Abstract

Purpose- This article aims to explain the results of study on the use of Appy Pie learning media, as well as to determine the effectiveness of Appy Pie learning media to increase maharoh kitabah of grade 8 students of MTs N 1 Tuban. Design/Methodology/Approach The quantitative method was applied in this study. A total of 31 students of grade 8 at MTs N 1 Tuban participated in the study. The data was obtained through interview, observation, test and documentation at MTs N 1 Tuban. Findings— During the process of learning Arabic, especially maharoh kitabah, the students have not been able to write Arabic sentences properly and correctly. The results of this study indicated that the average value of grade 8 at MTs N 1 Tuban before the application of the Appy Pie learning media is 56, while the average value of the students after the application of the Appy Pie learning media is 82. As a result, the Appy Pie learning media is effective for increasing maharoh kitabah for grade 8 students of MTs N 1 Tuban, as well as teaching Arabic maharoh kitabah. Because this media presents new innovations, so learning is not always monotonous using books, but changes learning media with a touch more modern using this medium. Research Limitation/Implications- Due to time limits, this study could not go any further, however, it obtained satisfactory results and is expected to help develop writing skills learning innovations at MTs N 1 Tuban

Abstract

This article investigates counter-radicalism practices through the development of wasathiyah Islamic teachings at the Raudlotul Huffadz Pondok Pesantren (PPRH) in Tabanan, Bali. The competition between radical and moderate Muslims (wasathiyah) is intensifying. In this instance, the existence of radical extremist groups is the reason moderate Islam (wasathiyah) exists. This article explains that the practice of counterradicalism through the construction of Al-Quran-based Wasathiyah Islamic teachings in the PPRH takes the form of constructing and developing moderate, tolerant, anti-radicalization, and rahmatan lil alamin Islamic teachings to combat radicalism movements that are frequently attributed to the Quran. At PPRH, the tahfidz al-Quran assembly is created, in which Islamic values of wasathiyah and anti-religious radicalism are taught. This program is a countermeasure against non-Sanad tahfidz al-Quran houses, which tend to teach religious values with radical overtones. In fact, the Al-Qur’an, as the primary source of Islamic teachings, must be investigated in terms of wasathi narratives and Islamic movements as part of peaceful and rahmatan lil'alamin Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Purpose-The purpose of the researchers is to discuss the title "The Influence of the Application of Language Learning Media through Factile Games to Improve Listening Skills in Grade 8 Students at SMP Nurul Huda Surabaya". Design/Methodology/Approach- In order to be able to solve the problems found in grade 8 students at SMP Nurul Huda Surabaya, researchers used a quantitative approach with the percentage formula and T-test.  For data collection using methods: 1) observation, 2) interviews, 3) tests, and 4) documentation.  The sample technique used was purposive sampling technique, and the research subjects were class 8A with a total of 32 students Findings- The results of this study, there is an effect of applying language learning media through Factile games to improve listening skills in grade 8 students, this can be seen from the results of the "t" test, namely to (9.16) and tt(1.309 and 1.695) so Ha accepted and Ho rejected. Research Limitation/Implications- It is clear that this research has an effect on the application of language learning media through Factile games to improve listening skills in grade 8 students at SMP Nurul Huda Surabaya

Abstract

This article delves into the contemporary phenomenon of Islamic radicalism with a specific emphasis on its connection to the religious doctrine of the Khawarij. The Khawarij, as a group that emerged in the early history of Islam, holds significant influence in comprehending the roots of radicalism in the modern Islamic world. The research aims to analyze and identify the common thread linking the religious doctrine of the Khawarij to the development of contemporary Islamic radicalism. Through a textual and historical analysis approach, the author explores key Khawarij concepts that remain relevant in shaping the mindset and actions of modern radical groups. Furthermore, the article highlights efforts for the prevention and mitigation of Islamic radicalization by detailing strategies that can be adopted by society, government, and religious institutions. Thus, it is anticipated that this article will contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamics of contemporary Islamic radicalism and provide valuable insights for mitigation efforts.

Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara merupakan keterampilan utama yang harus dikuasai siswa dalam menerapkan metode langsung dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini salah satu tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Arab siswa dengan menerapkan metode langsung. Metode artikel ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan (library study), yaitu metode pengumpulan data dengan memahami dan mempelajari teori-teori dari berbagai literatur yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. Penggunaan Metode Langsung dalam praktik pembelajaran bahasa Arab terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa.

Abstract

This paper seeks to understand the construction of moderate Islamic education in Waleed El-Ansary's "A Common Word" and its implications for world peace. By library research with content analysis, several idea constructs were proposed. Reason "A Common Word" Waleed El-Ansary is equivalent to "al-Kalimah al-Sawa". This term has the connotative meaning that everything is equal, balanced and equal. The construction of moderate Islamic education can be done through the logic of "A Common Word" as stated by religious leaders, including Waleed El-Ansary. "A Common Word" suggests an intersection or similarity in the teachings of the world's religions, especially Islam and Christianity. When Islam promotes the principle of equality, the teachings developed in Islamic education are Islamic teachings that are moderate, tolerant and full of environmentally friendly nuances. Reason "A Common Word" which contains moderate Islamic teachings (rahmatan li al-aminalamin) can be implemented to achieve world peace. The application of the teaching "A Common Word", has implications for the realization of world peace. Reason "A Common Word", which contains a construction of moderate Islamic education, considers that promoting equality (kalimatun sawa), can be achieved through good relations with others, instilling love, removing hatred, and the like. The construction of moderate Islamic education in reason “A Common Word” has significant implications for world peace. Paper ini berusaha memahami konstruksi pendidikan Islam moderat dalam nalar “A Common Word” Waleed El-Ansary dan implikasinya bagi perdamaian dunia. Melalui kajian kepustakaan dengan analisis isi, dikemukakan beberapa konstruksi ide. Nalar “A Common Word” Waleed El-Ansary semakna dengan “al-Kalimah al-Sawa’”. Term ini memiliki makna konotatif bahwa segala sesuatu bersifat setara, seimbang dan selevel. Konstruksi pendidikan Islam moderat dapat dilakukan melalui nalar “A Common Word” sebagaimana yang dikemukakan oleh para pemuka agama, termasuk Waleed El-Ansary. “A Common Word” meng-ideasikan adanya titik temu atau kesamaan ajaran agama-agama di dunia, terutama Islam dan Kristen. Ketika Islam mengedepankan asas kesamaan, maka ajaran yang dikembangkan dalam pendidikan Islam adalah ajaran Islam yang moderat, toleran dan penuh dengan nuansa ramah lingkungan. Nalar “A Common Word” yang di dalamnya mengandung ajaran Islam moderat (rahmatan li al-‘Alamin) dapat diimplementasikan untuk mencapai perdamaian dunia. Penerapan ajaran “A Common Word”, berimplikasi pada terwujudnya perdamaian dunia. Nalar “A Common Word”, yang di dalamnya mengandung konstruksi pendidikan Islam moderat, memandang bahwa mengedepankan persamaan (kalimatun sawa), dapat dicapai melalui hubungan baik dengan sesama, menanamkan rasa cinta, membuang kebencian, dan sejenisnya. Konstruksi pendidikan Islam moderat dalam nalar “A Common Word” berimplikasi signifikan bagi perdamaian dunia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the muha>das|ah method applied in Arabic language learning in MAN Surabaya City. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained from two sources, namely primary and secondary with documentation, observation and interview techniques, then validity tests and conclusions were drawn. The results of the study show that the learning curriculum at MAN Surabaya City can be said to have succeeded in producing people who are fluent in Arabic, judging from the books used. The researcher also found that the students were very enthusiastic in participating in muha>das|ah activities using dialogue memorization techniques. The students were very enthusiastic about practicing dialogue in front of the class. The students were happy when they performed with their colleagues who were practicing dialogue using Arabic. By repeating it many times by the teacher and then followed by the students so that students can memorize and get used to the pronunciation faster.

Abstract

Pembangunan disiplin belajar dan perilaku sosial anak di sekolah dasar memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik dan kemampuan bersosialisasi. Penelitian kualitatif berbasis literatur ini mengungkap bahwa disiplin belajar dapat dibentuk melalui rutinitas terstruktur (jadwal harian), sistem hadiah dan konsekuensi konsisten (pujian/sanksi edukatif), serta keteladanan guru dalam sikap dan manajemen waktu. Sementara itu, perilaku sosial siswa berkembang optimal melalui kegiatan kelompok (diskusi, proyek kolaboratif) dan refleksi nilai empati seperti berbagi cerita inspiratif. Kendala utama meliputi ketidakselarasan aturan sekolah dengan pola asuh di rumah (misal: perbedaan aturan penggunaan gadget) dan kurangnya pelatihan guru dalam manajemen konflik serta motivasi intrinsik siswa. Solusinya memerlukan integrasi pendekatan struktural (aturan jelas) dan kultural (penguatan nilai), serta kolaborasi antara guru, orang tua, dan psikolog sekolah. Implikasi praktis mencakup pelatihan guru tentang teknik motivasi berbasis proses belajar dan resolusi konflik, serta edukasi orang tua untuk menyelaraskan nilai pengasuhan dengan sekolah. Bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), temuan ini relevan karena strategi tersebut sejalan dengan tujuan pendidikan Islam dalam membentuk akhlak mulia (disiplin, empati, kerja sama) melalui keseimbangan syariat dan internalisasi moral, serta menegaskan peran guru sebagai teladan yang mengintegrasikan ilmu dan adab. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis sumber tertulis terpercaya seperti buku, jurnal, dan dokumen akademik.

Abstract

Abstract: This study critically examines Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas’s concept of Islamization of knowledge, highlighting its original contribution to the reform of contemporary Islamic education. Unlike prior descriptive studies, this research identifies a conceptual gap in the discourse and offers a critical synthesis of al-Attas’s thought. It employs library research using a conceptual-hermeneutic analytical approach to his primary texts. The findings show that al-Attas’s Islamization is not merely a critique of the West, but an integrative project placing revelation as the epistemic foundation, adab as the basis of education, and tawhid as its ontological framework. The study also reveals that his concept can be practically applied to address current challenges such as secularism, identity crisis, and the science-religion dichotomy in Islamic education. By contextualizing al-Attas’s principles in light of today’s educational issues, this study offers both theoretical and practical contributions for revitalizing Islamic curricula grounded in tawhid and epistemic integrity. Abstract

This study investigates the difficulties faced by junior high school students in developing maharah kitabah (writing skills) within Arabic language learning, focusing on errors from the perspective of imla’ (Arabic orthography). The problem arises from students’ limited exposure to Arabic in their previous learning environments, which impacts their ability to write correctly and fluently. Common challenges identified include difficulties in mastering Arabic letters, vocabulary limitations, grammatical errors, and incorrect connections between letters. To address these issues, effective learning strategies and environmental support—particularly from parents—are crucial. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach consisting of four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The participants were students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Taswirul Afkar Surabaya. The findings indicate that the majority of students demonstrate fairly good writing proficiency; however, a small proportion still struggle with specific imla’ aspects, particularly in writing the hamzah and in adding or omitting letters unintentionally. The study contributes to understanding the relationship between imla’ mastery and Arabic writing performance, emphasizing the importance of integrating orthographic awareness in Arabic writing instruction. These insights can guide educators in designing more effective pedagogical approaches to improve maharah kitabah among learners of Arabic at the junior high school level.
