Abstract

The implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system has become an important solution in raw material management in manufacturing companies, including PT IMR Arc Steel. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of ERP systems using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) method in improving the efficiency of raw material management in the production process. This method helps identify key issues, such as raw material quality mismatches and errors in stock recording, which impact the smooth production process. Through the implementation of the DMAIC stage, it was found that the ERP system is able to provide significant improvements in terms of coordination between departments, improve the quality of raw material management, and reduce errors in production. The improvement steps implemented in the improvement stage, such as improving quality checks and optimizing communication, have succeeded in improving the company's performance. Nevertheless, some challenges such as machine maintenance and storage capacity still require further attention. This study concludes that the implementation of the ERP system with the DMAIC method has been effective in increasing the efficiency of the production process at PT IMR Arc Steel, although continuous evaluation and improvement are needed for more optimal results.

Abstract

Chain Grate Boiler is a vital production engine driver in a factory environment, steam boilers are highly expected for their performance and reliability. Based on history in 2018-2021 boilers in the power plant division experienced an increase in damage or breakdown from the previous year as much as 16 times. Components in chain grate boilers such as chain grate, electric motors, slage conveyors and steam pipelines on the preheater and superheater lines, the main problem of this research is how to reduce the breakdown of Chain Grate Boiler equipment, how to repair and maintain it by analyzing using the FMEA and FTA methods that aims to determine the highest damage value or Risk Priority Number. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the highest value of damage to the chain grate boiler equipment was in the chain grate part which produced an RPN value of 486 points which was the highest value of the other equipment analyzed. Furthermore, to find out the root of the problem using the FTA method where four problems were found, namely: understanding of each operator is different, fuel scarcity, purchasing of spare parts indented, and regulation of budget constraints. From these results the researchers got suggestions for improvements using 5W + 1H, namely by evaluating and retraining boiler operators, using different fuels such as household waste, purchasing spare parts with good quality that does not take long and focusing the purchase budget for chain grate boiler equipment.

Abstract

Tamiya assembly standard time measurement research was conducted at the Ergonomics Laboratory of Serang Raya University. The main objective of this study is to determine the standard time required in each work element, and identify inefficient activities so that the assembly process can be optimized. Data collection is done through direct observation by measuring the time of each work element of the Tamiya car assembly directly. The research method uses the Stopwatch Time Study method to analyze work time in the Tamiya car assembly process based on a 95% confidence level and a 5% accuracy level. In assembling Tamiya, there are 5 work elements with standard time in the work element of installing wheels and gears, (44.96 seconds), installing tires and connecting gears, (22.83 seconds), installing switches, (22.8 seconds), installing dinamos, (27.75 seconds), installing batteries and bodies, (23.31 seconds). So that the measurement of the standard time for assembling Tamiya at the Ergonomics Laboratory of the University of Serang Raya in the Work Design Analysis practicum is 151.13 seconds. The results of the study are expected to be a reference in the implementation of Work Design Analysis practicum activities.

Abstract

PT. Anugrah Gas Utama is a company that cooperates with Pertamina or commonly called the LPG Bulk Filling and Transportation Station (SPPBE) which is engaged in oil and gas or oil and gas which produces 3 kg of gas.  In the implementation of production, PT. Anugrah Gas Utama requires raw material inventory control from time to time to ensure a smooth production process, with the raw material control system implemented in the company, the inventory costs can be reduced as little as possible. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal number of orders for raw materials and to minimize total inventory costs. Based on the research results obtained by using the Period Order Quantity (POQ) and Just In Time (JIT) methods, it can be seen that the lowest total cost is by using JIT which is Rp.31,674,517 while using the POQ method is Rp.212,331. 595. Because the JIT method has a lower total cost than the POQ method, the Just In Time (JIT) method can be used by companies. But the company must reduce its inventory and build strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

Abstract

CV Yanto Konveksi is a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) providing garment manufacturing services in Tangerang Regency, marketing its products independently through conventional methods. Its marketing activities primarily rely on printed media (banners/flyers) and verbal promotion. Furthermore, the ordering process is still carried out in a conventional manner, either by visiting the business location or placing orders via telephone. This approach has proven less effective in operating the business and has resulted in limited market exposure. In line with the shift in consumer behaviour towards the use of technology, it is essential for the business to adopt an adaptive approach to ensure its continuity and growth. Based on this need, designing a user interface for an e-commerce website can facilitate potential customers in placing orders, support the company’s marketing efforts, and provide convenience to consumers when ordering products. This study employs the User-Centered Design method, in which the design is developed based on the buyers’ needs. The resulting design was evaluated using the System Usability Scale method with 50 respondents, achieving a score of 85.25 with a “Best Imaginable” rating, indicating that the website interface is of excellent quality and successfully meets user needs.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Sartika Barka Berlimpah which is one of the centers for typical Cilegon souvenirs and one type of product that is prepared with processed melinjo, namely ceplis. In the original ceplis production process at this company, there are often product defects with the types of defects, namely texture, color and oiliness. In the production process, this company has not implemented six sigma, so there is no measurement of the sigma level. If you continue to ignore it, it will have a detrimental impact on the company, such as increasing operational costs and decreasing profits. This research aims to improve the quality of ceplis products so that losses from production can be reduced, as well as to determine the characteristics of product defects that occur. This research uses the six sigma method with a kaizen approach. The results of this research are that the average Defect Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) value in the July- December 2023 period is 17245.76 with a sigma value of 3.61 which is in the industry average category. The highest defects in ceplis products are defects in texture and color. Based on the Five M-Checklist analysis, to overcome the quality of ceplis products, this can be done by providing a break of 5-10 minutes for rest at 9.30 and 15.30, more thorough and stringent inspections for the quality of melinjo seeds, providing a stainless-steel oil container next to the fryer, and carry out routine cleaning of the melinjo seed storage area every week.
