-value 0.125>0.05. The application of a local food-based menu with the use of digital literacy has an effect in increasing the height of children who are stunted, digital literacy can help parents access information, and educate families, through applications and social media so that this research is important, useful to introduce a new approach in handling stunting, namely combining local food with digital literacy. Abstract

Mother's knowledge is very important because it is one of the contributing factors to the emergence of stunting in toddlers. Mothers with low knowledge have a higher risk of their children experiencing stunting compared to mothers with sufficient knowledge. The family plays a very important role in efforts to prevent stunting. Preventing stunting in families can be associated with eight family functions that support each other. This study aims to analyze the effect of education on improving the knowledge of mothers with toddlers regarding the 8 family functions. The eight family funtions are the religious function, sosio-cultural function, affection function, protection function, reproduction function, socialization and education function, economic function, and environmental development function. This research method is quantitative, using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest questionnaire instrument. The sample consists of 30 mothers with toddlers at risk of stunting in the Family Planning Village (Kampung KB), Lembah Murai Village. Data analysis used the Paired T-Test to test the effect of education on the 8 family functions before and after the intervention. The results show an average knowledge score increase of 21.76 after the intervention. The results of the Paired T-Test indicate a p value of 0,000, which signifies a statistically significant difference between the scores before and after the education on the 8 family funtions. Therefore, a good family role is very important in forming healthy living patterns in toddlers, making the active role of the family the key to supporting the optimal growth and development of toddlers. It is recommended that the education program be carried out regularly by involving cadres as active companions to support the understanding of mothers with toddlers in stunting prevention.
