Abstract

An increasingly competitive industrial era to maintain and increase interest in buying and selling products to consumers is very important, every business actor wants to how to win the competition in the business so that they can exist in this field by maintaining the quality of the products to be marketed. The coffee products in the company have three defects, namely damaged packaging containers, inappropriate weight, and coarse coffee grounds. The seven tools method will determine the causes of defects in coffee products. From the analysis of the Check Sheet table, it is known that there are three types of defects. From the histogram, it is known that the most defect data distribution is the damaged packaging containers of 1252 pcs, P control chart, it is known that the UCL value is 0.2993 and LCL -0.1525 these values are within the control limit. Pareto diagram shows that the most dominant type of defect is WKR (53.97%). Correlation calculations using the Scatter diagram obtained a value of -7.380. This value shows that the two relationships between defective packaging containers and coarse coffee grounds have a negative relationship. From the Fishbone diagram and RCA analysis, it is known that the causes of disability with the highest WKR are man, machine, method, and material factors. Corrective action, namely the need to change the packaging, provide breeding to the operator, provide training, and maintain the machine so that the engine remains in good condition.

Abstract

This study uses moving average and exponential smoothing methods to predict the demand for Raskin rice in Banda Aceh. The Logistics Agency (Bulog) is a food institution in Indonesia that organizes a rice trading system, which functions to provide rice distribution services to the public. The fluctuation in demand for Raskin rice in Banda Aceh makes it difficult for Bulog to predict future needs. In addition, the excess supply of Raskin rice will also be very detrimental because rice is a staple that is perishable. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to predict the demand for Raskin rice in Banda Aceh. The results of forecasting or prediction by comparing two methods and three errors in forecasting accuracy, it can be concluded that the exponential smoothing method with α = 0.90 can be used to predict the demand for Raskin rice in Banda Aceh City. The prediction result of the demand for raskin rice in Banda Aceh is 92,407 tons, with an MAD error rate of 4.92, MSE 34.58, and MAPE 0.006%, or having the smallest value compared to the 7-month moving average method.

Abstract

Roti Gembong Kota Raja is a company engaged in the culinary field with a contemporary concept. Roti Gembong Kota Raja has the term "gembong" because of its puffed texture. The raw materials for producing this bread are wheat flour, sugar, salt, yeast, eggs, milk, butter, water, and others. This study aims to select the appropriate raw material suppliers for producing the bread. Assessment of supplier performance is for wheat flour and sugar. The wheat flour suppliers are suppliers "A", "B", and "C", while the suppliers for the sugar are suppliers "X", "Y", and. "Z". Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires distributed to the HRD of Roti Gembong Kota Raja. The obtained data were processed using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method and Rating Scale methods. The ANP method can be used in decision making to calculate the weight of the criteria and sub-criteria of suppliers, while the Rating Scale method can be used to get the right order or priority of suppliers for wheat flour and sugar. There had 5 selected criteria and 18 sub-criteria in the selection of raw material suppliers for wheat flour and sugar. The results of data analysis using the ANP method showed the criteria weight that has the highest limit value on the raw materials of wheat flour and sugar, namely customer satisfaction. The results of the calculation of the final total performance of the wheat flour supplier with the Rating Scale showed that supplier B has the highest final performance score of 3.48162 with the high-performance category. Meanwhile, the final total performance of the sugar supplier showed that supplier X has the highest final performance score of 3.55081 with the high-performance category.

Abstract

Noise is a sound or voice, based on the Decree of the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia No. Per.13 / MEN / X / 2011, regarding the average maximum limit in the working area, the average limit of normal hearing in working conditions for 5 hours, a maximum of 87 dB and the standard for laboratory rooms according to the Decree of the Minister of State and Environment No.48 1996 Regarding the Standard Noise Level is 55 dB. PDAM (Regional Drinking Water Company) Tirta Daroy Banda Aceh City is a company that provides clean water for the people of Banda Aceh. PDAM Tirta Daroy has a laboratory that functions as a water quality inspection site. Measurement using a simple method in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of State and Environment No.48 of 1996, the Laboratory of PDAM Tirta Daroy has two roars, namely the testing room and the operator room, the measurement from the test room, the LS (day measurement) value is 62 dB, while the value measurement of the operator space, the value of the LS (day measurement) is 55 dB and the measurement of the average value of the examiner room and the space operator, the value of the LS (day measurement) is 55.20202 dB.

Abstract

Determining the optimal size of procurement or production is the key word in determining optimal inventory. An integrated procurement and production size optimization model becomes a model that provides optimal results for all parties involved in the supply chain. This study proposes the development of a single producer and multi retailer supply chain model with the aim of minimizing the total inventory cost (TIC). The company distributes products to each retailer for further sale to consumers by the retailer. The annual demand from retailers is assumed to be different. Model development is carried out to obtain optimal production quantities for producers, optimal delivery quantities and determine the optimal number of retailers. The determination is based on the manufacturer's production cycle time is the same as the inventory cycle time at each retailer is the same. A simple algorithm is used to determine the optimal cycle time which can be followed by determining the optimal production size, optimal number of shipments and optimal number of retailers. At the end of this study, a numerical example of the use of a model that has been built based on case study data of a fertilizer industry is presented as a producer and its partners as retailers. The results of the numerical examples that have been carried out show that the optimal number of retailers is 3 retailers with an optimal production of 742 units, the determination of the optimal number of retailers is obtained from experiments with the lowest TIC value.

Abstract

The level of customer satisfaction with service is an important factor in developing a service provision system that is responsive to customer needs. Based on the results of this study, namely the results of the CSI calculation, the customer satisfaction index value for the services provided by the PLN Meulaboh Area is 86% on a scale range of 85% < X 89% so that it can be said that the level of customer satisfaction there is generally in the Very Good category. means very good but there is still a sense of dissatisfaction from customers of PT. PLN (Persero) Meulaboh Area is 14%, therefore the service level of PT. PLN (Persero) Meulaboh Area should be further improved. Based on the results of the calculation of the level of conformity with the interests of the customer, it can be seen clearly from the Cartesian diagram, where there are 6 attributes that need to be repaired immediately, namely (P6) the accuracy of each record made by the meter reader officer, (P10) The condition of the KWH meter (turnover of numbers). according to the amount of usage), (P11) the speed of response in serving requests for submitting new pairs or changes in power, (P13) the lack of speed in the procedures for installing new connections or simple power changes, (P16) smooth processing of electricity payments through local banks and (P16) P24) compensation to customers for mistakes made by officers.

Abstract

PT Agung Pelita Industrindo is a company engaged in the shoe industry that specializes in producing accessories or shoe components for various types of shoes. One of the products produced is the Foxing component product, which is a component produced for the NIKE Air Max Plus type of shoe. Based on the results of observations, it is known that the production process for Foxing component products still has product defects and The purpose of this research is to control the quality of the product of the foxing component at PT. Agung Pelita and to get information the most dominant types of defects in the Foxing production process and the factors causing the occurrence of defective products using the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method and providing suggestions for improvements to reduce the number of defective products. From the results of the analysis obtained six types of defects produced in the Foxing component production process, the more dominant type of defect is waste defects, namely defects that occur due to unwanted small prints on Foxing component materials, so that the proposed improvements that can be made by PT Agung Pelita Industrindo to reduce the number of waste defects in the production process of Foxing's component products is to hold outreach to operators to improve understanding of SOPs related to mold cleaning.

Abstract

Operator workload in a company can be grouped into low or high workloads. Operators feel the workload is low if each activity is carried out easily and safely so that it does not exceed the operator's capabilities. Meanwhile, a heavy workload is felt when the work exceeds the operator's ability limit which can cause fatigue and work accidents. PT Ujong Neubok Dalam is a company that produces Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and kernels. In the production section, there are workstations such as loading rump, sterilization, digester and press, clarification, and others. The production target is 270 tons/day of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) which are produced into CPO. The demand for production targets resulted in complaints and discomfort felt by the production department operator. The purpose of this study was to analyze the workload and workload indicators of production operators using the NASA-TLX method. From the calculation results of 17 operators, the mental workload that is classified as high is felt by 7 operators with an average Weighted Workload (WWL) of 81-89, while 10 operators are classified as high mental workloads with a WWL value of 78-67. Of the 6 NASA-TLX indicators, 3 indicators have the highest mental workload values, namely physical needs (KF), effort (U), and work performance (PK) with details of the average value of 248 - 260.

Abstract

Production planning is the process of producing goods in a certain period in accordance with what is predicted or scheduled through organizing resources such as labor, raw materials, machinery and other equipment. PT. Beurata Subur Persada is one of the palm oil mills whose production planning and production capacity can still be optimized again, optimizing production planning will have an impact on costs and profits that have been maximized. During this time PT. BSP often experiences idle capacity and lack of raw materials due to poor initial planning. This study aims to determine the optimal amount of production planning production for production planning at PT. Beurata Subur Persada period January - December 2021. Optimization of CPO production is carried out using the Goal Programming method and model completion is carried out with the help of the Linear Interactive Discrete Optimizer (LINDO) program. The objective function of the model is based on the goals to be achieved by PT. BSP, namely meeting the demand for CPO, minimizing CPO production costs, minimizing the cost of purchasing Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB), and maximizing FFB processing. The results obtained from this study are the number of Optimal CPO Production Planning at PT. The percentage of Subur Persada for production planning for the period January 2021 – December 2021 is 2,483,173,750 Kg in a row; 2,380,724,000 Kg ; 2,370,230,250 Kg ; 2,454,504,750 Kg ; 2,610,965750 Kg ; 2,765,000,500 Kg ; 2,934,000,500 Kg ; 3,067,094,500 Kg ; 2,983,999,500 Kg ; 2,972,001,250 Kg ; 2,836,852,500 Kg ; 2,650,128,250 Kg and the Optimal FFB Purchase Amount to be achieved by PT. Beurata Subur Persada for production planning for the January 2021 – December 2021 period, respectively, is 7,577,220,500 Kg; 7,951,500,000 Kg ; 8,673,920,000 Kg; 7,685,560,000 Kg ; 7,827,840,000 Kg ; 9,977,241,000 Kg ; 10,489,481,000 Kg ; 12,910,930,000 Kg ; 11,779,611,000 Kg ; 10,345,760,000 Kg ; 8,700,900,000 Kg and 6,983,760,000 Kg.

Abstract

This study aimed to carry out the process of controlling postharvest products, namely the fruits processed into juice produced by the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Nozy Juice in Banda Aceh. The problem faced is that an uncontrolled production process can cause product damage, which can cause losses. The research methodology used is the six sigma method, and the type of data used is secondary data, namely production process data, production quantities, and damage data. The results showed a sigma level of 3.38, which means there is still a need for improvement or control of the product because there are still product defects. There are three types of defects in the production process, namely 61% damaged stickers, 31% damaged seals, and 8% dirty. Sticker damage is the most dominant defect caused by human factors, work methods, and the environment. The corrective action suggestions are designing and establishing SOP, recording the entire production process, increasing supervision, establishing a reward/punishment system, training employees, and conducting evaluations. The results of this study are expected to provide technical and practical contributions for business actors to improve and maintain product quality, satisfaction, productivity, and profit.
