Abstract

Kejajar District is the largest carica producer in Wonosobo Regency. With the average yield obtained, it is considered not very profitable because farmers get low prices, even though prices at the consumer level are considered expensive. So the authors conducted research with the aim of analyzing the supply chain of carica and analyzing the added value of carica into sweets. The results of the value chain analysis show that there are 5 actors, namely farmers, village collectors, district collectors, outside retailers and processing industries. In improving the value chain, for the processing industry it can be improved through processing that prioritizes quality, service and marketing is more attractive. The results of the added value analysis show that processing carica into sweets provides benefits. In confectionery production, part of the margin received by the industry is distributed by the contribution of other inputs, namely 65 percent, processing profit by 41 percent and labor income by 16 percent. Abstract

Agriculture is a culture that was first developed by humans as a way for humans to maintain survival. This study aims to determine the Utilization of Egg Shells as Organic Fertilizer for Kangkung Darat in Idala Jaya Village. This type of research is a descriptive type of qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study are (1) Observation, (2) Interview. The data analysis technique in this study consists of three flow of activities that occur simultaneously, namely: (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation and (3) conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the results of the research and discussion obtained, there are several conclusions that can be drawn in this study as follows: (1) Good water spinach cultivation can get good productivity results (2) Egg shells have the potential to be used as organic fertilizer because they contain nutrients that are high in nutrients. plants need, such as calcium carbonate, potassium and phosphorus because these elements are very good for plant growth. Egg shells contain calcium carbonate and contain magnesium, sodium, potassium, zinc, manganese, iron and copper. (3) Utilization of egg shells on the growth of water spinach plants, has a very good impact or effect on the growth of land kale plants. Egg shells have the potential to be used as organic fertilizer because they contain nutrients needed by plants, such as calcium carbonate, potassium and phosphorus because these elements are very good for plant growth. Egg shells contain 97% calcium carbonate and an average of 3% phosphorus and 3% magnesium, sodium, potassium, zinc, manganese, iron and copper.The suggestion in the research is that farmers should be able to use egg shells as an alternative fertilizer for cultivating various plants, one of which is land kale. Keywords: Egg shell; Growth; land kangkung

Abstract

Eggplant (Solanum melongena L) is a type of vegetable plant belonging to the Solanaceae family. Eggplant plants produce fruit that is liked and in demand by many people. The area of eggplant cultivation is still small and the form of cultivation culture is still second ary and not yet intensive. This research was conducted to determine thein fluence of biotic and abiotic factors on egg plant growth and productivity. Observation of round eggplant was carried out by recording the growth parameters of round egg plant including plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of branches, number of flowers, number of fruits, fruit diameter, and fruit fresh weight. The abiotic environmental parameters observed included temperature, soil pH, rain fall, and weather conditions. For biotic factors include pests, diseases, and weeds. The results of the observed growth parameter data above show that plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, number of branches, number of flowers, number of fruits, fruit diameter, and fruit fresh weight experience dan increase in growth although not significantly. The most common type of pestis the snail with an averag eof 5.5. The most common types of disease per week were at the age of 7 weeks after planting with an average of 4.67. The results of observing the abiotic data above include temperature,  pH, rain intensity and light intensity, showing an average temperature of 26 ⁰C for soil pH of 6, rain intensity of 19.44% and light intensity of 80.56%. Observations on the growth of round eggplant show data results that continue to increase a midst environmental conditions, both weather and ecosystem, which wereless supportive. Keywords: abiotic, biotic, eggplant

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of Foot and Mouth Disease (PMK) on the birth and mortality rates of Aceh cattle calves in the Darul Hasanah subdistrict of Aceh Tenggara Regency. The study also aims to identify the factors that influence the spread of PMK in the region and to investigate strategies for its control. The research was conducted over a period of four months, from January to April 2023, in the Darul Hasanah subdistrict of Aceh Tenggara Regency. A purposive sampling method was used to select high-population villages with cases of PMK in Aceh cattle. The results of the study indicate that PMK has a significant impact on the birth and mortality rates of Aceh cattle calves in the Darul Hasanah subdistrict. Keywords: Bos indicus, Local, Management, Farmers, PMK

Abstract

Handeuleum (Graptophyllum pictum L. Griff) is a plant that is used as a medicinal plant with secondary metabolite compounds so that it can overcome several diseases. Exploration of endophytic bacteria in handeuleum plants needs to be done, because the content of secondary metabolites can be used to suppress the growth of plant pathogens.The purpose of this study was to obtain isolates of endophytic bacteria and find out their characteristics. This research was conducted with an exploratory method that began with the isolation of endophytic bacteria and several tests were carried out such as hemolysis activity, hypersensitivity, gram test, chitinolytic test, phosphate solvent activity, and antagonist test.The isolation results obtained a high population of endophytic bacterial isolates, namely in the roots, as many as 8 isolates that are pathogenic in mammals, hypersensitivity tests showed no isolates that were pathogenic in plants, gram tests obtained as many as 24 isolates that were gram-positive, as many as 5 isolates were able to lyse phosphate, no isolates could degrade chitin, as many as 2 isolates were antimicrobial against Rastolnia solanacearum indicated by the presence of clear zones and 26 isolates were able to suppress the growth of Fusarium oxysporum. Keywords: Antimicrobial, pathogenic, hemolysis, hypersensitive, chitinolytic

Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa chinensis L.) is a vegetable plant that is widely used in Indonesian dishes for consumption. One important factor that supports success in the production of pakcoy plants is the fertilization process. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best-combined dose of NPK and Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) compound fertilizer on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants. The research was carried out in February and March 2023 using polybags in Cigelam, Muktijaya Village, Setu District, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province. The research used an experimental method with an environmental design, namely a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 5 treatments, namely A (1.2 g NPK control), B (1.2 g NPK and 6 g MSG), C (1.2 g NPK and 9 g MSG), D (1.2 g NPK and 12 g MSG), and E (1.2 g NPK and 15 g MSG). Each treatment was repeated 5 times so that 25 experimental units were obtained. Observations of the data obtained were analyzed using the F test analysis with a level of 5% and further tested DMRT level of 5%. The experimental results showed that there was a significant effect on the height of the pakcoy plants at 28 HST and 35 HST, the number of leaves at 28 HST and 35 HST, and the leaf area of the pakcoy plants. The combination of NPK and MSG fertilizer in treatment B (1.2 g NPK and 6 g MSG) gave the highest results in observing plant height at 28 HST and 35 HST, number of leaves at 28 HSTand 35 HST, leaf area. Keywords: Monosodium Glutamate, NPK, Pakcoy

Abstract

Celery is a group of leafy vegetables that has many benefits. Efforts to cultivate urban plants are increasingly difficult. This is due to land conversion that is occurring on a large scale from agricultural land to residential and industrial areas. Therefore we need other alternatives for farming which can be done in narrow and limited land, one of which is by using a hydroponic cultivation system. The purpose of this study was to obtain the type of planting media and nutrient solution that gave the highest yield growth for celery (Apium graveolens L.) Amigo varieties in the hydroponic wick system. This research was conducted at the Taiwan Technichal Mission (TTM) Greenhouse located on Jl. Tanjungpura Circle, Karangpawitan, Kec. West Karawang., Karawang, West Java 41315. This research was conducted from March to April 2023. The research method used was an experimental method using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD), which consisted of 9 treatments repeated 3 times. The first factor is the planting medium consists of 3 levels, namely m1 (cocopeat), m2 (hydroton) and m3 (rockwool). The second factor consisted of 3 levels, namely n0 (AB mix), n1 (POC of rabbit urine) and n2 (NPK pearl + gandasil-d). The results showed that there was no interaction effect between the types of growing media and the types of nutrients. However, there is an independent influence between the type of growing media and the type of nutrition. In the treatment of rockwool growing media (m3) it was able to give the highest yield of plant height, number of leaves and leaf area. In the treatment of the type of nutrition AB mix (n0) gave the highest results on leaf area, fresh weight per plot and yield of fresh weight per plant. Keywords: growing media, celery, nutrition

Abstract

Hydroponic system is a system of agricultural cultivation using water containing nutrients for plant growth, hydroponics can be done on a narrow land or in the yard. This study aims to obtain the type of planting media and the type of AB Mix dosage that gives the highest results on the growth and yield of Curly Mustard (Brassica juncea l.) Samhong King variety in the hydroponic wick system. This experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of Taiwan Technical Mission at Tanjungpura Ring Road, Karangpawitan, West Karawang District, Karawang Regency, West Java Province, from February to April 2023.The research method used was experimental method using factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK). There are 2 factors consisting of 16 treatments. The first factor is the type of planting media consisting of 4 levels, namely M0 (Rockwool), M1 (Cocofiber), M2 (Sawdust) and M3 (Husk Charcoal). The second factor is the type of AB Mix dosage which consists of 4 levels, namely D0 (1000 ppm), D1 (1100 ppm), D2 (1200 ppm) and D3 (1300 ppm). Each experiment was repeated 3 times so that a total of 48 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that there was an interaction effect between the type of planting media and the type of AB Mix dosage on the number of leaves at the age of 28 hst on curly mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) Samhong King variety in the hydroponic wick system. At the level of planting media m1 cocofiber, the optimal type of fertilizer is a dose of AB Mix d3 1300 ppm with a fresh weight of 153.59 g. It gives the highest yield on planting media m1 cocofiber with a yield of 186.87 g. The highest yield is at the level of planting media m1 cocofiber.

Abstract

Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a type of vegetable plant that is widely planted in several regions in Indonesia which is used as a cooking spice and has ingredients that are beneficial to health. Fulfillment of nutrient needs for growth and yield in plants can be done by fertilization. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a combination of doses of vermicompost and urea fertilizer on the growth and yield of the Bima brebes variety of shallot (Allilum ascalonicum L.). The research was carried out in Karangmangu Village, Kec.Kramatmulya, Kab. Kuningan, West Java. The experiment was carried out in March 2023 – May 2023. The study used a Single Factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 10 treatments repeated 3 times, consisting of 10 treatments namely A (20 tonnes/ha of cow manure+400 kg/ha of urea +200 kg/ha phonska), B (10 tonnes/ha vermicompost+200 kg/ha urea), C (10 tonnes/ha vermicompost+300 kg/ha urea), D (10 tonnes/ha vermicompost+400 kg/ ha urea), E (15 tonnes/ha vermicompost+200 kg/ha urea), F (15 tonnes/ha vermicompost+300 kg/ha urea), G (15 tonnes/ha vermicompost+400 kg/ha urea), H (20 tonnes/ha vermicompost+200 kg/ha urea), I (20 tonnes/ha vermicompost+300 kg/ha urea), J (20 tonnes/ha vermicompost+400 kg/ha urea). The results showed that there was a significant effect of the combination doses of vermicompost and urea fertilizer on the growth and yield of the shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) variety Bima brebes on plant height, number of leaves, tuber wet weight, tuber diameter, and tuber dry weight. Treatment J (20 tonnes/ha vermicompost+400 kg/ha urea) gave the highest yield on tuber dry weight of 38.33 g.

Abstract

Mushrooms are one of the agricultural commodities that have good prospects for development and cultivation. The purpose of this study is to compare the characteristics of the mangrove fungus (Volvariella volvaceae) in the straw growing medium of conventional harvesting methods and Combine Harvester. The research was conducted at the Merang mushroom barn in Pasir Buah Hamlet, Pasimulya Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency. In March–April 2023. The research method used the Single-factor Randomized Design (RAK) with 3 repeats. There are 12 treatments: A (Gebot 100%), B (Combine 100%), C (Trasher 100%), D (Gebot 50%+Combine 50%), E (Gebot 50%+Trasher 50%), F (Combine 50%+Trasher 50%), G (Gebot 75%+Jobotine 75%), F (Combine 50%+Tras 50%), G (Gebot 75%+25%), G (G) and 75%). The effect of treatment is analyzed by variety analysis and if the F test is 5% significant, then to find out which treatment is best to proceed with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at 5%. The research results show that there is no real effect of some straw media using machines on Unsika's G4 Faperta isolates. The treatment of Gebot 75% + Combine 25% gave the highest yield on a single-heel conversion mushroom weight of 182.47 kg, and the average harvest intensity of a single growing season for 14.67 days. The 50% + 50% Gebot treatment gave the best value at the time of pinhead appearance of 6.0 days and a fruit body weight of 12.71g. The Gebot 75% + Combine 25% treatment gave the best results at 6.18cm in length and 4.99cm in fruit body diameter while the Gebot 75% + Trasher 25% treatment gave the best value at a per tray weight of 54.99g. Keywords:G4 Faperta Isolate, Straw Mushroom, Straw Harvesting Method
