Abstract

The estimation of the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) is estimated to be a lack of rubber supply in the period of the next two decades. For this reason, the government has set the target of developing Indonesian rubber production at 3-4 million tons/year by 2025. The production target can only be achieved if at least 85% of the currently less productive rubber plantation area is successfully rejuvenated with various technologies to improve soil productivity and using superior rubber clones.Biopori hole is a vertical hole into the ground to increase the rate of infiltration of rainwater. This research was done in rubber land Jaharun B of village, sub district of Galang, Deli Serdang district, on Februari until Agustus 2017. This research was used Randomized Blok Design Non Factorial with 4 dose of rubber litter treatment is K1 : Control, K2 : 3 kg, K3 : 3.5 kg, K4 : 4 kg.      The addition of rubber litter treatment by biopori was able to repair the biology characteristic of soil for all parameters {(C-organic (%), N-total (%), C/N and amount of soil microbial)}with the addition of rubber litter is 3.5 kg. The more given of rubber litter into the ground, it can to repair the chemical characteristic of soil in rubber plantation.  Keyword : Biopori, Biology Charateristic of Soil, Productivity in Rubber Plantation

Abstract

The research conduct to hydroponic cultivation of lettuce plants with hydroponic media and nutrient composition to the growth and yield of lettuce. The research conducted at the Agro Wisata Hidroponik Meuria Paloh Muara Satu Subdistrict Lhokseumawe city. The activities started in April untill June 2019. This study aimed was determine the influence ofmedia and nutrient composition to the growth and yield of lattuce (Lactuca sativa Var. L).  This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial with 2 factors and 4 replications. The first factoris the provision of Nutrient (N) with 6 levels is: N1(6 ml AB Mix/ L), N2 (6 ml POC/L), N3 (6 ml Gandasil D/ L), N4 (3 ml AB Mix and 3 ml POC/L), N5 (3 ml AB Mix and 3 ml Gandasil D/L) dan N6 (3 ml POC and 3 ml Gandasil D/L). The second factor is the uses of planting media (M) with 2 M1 (rockwool) dan M2 (brick fragments). The result of this research showed that nutrients compotition and media hydroponics that treatment N4 and N5 give the better result of plant growth and yield mean while on the other hand and there is an interaction of fresh leaf weight. Keywords: AB Mix, POC NASA, Gandasil D,  Rockwool, Lettuce

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see growth and get the best dose of the growth of dragon seeds in the land of the former gold mine. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 3 levels of treatment and was repeated 3 times so that 9 experimental units were obtained. The treatments used were A0 (0 g / plant), A1 (20 g / plant), and A2 (25 g / plant). The research data were analyzed using the ANOVA table at the 5% significance level if the F count is greater than the F% table 5%, then a further test of Honestly Significant Difference (BNJ) was at the 5% real level. The observed variables were the time of emergence of shoots, when the bud appears, length of shoots, and the percentage of seedlings that lived and the correlation between observed variables. The results of this study are that in general dragon plant seedlings have been able to grow well on former gold mine soil. Of the three treatments given a dose of 0 g / polybag was the best dose of the time the bud appeared (31.00 days after planting) and the number of tillers (3.00 stems) formed. The dose of 25 g / polybag is the best dose of shoot length (33.22 cm).

Abstract

Shallots is a horticultural commodity that has high economic value. One way to improve the growth and yield shallots is by cutting the tubers and providing it with chicken manure. This research was conducted in Paloh Lada Village which is located in Dewantara Sub-district, North Aceh Regency and Agroecotechnology Laboratory at the Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University starting from September-November 2018 with the aim to determine the effect the size the tuber cuts and the adduction chicken manure doses to Bima Brebes shallots growth and yield. This research uses a Randomized Block Design with Factorial pattern. The first factor is the size of the tuber cuts which consists of three levels, namely level 0 (without cutting), cutting 1/4 part of the tuber and the last one is cutting 1/3 part of the tuber. The second factor is the dose of the chicken manure which also consists of 3 levels, namely dose 0 (without chicken manure), 75 grams of chicken manure/polybag and 100 grams of chicken manure/polybag. This research consists of 9 treatment combinations 3 replications and 27 experimental units. The results of this research shows that the tuber cutting significantly affected the number of leaves at 14 days after planting, then it has a very significant effect on the number of leaves at 42 days after planting and it has an effect on the tuber dry weight. Meanwhile, the tuber cutting has no significat effect on the plant height, number of tillers, tuber gross weight and tuber weight loss. The adduction of chicken manure significantly affected the plant height at 28 days after planting and the tuber dry weight, although it doesn’t have any significant effect on the plant height at 14 and 42 days after planting, number of leaves, number of tillers, tuber gross weight and tuber weight loss.

Abstract

The presence of activity, gold mining  causing the top layer of soil (top soil) which has high fertility mixed with other soil at the bottom which has low fertility and this can reduce productivity soil. Productivity soil can be increased by improving soil chemical properties, one of which is by adding organic material in the form of titonia compost. The purpose of this study was to obtain the correct dosage of titonia compost (Tithonia diversifolia) in the former gold mine land to increase the growth and yield of soybean plants (Glycine max L.). This study used a randomized block design (RBD) with 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications. The treatments given were without treatment (A), 10 kg of titonia compost (B), 20 kg of titonia compost (C), 30 kg of titonia compost (D) and 40 kg of titonia compost (E). The research data were statistically analyzed by the F test at 5% level. If the test results with the F test are significantly different then proceed with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (test DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results of this study show that the administration of titonia compost (Tithonia diversifolia) 40 kg / bed improves soil chemical properties, growth and yield of soybean plants. Abstract

Land, as a natural resource, has various pressures along with the increase in the human population which has caused a decrease in the quality and land productivity. Decreasing soil quality is caused by nutrients that are washed away by rain and erosion mainly occurs on land that does not apply appropriate conservation management. The rate of erosion and sedimentation in an area illustrates the condition of the watershed management system. This study aims to predict the rate of soil erosion in the Krueng Pirak watershed in North Aceh Regency. The method used in this study is the survey method as follows: preparation, observation, data analysis and presentation of results. The results showed that the calculation of erosion predictions in the Krueng Pirak sub-watershed in North Aceh had different predictive values for each Land Mapping Unit (LMU). The highest erosion prediction is in LMU21 of 882.38 tons / ha / year with coconut vegetation, while the lowest is in LMU14 which only has 0.29 tons / ha / year. This happens because of the low carbon content of forest vegetation. For the Krueng Pirak sub-watershed area, there are several LMU areas that need to be preserved, including LMU2, LMU4, LMU6, LMU9, LMU10, LMU13, LMU15, LMU16, LMU17 and LMU21. This is because the value of predicted erosion in this area exceeds acceptable erosion values. Some conservation efforts that need to be done are in LMU 11 by integrating rubber plants with cassava plants. PL 12, SPL 13, SPL 15 by integrating the main crops with corn, upland rice, cassava, peanuts and plant residues used as mulch. Conservation in LMU16 and LMU21 is carried out by reforestation by covering the soil at the beginning of the year, while in LMU17 conservation is done by combining teak plantations with pea and green bean plants. Keywords: Sub-watershed, Prediction of Erosion, Conservation, LMU

Abstract

Stimulants are a substance used to stimulate the rubber plant to remove more latex than usual. Giving stimulant is usually done on plants aged over 6 years and on slow stater clones such as PB217 stimulant application done in the morning and a sunny day (not rain). Applied to the tapping grooves with lace application technique that is by lubricating the stimulant solution on the tapping groove without pulling scrapnya, in this study water-soluble stimulant or 1 liter of stimulant mixed by 3 liters of water to form a concentration of 2.5% stimulant used Ethrel PA 10. The research was conducted in Afdelling I Kebun Tanah Besih PT. Socfin. The time of this study was conducted in July until August 2017. The results showed that in giving stimulant can increase the production of latex, and lump, it's just DRC decreased dikolakan stimulant solution used has stimulated rubber tree to absorb water more than usual so that greater amount of water than its latex content. Keywords: Lubrication Time, Dose, and Tapping System

Abstract

This study aims to compare the active compound of Paraquat and Atrazine herbicides applied for weed controlling between plant spacing of corn. The research was conducted in Paya Beunyot Village, Banda Baro Regency North Aceh from July to September 2019, and continued with Samples analysis at the Agroecotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Malikussaleh. The experimental design used was a factorial randomized block design; herbicides type of paraquat with a concentration of 1.38 kg/ha, atrazine concentration 1.2 kg/ha and the second factor were plant spacing (P): P1= plant spacing of 50x30 cm, P2= plant spacing of 60x25 cm, P3= plant spacing of 75x20 cm. The results showed that herbicide applied had a very significant effect on weed wet weight, dry weight, percentage of weeds under control and phytotoxicity of weeds. The results showed the interspace of the plant gave a very significant increase in seeds weight either per plant and per plot. The result of variance analysis showed there was no interaction between herbicides utilize and planting distance in all observed variables.Keywords; Corn (Zea mays L.), herbicide, plant spacing

Abstract

Kehadiran gulma asing invasif (GAI) memberikan peluang terjadinya peristiwa yang tidak dikehendaki sebagai akibat dari tindakan pengelolaan tanaman introduksi yang menguasai dan menyebar pada lahan pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi dan menganalisis resiko spesies GAI pada lahan pertanian di Sawang Aceh Utara. Titik lokasi pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada beberapa tipe penggunaan lahan (TPL) yaitu kebun/tegalan, huma/ladang, sawah non-irigasi, sawah irigasi, perkebunan, padang rumput, hutan rakyat, dan kolam/tambak. Jenis GAI dikoleksi secara langsung dari lapangan dengan metode jelajah, dan dianalisis menggunakan sistem scoring mengacu pada pedoman analisis risiko GAI dari KLHK (Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Hutan, Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan) dan FORIS (Forests in Southeast Asia) Indonesia. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan terdapat 659 individu GAI yang berasal dari 36 spesies dan 14 famili. Famili yang memiliki spesies GAI terbanyak adalah famili Poaceae. Jenis gulma terbanyak berasal dari jenis gulma berdaun lebar sebanyak 20 spesies, sedangkan jumlah spesies GAI terbanyak yaitu spesies Rhynchospora colorata (L.) dengan jumlah 66 individu. Kategori risiko sangat tinggi disebabkan oleh spesies Axonopus compressus, Chromolaena odorata dan Paspalum conjugatum pada lahan tegalan/kebun, spesies Cyperus distans dan Rhynchospora colorata pada lahan ladang/huma, spesies Dactyloctenium aegyptium pada lahan padang rumput dan spesies gulma Panicum maximum pada lahan sawah irigasi.Kategori risiko sedang terdapat spesies gulma Ageratina adenophora pada lahan perkebunan dan spesies gulma Ageratum conyzoides pada lahan sawah non irigasi.Kategori risiko rendah  terdapat spesies gulma Digitaria fuscescens pada lahan hutan rakyat dan Heliotropium indicum pada lahan perkebunan.

Abstract

Tanaman terung (Solanum melongena L.) adalah tanaman sayuran yang berasal dari famili Solanaceae. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon tanaman terung pada berbagai media tanam dan dosis pupuk NPK serta interaksi antara keduanya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret sampai Mei 2019 di Gampong Krueng Lingka Kecamatan Langkahan Kabupaten Aceh Utara, dan di Laboratorium Agroekoteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Malikussaleh Aceh Utara dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial yaitu media tanam (M) dengan tiga taraf yaitu M0=Tanah (kontrol), M1= Tanah+Pupuk Kandang Sapi (PKS) (2:1) (v/v), M2= Tanah+PKS (3:1); dan dosis pupuk NPK (D) dengan empat taraf yaitu D0= tanpa pupuk (kontrol), D1= 100 kg ha-1 (4,30 g tanaman-1), D2= 200 kg ha-1 (8,40 g tanaman-1), D3= 300 kg ha-1 (13,1 g tanaman-1). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media tanam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap diameter batang, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah, diameter buah serta berat buah. Dosis pupuk NPK berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, diameter buah, berat buah serta berpengaruh nyata pada luas daun dan jumlah buah. Tidak ada interaksi nyata antara media tanam dan dosis pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terung.
