Likewise, it is said that he had read the Book of Sibawaih in front of his teacher, Shaykh Ibn Abdul Qawi in 6 days, until he understood it and mastered the science of nahwu. On the basis of this story and his success in learning Arabic, the researcher was moved to collect his sayings about the importance of learning Arabic and how to teach it, especially for non-Arabic speakers. Design/Methodology/Approach-This research is guided by the descriptive analysis method, by collecting the required data from the books of Ibn Taimiyah, both from printed references, e-books, and software of Maktabah Syamilah. After the data was collected, the Researcher brought a number of words from classical and contemporary scholars who supported Ibn Taimiyyah's words. Findings: From this research, the Researcher got fifteen sayings of Ibn Taimiyyah about the importance of learning Arabic and ten methods of teaching it. All of his sayings about the importance of learning Arabic are related to religious issues, so it can be concluded that the purpose of learning Arabic according to him is to understand religious texts. Research Limitation/Implications:This research is certainly not relevant for those who want to study Arabic for general purposes, because Ibn Taymiyyah limited it to religious purposes only. Nevertheless, this research enriches Arabic teaching methods for specific purposes for non-Arabic speakers.

Design/Methodology/Approach- The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation at the Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid Probolinggo. This study used a sample of 7th grade students with a total of 30 students. Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the translation errors of harf jar which form idioms from Arabic to Indonesian. Idioms are combinations of words that produce a new meaning that is different from the component words that form it. Methodology: The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted on students who are studying Arabic translation, and are accustomed to using literal or grammatical translation techniques. Findings: Problems occur when students want to get the equivalent of words in idioms with jar letters. The results showed that the errors made by students were generally intralingual errors, caused by limited understanding of changes in the meaning of words that form idioms, and macrolinguistic errors caused by incorrect cross-cultural interpretations. Implication: The findings in this study can be used as an illustration and consideration for improving translation skills, not only lexical and grammatical translation, but also idiomatic translation. In addition, this research also contributes to the novice Arabic learners about the diversity of meanings of harf jar that form an idiom

Second, low motivation is influenced by internal and external factors, ineternal factors include weak ability to apply qawa'id al-lughah in reading Arabic scripts, knowledge that is less related to the urgency of reading ability, while external factors include less support from more able friends, improper media selection, methods used by teachers sometimes out of sync with learners. Third, teachers make efforts to increase reading motivation by providing reinforcement for learners related to the importance of reading skills, finding and using the right qiro'ah learning media, updating qiro'ah learning methods, increasing supervision of established tasks.   Research Limitation/Implications-Researchers have not revealed anything related to the ability to read Arabic, therefore researchers and observers of Arabic learning can continue research on various aspects relevant to this study, such as studying the correlation of motivation to study qiro'ah with understanding of Arabic reading manuscripts.
