Abstract

This research aims to develop a medium of learning physics animation using Adobe Flash CS5 software on the subject of momentum and impulse. Testing the feasibility of learning through the media trial on 2 validator, ie material experts and design media. This study using ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. This study only uses three stages, namely until the stage of development of animation media learning software designed using Adobe Flash CS5. Validation matter experts on media appearance and suitability of materials with the acquisition of a score of 3.6 that is rated "very valid." Validation specialist media design to display the main menu with the acquisition of a 3.7 score so classified as"very valid." Media planning and expert validation of the content of the material and the suitability of the animation with the acquisition of a score of 3.7 and is rated "very valid." Next to, the survey of 10 students 2nd semester of physics education by looking into the matter and the overall learning animation media with the acquisition of a score of 3.38 and is rated "very valid." Thus the media animation of learning developed worthy as a medium of learning physics subject of momentum and impulse.

Abstract

[Title: Development of Flash Multimedia on Energy Materials to Improve Student Learning Motivation]. This study aims to develop flash multimedia on energy materials to improve student learning motivation. This study is a development research with ADDIE model. Flash multimedia validation involves 2 validators (media experts and media design experts). Validation results show on the aspect of the material with a score of 3.6 with the category "high validity" and the media aspect with a score of 3.4 with the category "high validity". The flash multimedia implementation (trial run) conducted on the 28 students of grade VIII in SMP Negeri 1 Lenangguar, Sumbawa. The results of the implementation showed the students 'motivation before using flash media with the average score of 2.47 with the category "less agree", and after using flash media with average score 3.41 with category "very agree". So it show an increase of student learning motivation. Thus the developement of flash media have eligibility to be used as a medium in learning physics of energy subject matter

Abstract

This research aimed to know there is or no effect of scientific approach toward student’s motivation and learning achievement. The kind of this research was experimental research. Design of this research used pretest and posttest one group design, with population was all students of XI IPA at SMAN 1 Kopang. Sample of this research consist of two classes that is class XI IPA 1 as experimental group and class XI IPA 2 as control group which used random sampling tachnique. Mean of pretest was 23,21 in experimental group and 30,15 in control group. Mean of posttest was 74,74 in experimental group and 57,68 in control group. Percentage of student’s learning motivation was increased 59,85% (low) in experimental group and 64,65% (quite) became 82,40% (high) in experimental  group and 76, 56% (quite) in control group. The data of homogenity and normality was homogen and normal distribution. The data analysis used t-test. The result of t-test was 3,89 for motivation and 5,47 for learning achievement and t-table was 1,99 in 5% level of significant with t-test > t-table. This research showed that there is effect of scientific approach toward student’s motivation and learnig achievement at eleventh year students of SMAN 1 Kopang.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to develope physics learning materials based on Brain-Based Learningthat are valid, practical, and effective to facilitate student’s critical thinking skills in fluid matter. The learning materials development using 4D development model and have been tested on 10th grade students of  The Senior High School of 1 Kopang, academic year 2016/2017, with one group pre-test post-test design trial development research. Data collection methods used were questionnaires validity, tests and observation, whereas data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results were showed several findings: physics learning materials developed had an average score of validity categorized valid, based on the implementation of the lesson plan is obtained that can be done well, especially on elaboration step. The response was very positive towards learning students, critical categorized for student’s critical thinking skills after the trial of physics materials were develop. Based on the results of this trial can be concluded that developement of physics learning material was valid, practical, and effective to facilitate student’s critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This article describes scientific learning that focuses on the implementation of learning on scientific principles to build students' thinking skills in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. The essence of science education becomes the main foundation of the importance of teaching science process skills in learning. Scientific skills that are important to train learners in conducting scientific activities. These skills include, 1) observing; 2) interpret; 3) predict; 4) using tools and materials; 5) apply the concept; 6) planning research; 7) communicate.

Abstract

[Title: The use of water hyacinth as a filler to improve the strength of lightweight brick making based on gold waste]. Research objectives is to testing the compression of lightweight brick. This research was conducted through three stages: Creating lightweight bricks (from waste mining of gold and water hyacinth) horizontally, orthogonally, and randomly. Characterization of the sample as follows: density, and compressive strength. The results show that the best compression analysis at low densities of light bricks horizontally, orthogonally and randomly in compositions: 70% GMW + 30% WH = 0.54MPa, 70% GMW + 30% WH = 1.18MPa, and 85% GMW + 15% WH = 0.73 MPa. Whereas, the density test horizontally, orthogonally, and randomly in composition variations of water hyacinth as follows: 70% GMW + 30% WH = 1.41gr/cm3, 3.40% GMW + 60% WH = 1.89gr/cm3, 85% GMW + 15 WH = 1.20 gr/cm3. It can be concluded that the filler composition is directly proportional to the compressive strength. In addition, the density is inversely proportional to the mass of the lightweight brick.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in learning outcomes of 'Wave courses' between groups of students using cooperative learning models based on inquiry and conventional methods. The sample of this research is Student of Physics Education Department in FPMIPA IKIP Mataram class A and B determined by random sampling technique. Data retrieval was performed with tests for cognitive learning outcomes. Research data were taken through pre-test and post-test scores. The research hypothesis was tested by using t test statistic. The results showed that there were differences in students' cognitive learning outcomes between groups of cooperative learning models based on inquiry with conventional learning model expressed by t-test (2.36)> t-table (1.96) at 5% significance level.

Abstract

[Title: Implementation of Physics Learning Tools Based on Inquiry Learning with Conflict Cognitive Strategies to Facilitate Critical Thinking Ability]. This study aims to implement physics learning device based on inquiry with conflict cognitive strategy to facilitate student’s critical thinking on the fluid material. The device is implemented in the first semester students of Physics Education Study Program IKIP Mataram academic year 2017/2018 with test design using one group pre-test post-test design. Data collection methods used were questionnaires, tests, and observations, while data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the implementation obtained some findings, namely: learning activities can be done well with the high degree of reliability. Student response to learning is very positive with the interest of students to follow the learning. The students' critical thinking skills after the experimentally developed learning tools are critically developed. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that learning tools that are implemented practical, and effectively used to facilitate students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning 'STAD type' on physics learning outcomes of students class X SMA Muhammadiyah Masbagik Academic Year 2012/2013. This research is quasi experiment and its population is all class X high school student. The sample of research is 2 classes that have been determined with purposive sampling technique, that is 25 people from class X-1 as experiment class and 24 person from class X-2 as control. The experimental class used the STAD-type cooperative model and control class using the conventional learning model. The normalized gain-averaged scores for the experimental class were 0.45 (medium category) and 0.33 (medium category) for the control class. We conclude that the experiment class is better than the control class. Based on hypothesis test result t-test = 2.12> t-table = 2.012. That is, there is a significant influence of the STAD model on learning outcomes rather than conventional.
