This research was conducted to describe the mistakes made by students in the Pythagorean theorem materials when solving mathematical problems. This study was conducted using a qualitative description method in an MTs school in West Bandung District, where there are as many as 20 students in Class VIII A. This study uses descriptive tests to collect data. The stage of drawing conclusions is completed through data analysis, data collection and data simplification. The result of calculating the student's answer is part of the data processing technology. Then get the result that students have wrong answers when reducing data. The common mistakes made by students include errors in arithmetic operations, errors in conceptual understanding, errors in students' rush to answer questions that do not match the completion of the steps, and errors in understanding the language of the question.

This study aims to observe students' ability to understand the concept of algebraic forms and solve algebraic form problem solving. This research was carried out with the aim of describing the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts in algebraic form material for seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Tambun Utara Bekasi. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique used in this study is a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts as many as 8 items and documentation. The subjects in this study were seventh grade junior high school students with a total of 20 students as respondents. The data from the research results are based on each category of concept understanding ability, for the high category the percentage is 15%, the medium category is 65%, and the low category is 20%. It was concluded that the students' ability to understand mathematical concepts varied and the majority were in the sufficient category.

This study aims to describe the heuristics of female junior high school students in solving number pattern problems. Two subjects were selected through the provision of a mathematical ability test (TKM) and a problem-solving test (TPM 1) in class VIII E of SMP AL-Hikmah 2 Benda. The instrument used for problem solving test (TPM 1 & 2), and interview guide. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that female students used heuristics to make systematic lists, guess & check, and use models in solving number pattern problems. In addition, female students use their visual representation skills by making guide lines that are used to find the nth pattern and help use their intuition by counting manually until a developed pattern is found. Female students also use the ability to generalize to get the formula for the nth pattern and use knowledge about the types of number patterns to be able to guess the formula for the nth pattern.

The ability to master concepts is one of the obstacles experiences by students in studying algebraic form. This is the background of the author to conduct this research with the aim of knowing the increase in students conceptual mastery if a contextual approach is applied to learning algebraic form in class VII Junior High School of Dharma Kartini Cimahi. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAS) with the methods use are survey, test, and observation methods, the analysis used is qualitative. The results of the stude are evidenced by the improvement in student learning outcomes from the condition of learning completeness that no one reaches the KKM value, increasing in the first cycle as many as 8 students (40%) and in the second cycle it has increased to 15 students (75%). It can be concluded that the application of the contectual approach is good enough to improve students mastery of concepts in algebraic form.

This article aims to examine students' mathematical reasoning abilities in finishing items based problems. The researcher reviewed several literatures related to mathematical reasoning ability, where the method used was literature study. The results of studies that have been carried out by researchers are problem-based questions that have an important role in mathematical reasoning abilities. Through mathematical reasoning abilities students can think logically, critically, effectively, and efficiently. This thinking equips students to be able to finishing items based problems. Next, based on a study of some literature, there are several indicators of mathematical reasoning ability that must be achieved to categorize high, medium, and low mathematical reasoning abilities in finishing items based problems. In this case, the researcher seeks support from experts to strengthen the argument during the study process.

This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which aims to examine the improvement of students’ mathematical understanding concept in the VIII grade SPLDV material at Junior High School 2 Saguling. This research was conducted on class VIII-A students in the 2020-2021 school years. The subjects of this study consisted of 17 students who belonge to group A in class VIII-A. the instruments used were test, interviews, and observation sheets given to teachers and students during classroom action research. The results showed that the aspect of students’ mathematical understanding abilities had increased because the actions given used a scientific approach and the questions on each test were in accordance with the indicators of the mathematical understanding ability. Based on the wprk indicators and processed resluts, it can be concluded that the mathematical understanding ability of grade VIII-A students of junior high school 2 Saguling can be through a scientific approach.

This research aims to analyze learning outcome of grade X students in one of the Public Senior High Schools in Cimahi on the subject of irrational inequalities, using the learning method of flipped learning. Research method used is classroom action research and the subjects being researched are 18 students of grade X IPA. On the first cycle, conventional learning method is used, continued by the second cycle, which used flipped learning model. The data collection technique is using observation, documentation, and 4 essay test question that suitable with indicator of competence achievement. Improvement of learning outcome are then reviewed frommstudents grades in comparison with the school’s KKM on the first as well as the second cycle. In conclusion, there are 61% of student who do not pass the KKM on the first cycle, however by using the flipped learning model on the second cycle, there are only 22% of students who do not pass. It shows that the model gives a better influence toward students’ learning outcome compared to the convensional learning model.

Communicative communication ability is one of the forms of ability that must be possessed by students to answer challenges in the 21st century, therefore research is needed to measure the level of mathematical communication skills in each student. This study aims to analyze and narrate the mathematical abilities of each student in probability theory lectures. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were 6 students in the Mathematics Education study program at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University in the class of 2020. The way to collect data was by observation, instrument testing, and interviews. The indicators used are oriented to the rubric of skilled communication in 21st Century-learning design. The analysis technique used is an assessment using a scoring rubric and then categorizing the score results based on Arikunto's opinion. According to data research that has been done, it is found that students' mathematical communication skills are at the "medium" level with a percentage of 66.67%. As for each indicator: the average student has met the first indicator and has not met the second indicator. Students have not met the second indicator because they have not made generalizations when solving problems.

The purpose of this research is to find out how to develop mathematics teaching materials on flat-sided space using Whatsapp and Android Gif Animations using the Scientific method that is aligned with the Covid 19 conditions. The development of this online learning media is through the validation stage of material experts and media experts. The subject of the trial was carried out on class VIII students at Mts PPI 88 Melong, Cimahi City. This learning media has been validated on material experts with an average score of 4.2 on the "good" eligibility criteria, and on media experts with an average score of 3.95 on the "good" eligibility criteria and was tested on small and large scale classes in Mts PPI 88 Melong Cimahi City.

This research aims to analyze mathematical problem solving skills in statistical material. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII MTS Al-Mubarokah with a sample of 30 people. Data collection techniques using student test results based on indicators of mathematical problem solving ability; 1) identify the adequacy of the problem; 2) planning problem solving; 3) selecting and implementing problem solving strategies; 4) verify the results of problem solving. Based on the results and discussion of the research, it shows that the difficulty of students in working on story-shaped questions occurs in the indicator of identifying the adequacy of the problem with an error percentage of 90% and occurs in the indicator of choosing and implementing problem solving strategies with an error percentage of 85% and the following data are included in the high category. The causative factors include; students do not understand the basic concepts of statistics, are not able to identify problems correctly and precisely, are not able to communicate problems with mathematical models.
