Abstract

This research to determine the effect of the tensile load on the carburizing process and the heating temperature lower than the normal carburizing temperature on the hardness of carbon steel with a percentage of 80% buffalo bone charcoal and 20% BaCO3, 20 mesh grain size, 4 hours holding time, and slow cooling with a tensile load of 1/4σp 1/2σp 3/4σp, and σp (proportional stress). The heating temperatures below normal carburizing temperatures, namely 6000C, 6500C, 7000C, and 7500C while being pulled by 1/4σp, 1/2σp, 3/4σp, and σp. After reaching the heating temperature, the material is held in the furnace for 4 hours and cooled slowly. After the material is cold, mechanical testing is carried out with Vickers microhardness. Hardness value at a temperature of 6000C is 103.93 HRB, at a temperature of 6500C is 104.33 HRB, at a temperature of 7000C is 104.80 HRB, and at a temperature of 7500C is 106.60 HRB, while the process of pack carburizing without tensile at a heating temperature of 8000C is 105.2 HRB. This proves that the application of loads at lower heating temperatures during the heating process can exceed the hardness value without tensile loads at higher temperatures of 8000 C.

Abstract

The manufacture of Al/SiC alloy matrix composites has been widely carried out by researchers through powder metallurgy techniques. Bushings are slit cylindrical type bearings that serve to support the shaft. Bushings can be made by powder metallurgy, to get the perfect compaction process, compaction can be done by high temperature or Hot Pressing. A hot press will make the powder softer/plastic, making it easier during the perfect compaction process. For this reason, heating must be controlled in order to obtain a homogeneous product. Al/SiC metal matrix composites are alloyed materials of different types of materials, as matrices in this case are aluminum and as reinforcement are SiC particles (ceramics) made by powder metallurgy techniques. In this study, the Al/SiC composite composed of 70% Al - 30% SiC and Hot Pressing temperature variations of 100, 150 and 200°C with a pressure of 5000 kg and a holding time of 10 minutes. In the sintering process, the temperature used is 450, 500 and 550°C with a holding time of 2 hours. The results of this study show, in hardness testing it is known that the value of bushing hardness increases as the temperature of Hot Pressing increases.

Abstract

A real-time monitoring mechanism for three-phase electrical power distribution panels is essentially needed to ensure that the power is evenly distributed across all phases, so that the efficiency of energy usage could be maintained. This paper presents monitoring and data acquisition system for three-phase balance distribution. The system ensures balanced distribution of electrical power in order to enhance the efficiency and reliability of power systems. It leverages advanced technologies to collect, analyze, and report data, providing valuable insights into the performance of the power distribution network. Data acquisition is established by using sensor PZEM004T to measure the electricity parameters which is integrated with Arduino microcontroller. In addition, real-time monitoring system is visualized through dashboard data management for more informative data acquisition and analytic purposes. The performance is evaluated by testing the instrument and application at a distribution panel within a span of five days to monitor electrical parameters. The results show that real-time monitoring system for three phase balance works perfectly to provide actual data and phase balance condition. The phase imbalance values are higher during the peak working hours where the loads are dynamics and extensively used.

Abstract

Technological advances in the field of building construction have developed very rapidly, so we need a construction technology that can reduce exploitation of nature. Utilization of stone ash is one of the new material alternatives in concrete mixtures with the addition of the bestmittel additive to accelerate drying in concrete. The purpose of this study is to determine the aggregate characteristics, specific gravity and compressive strength of concrete. The method used is laboratory experimental research with variations in stone ash samples of 5%, 10% and 15% to the weight of sand with the addition of 0.6% bestmittell additive to the weight of cement. The results showed that stone ash and bestmittell additives affect the characteristics of the concrete. The value of specific gravity increases with increasing percentage of stone ash, namely 1898.77 kg/m3 in normal concrete, 1911.35 kg/m3 of 5% stone ash concrete, 1922.34 kg/m3 of 10% stone ash concrete and 1927.06 kg/m3 m3 on 10% stone ash concrete. The compressive strength value of characteristic for the compositions AB 5%, AB 10% and AB 15% are 10.08 Mpa, 10.35 Mpa and 10.88 Mpa respectively, an increase compared to normal AB 0% concrete, namely 9.03 Mpa at 28 days.

Abstract

This paper presents comprehensive lists of natural frequencies for vibration of thin isotropic annular plates with outer and inner edges elastically constrained by translational and rotational springs. A method is extended from a previously presented Ritz approach to include effects of the springs. In numerical examples, sixteen models are considered to cover all general cases of locating translational and/or rotational springs on outer and/or inner edges in addition to classical boundary conditions of free and simple supported edges. After convergence study and comparison test in specific cases are made to validate solution accuracy, frequency parameters of the sixteen models are summarized and frequency variations with increasing spring stiffness are illustrated.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to analyze drug supply control at Pharmacy A using the Always Better Control (ABC) method to determine drug procurement priorities based on usage and cost guidelines, making it easier to share data regarding relevant matters and budgets for decision-making and separate items that are small in quantity but have great value. Economic order quantity (EOQ) was used to estimate the inventory that will be used, the existence of safety stock, and the time to reorder inventory. Data on drug supplies, drug unit prices, and drug use from January to December 2021 were collected and analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Medicines are classified into three groups based on their investment value. The results showed that group A had the highest investment value (80%) with 41 types of drugs, group B had a medium investment value (15%) with 24 types of drugs, and group C had the lowest investment value (5%) with 19 types of drugs. Group A's EOQ value varies from 9 item to 3170 items. This research recommends that Pharmacy A use the ABC and EOQ methods in managing drug supplies to make it more efficient, effective, and economical. Abstract

The building industry used for meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) is one of the industries that has high economic attractiveness for investors. Regulations and user requests for new buildings must meet environmentally friendly building standards. The GREENSHIP green building certification system is issued by the Green Building Council Indonesia. To obtain a platinum rating, a minimum total of 56 points requires additional investment costs but will result in operational cost savings. The purpose of this paper is to find out what factors influence the optimization of construction costs through value engineering to achieve a green building rating tool with optimum costs in MICE green building design. The findings show that energy is the most influential factor in obtaining platinum rating certification, so it requires value engineering to achieve optimal investment costs. The novelty of this research is that the selection of materials/machines and work methods for environmentally friendly concepts that save energy needs to be done from the start of design to achieve a payback period for the additional cost that can be returned in 3 years and 2 months. that is feasible for new investments, which can be a commitment for company owners to build MICE green buildings. Abstract

The implementation of the export ban of the raw mineral commodities is one of the implications brought by the Mining Law Number 3 of the year 2020. The high contribution of the raw mining commodities towards the economy of Indonesia plays dual sides of a coin. First, it is seemingly more beneficial to increase the value of the raw commodities by processing and refining them first domestically. Then, as the raw commodities contribute largely, banning the export surely will bring a change towards the economy. Change in government’s regime initiate the review of the export ban. This research utilizes Herfindahl Hirschman Index and Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) to investigate how export ban can affect the economy growth. In analyzing the impact of the export ban, the very basic foundation is examining the export potential of the mining commodities. Analyzing the ores, metals, and minerals as export commodities, the ores and minerals seemingly are the prominent export commodities. Proved by the RCA index value, the government of Indonesia has a strong foundation to release the export ban. Additionally, the HH Index of market concentration indicates that the export trade of Indonesia is relatively independent towards its trading partner. Therefore, as the government of Indonesia sets to implement the export ban policy, this change in trade barriers is unlikely will disrupt the trade relations between Indonesia and its trading partners.

Abstract

The concept of viral stealth marketing has been actively used by marketers to make products well received in society. Stealth marketing is one of the digital marketing strategies that advertises a product or service to someone, without them realizing that they are becoming a marketing object. Stealth Marketing is more commonly found on social media platforms today such as Facebook or Instagram compared to traditional advertising media such as newspaper, TV and radio broadcasts. Influencer as a service provider is becoming more general in this method of marketing. Cosmetic products are products that are often marketed with the viral stealth marketing method. Recommendations of cosmetic products from people we know will be easier to accept. Data collection was carried out by conducting a survey on the age group of Gen Z. Data processing using paired t-test and F-test. The results of the paired t-test found that there was a difference in the buying interest of consumers who received product promotion treatment (B1) with the group of consumers who received agent recognition treatment (B2) with a significance value of 0.000. Meanwhile, the results of the F-test show that the presence of agent recognition treatment affects consumers' buying interest in indicators of seeking information, trying products, knowing more, and the desire to own products. This result indicates a change in the buying interest of consumers to cosmetic products when they are aware of the use of viral stealth marketing promotion methods.

Abstract

Comprehensive and accurate numerical results are presented for natural frequencies of thin isotropic, simply supported rectangular plates additionally constrained by rotational elastic springs on the edges. For complete coverage of combination, the number of all the combinations in boundary conditions of simply supported, rotationally constrained and clamped is calculated by Polya counting theory, and all sets of frequency parameters are tabulated for the lowest five modes. The Ritz method, along with displacements assumed in special polynomial form with boundary index, is used to include the strain energy stored in the rotational springs. Convergence and comparison studies are made to demonstrate accuracy of tabulated results, and the frequency parameters are listed for the fifteen sets of boundary conditions and various spring stiffness of the square plates. Some results are also presented for rectangular plates.
