Abstract

Seismic parameters provide important information that describes the characteristics of an earthquake. The magnitude parameter is one of the essential seismic parameters in making the right decision regarding earthquake disaster mitigation. Determining the magnitude of an earthquake must be done early because this information represents the size of the earthquake and the potential damage it causes. If the determination of the earthquake’s magnitude is delayed, emergencies such as the evacuation of residents and post-disaster recovery may be disrupted. This study attempts to estimate the earthquake magnitude parameters based on Primary (P) wave signals using several machine learning algorithms for regression, such as Neural Network Regression (NNR), Random Forest Regression (RFR), and Support Vector Machine Regression (SVMR). The experimental results show that the RFR can produce the best estimation with an R-squared (R2) value of 0.946 and a root mean square error (RMSE) of 0.087.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence in a game plays a vital role in enhancing the player's gaming experience, especially in single-player games. NPCs are the primary means of interaction in single-player games, assisting and guiding players like interactions with other players. Chaos Crossing requires pathfinding technology for optimal NPC movement, allowing them to navigate the environment grid-based while avoiding static obstacles. The Dijkstra algorithm and the A-Star algorithm need to be compared because, based on previous research, the Dijkstra algorithm has proven effective for calculating the shortest distance to the destination point in a static environment based on a two-dimensional grid with characters moving in it, as well as the A-Star algorithm can avoid a static environment based on grid and is used to determine the shortest distance to the destination point in the character's movement. This quantitative research aims to find a solution that optimizes NPC movement by testing and comparing Dijkstra's and A-Star's algorithms in a static environment grid based on the game Chaos Crossing. The test results and comparative analysis show that the A-Star algorithm performs a faster route search with an average value of 36.37 seconds than Dijkstra's algorithm with an average matter of 20.76 seconds and utilizes memory more efficiently with an average value of 20.19 MB than Dijkstra's algorithm with a value 22.17 MB on average. However, Dijkstra's algorithm produces a slightly shorter track distance, with an average value of 42.26 units, compared to the A-Star algorithm, with an average value of 42.39 units.

Abstract

Improving localization accuracy and reducing development costs are pivotal keys and main issues in managing and administrating wireless sensor networks (WSNs). This paper considers a modern and qualified algorithm that leverages advanced optimization techniques to localize nodes deployed in outdoor environments. The proposed algorithm, named Intelligent Water Drops with Simulated Annealing (IWDSA), combines two powerful optimization methods: Intelligent Water Drops (IWD) and Simulated Annealing (SA). IWD is a qualified stochastic optimization tool adept at minimizing objective functions. In IWDSA, SA is integrated to enhance solution quality and prevent IWD from getting trapped in local minima. This paper ensures that internal distances between nodes are calculated using Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) measurements. The paper aims to achieve two primary goals. First, it addresses the challenge of low accuracy in RSSI measurements by employing IWDSA. Second, it aims to achieve highly accurate localization of unknown sensor nodes in WSNs. IWDSA enhances localization precision due to its flexible implementation of IWD and SA, combined with the cost-free utilization of RSSI. Simulation results demonstrate the reliable performance of the proposed algorithm in solving the low accuracy of RSSI measurements and localizing unknown nodes with high accuracy. Additionally, simulation results confirm that the proposed algorithm IWDSA exhibits outstanding performance compared to other algorithms utilizing optimization techniques, including genetic algorithms, bat algorithms, ant colony optimization, and swarm optimization. This exceptional performance is evident across various evaluation metrics, including localization error, localization rate, and simulation runtime.

Abstract

One of the protection mechanisms for organizations to protect their data is through information security risk assessment. The main obstacle in this area is asset dependency. Previous research developments tended to produce models that were difficult to implement because they were only applied to small assets, in contrast to the complexity of implementation in the field. This form of problem solving is a workflow-oriented security assessment solution that provides security rationale from a holistic perspective. The weakness of complexity in workflow oriented then became the basis of this research. The proposed solution is a simplification by using combined nodes that enable a modular concept. The modular concept is then applied to a reliable model, a data flow diagram. The study output shows the contribution of offerings with assessment solutions that consider dependencies by simplifying asset complexity in workflows in a modular manner with data flow diagrams.

Abstract

Currently, there are many applications of technology-based financial funding, and some have even been legalized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), which is called fintech. In reality, it is still burdensome for business actors because of the difficulty in paying the installments that must be borne, whereas the business will have funds only if the goods they are selling are sold. In the Siliwangi University campus environment, students are required to take entrepreneurship lectures. So far, the learning process activities have only been in the form of concepts and theories; this has become an obstacle to field practice. In the field of entrepreneurship, these students become business actors. However, there is a difficulty in practicing entrepreneurship since students' capital is limited. On this issue, the campus is obliged to facilitate the creation of an entrepreneurial learning process as an investor. To connect the entrepreneurship learning process, information technology is needed. The application is intended to assist in the process of providing business capital by applying the concept of Islamic economics, namely the Islamic peer to peer financing model. This model provides flexibility between business actors and investors in providing financial assistance with potential profits and losses shared together. Based on the above problems, to support student entrepreneurship programs, it is necessary to apply financing for entrepreneurship program assistance based on the Islamic peer to peer financing model. From the results of testing the application can be applied to support the student entrepreneurship learning process based on the respondent's score of 82.08333 which indicates that the System Usability Scale value for this application is Acceptable.

Abstract

Due to waiting time in cashier queues, resulting in a decline in consumer satisfaction and loss of precious time. Because of this problem, we proposed the solution for reducing waiting time in the cashier queue is a tool that can identify the type of retail product and the quantity that customers will be purchasing. In creating the design, Blender is used for the 3D, and Figma is used for creating User Inteface (UI). Hardware implementation using Jetson NANO microcomputer with camera modules to capture products and Wi-Fi capabilities to enable seamless cloud integration with its web application. Implemented in parallel with hardware implementation, the software implementation focused on creating a web application that displays every product that enters the Smart Cart. A combination of sensors, wifi modules, and a microcomputer ensures optimal performance for data handling with the database. The approximate round trip connection to the database has a minimum time as small as 17ms while the maximum is 57ms and the average is 23ms.

Abstract

Communication today requires a secure, reliable and efficient network, especially on enterprise networks. This research focuses on combining advantages from Frame Relay, MPLS and OSPF into a modeled multi-site network. The combination is compared to the original OSPF network and analyzed for its throughput, packet loss, and delay. To meet the demand for efficient and resilient network, and to emphasize the advantages of MPLS-OSP as well as to avoid traffic shifting, specific network topology models are applied: full mesh with virtual circuit in core network connected to OSPF nodes for the rest. From analysis and comparison of network quality values obtained at, this combination attests to be reliable and robust network architecture without trading off its efficiency. The average throughput value of the combination networks was 18.47 bps, which is better compared to the OSPF. The average delay and packet loss from combination network also show better results, which are 59.90ms and 2.01% respectively. The results shows that the combination of Frame Relay, OSPF andMPLS generates better performance as well as significant improvement in network security.
