Abstract

Learning mathematics using the concept of mathematical understanding is needed to solve a mathematical problem. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which aims to analyze the ability to understand students’ mathematical concepts in SPtLDV material with the help of geogebra media. The subjects of this study were 20 students of class X Senior High School 1 Cisarua with low, medium, and high categories. The instruments used are the initial tests (before the action); the first and second cycle test (after giving the action); interview; observation sheets for teachers and students regarding the research conducted. The resultas obtained in the pre-cycle are 30%, in the first cycle there are 45%, and in the second cycle there are 90% who have the ability to understand students’ understanding of the SPtLDV material. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the students’ mathematical understanding ability on SPtLDV material assisted by geogebra media has increased.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' interest in learning through-assisted learning geogebra. This Research design is a qualitative descriptive research method. The Population of this study were all students of class VIII A at SMP PASUNDAN 3 CIMAHI with the sample used was 15 students. Data collection techniques in this study are Observation, Documentation, Questionnaire sheets and Interviews. The observation instruments and questionnaire instruments in this study were students' learning interest attitudes scale with 18 statements consisting of negative and positive statements about learning using theapplication geogebra. Data processing techniques in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that students' interest in learning straight line equations assisted by media geogebra software shows positive results with the average response showing a very strong category with a percentage of 69,16%. The Average is obtained from the data for each indicator of student learning interest.

Abstract

The study aims to provide results from an analysis of the need for such materials as ICT at Senior High School levels. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through Google form spread by the respondents of 5 math subjects from several Senior High Schools and 10 students at one Senior High School in Sukabumi district. The angular instruments used in this study are based on three things: math study, mathematical materials, and the use of ICT with the analysis techniques used are (1) studying all the data gathered, (2) studying the open angular response results (3) describing ICT - supported teaching needs. Based on the results of this research analysis, math learning uses a saintifical approach and a variety of approaches consistent with the material and the characteristics of he student, the study of mathematical materials is desirable when the relative material is easy to understand, and the use of ICT is essential because it can not only accommodate and strengthen the student's imagination in understanding mathematical materials. Thus, teaching that is appropriate and can sustain students' ability in the learning process, which is in the LKS form by providing ict assistance.

Abstract

This study aims to produce valid, practical e-modul on grade V SD/MI fraction materials, and to determine the effectiveness of the e-modules that have been developed. This research is a development research using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The object of this research is the quality of e-modules based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in the material of fractions for class V SD/MI that was developed. Data collection techniques by observation, questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques in this study are validity analysis, practicality analysis and effectiveness analysis. Based on the results of the study indicate that the developed e-module can be declared valid based on the assessment of media experts with an average score of 3.1; material expert assessment with an average score of 3.2; and obtained very valid criteria based on the assessment of educators with an average score of 3.7. E-Modules are also stated to be very practical based on student response questionnaires with a total average score of 3.5 and the results of learning observations of 86%; and the e-module was declared very effective based on the student learning outcomes test with a percentage of 82%.

Abstract

This study was conducted based on observations during the implementation of learning during the covid-19 pandemic which showed the low ability of students to master SPLDV materials, considering that it requires independence in studying good self regulated learning. This research aims to analyze the influence of independence in studying science (self regulated learning) on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in SPLDV materials when learning during the covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted by quantitative methods with a correlational approach. 15 students of class VIII at one of the junior high schools in West Bandung Regency were the subjects in this study. This research was conducted in November during the first semester of the 2021/2022 School Year. Used research instruments are about tests of mathematical reasoning skills, interview guidelines and self regulated learning opinion scales that have been adjusted to their respective indicators. Based on the test results obtained the conclusion that (1) the mathematical reasoning ability of students is influenced by independence in studying the student's self regulated learning. (2) Independence in studying the science (self regulated learning) students positively affect the mathematical reasoning ability of students. (3) The relationship between independence in self regulated learning and mathematical reasoning skills is in a very strong category.

Abstract

This research includes quantitative research using the Quasi Experimental Design method to examine the effect of differences in the use of the ECIRR learning model, the PQ4R learning model and the Direct Instruction model on mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of students' self-efficacy. Data collection techniques used are tests, questionnaires and documentation. Sampling using Cluster Random Sampling. The population in this study were seventh grade students of SMP Darul Ulum Sekampung. Class VII.2 as the experimental class 1 using the ECIRR model, class VII.1 as the experimental class 2 using the PQ4R model, and class VII.3 as the control class using the Direct Instruction model with fractional material. Data analysis used two-way ANOVA of unequal cells. The results of this study are (1) there is an effect of differences in the use of the ECIRR learning model, the PQ4R learning model, and the Direct Instruction model on mathematical problem solving abilities, (2) there is an effect of mathematical problem solving abilities between students who have high, medium, and low self-efficacy. , and (3) there is no interaction between the learning model and self-efficacy on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this Study was to produce teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning's Approach with a valid, effective and practical using powerpoint video to enhance problem solving mathematics abilities. The study was conducted in three public Junior High Schools at Empat Lawang District, South Sumatra. The  research methode of this teaching materials development modified from the Borg & Gall's model. This study was conducted in class VIII consisting of 18 students as first trial sample, 28 students as second trial sample and 60 students as final sample. The instruments were: interview sheet, validation sheets, reading sheets, student responses, and problem solving tests. The result showed that: (1) 78.89% from  main field testing students were good interpretations and 81.43% operational field testing students were very good interpretation, which means that the teaching material can be directly used without revision process; (2) at the phase of product testing showed that the development of teaching materials using powerpoint video was "quite effectively" and  53,33% of students who take a problem-solving mathematics test had score at least 71, and (3) 82.667%  students had a  favorably response of this teaching material, it means that this teaching material was very practical and  can be used to enhance mathematics problem solving ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this reseach is to analyze student learning outcomes on the material of a two variable system of linear equations by using a scientific approach assisted with learning videos. This reseach is classroom action reseach which is carried out in  2 cycles. In the first cycle of learning  using a scientific approach without using learninh videos, while in the second cycle of learning using a scientific approach with the help of learning videos. The targets in this study were class VIII in one of the MTs in Bogor district. Collecting data based on the result  of observations and student learning outcomes test sheets based on idicators of student competency achievement on the achievement of  KKM scores by providing 5 item of  description. From the  test results it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes in solving problems on the material of a two variable linear equations system in the form of a story. In the first cycle the students who completed the KKM were 50% while the students who completed the KKM in the second cycle were 90% of the total 20 student.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the errors of MTs students on the concept of a one-variable linear equation (PLSV), using a qualitative descriptive research method. The data collection in this study was carried out by providing 7 questions about the concept of a one-variable linear equation (PLSV) and interviews with the data processing technique used, namely analyzing student errors, based on indicators of error in understanding the definition of a one-variable linear equation. The subject that the researcher used was 19 students of class VII-B in one of the private MTs in Cipeundeuy District with heterogeneous abilities. From the results of the study stated that; (1) the type of error students with low ability make is wrong when determining which incluades a one-variable linear equation, not a one-variable linear equation and cannot mention the variables and constants of an equation; (2) the type of error made to the medium ability student cannot mention the constant of an equation; and (3) the type of error of students with high ability is wrong in mentioning constants. So it can be concluded that the cause of student errors is that there are still many who do not understand the basic concept of a one-variable linear equation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve student learning outcomes on the Pythagorean theorem material through the use of Problem Based Learning models. The type of research is Classroom Action Research which was conducted during the second cycle. This research was carried out in 5 steps: (1) student orientation to problems (2) organizing students for learning, (3) assisting individual and group investigations, (4) developing and presenting work, (5) analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process. The research subjects were 15 students of class VIII in one of the junior high schools in Cimahi. The data collection technique was carried out by giving pre-test and post-test questions about the Pythagorean theorem. The results showed: a) The percentage of complete student learning outcomes at the beginning of the meeting was 0.0% with an average value of 21.73, b. The percentage of completeness in the first cycle is 46.6% with an average value of 58.4, c) The percentage of completeness in the second cycle is 86.6% with an average value of 77.2. Based on the results of the research, can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve student learning outcomes on the Pythagorean theorem material.
