Abstract

The success of a cooperative in achieving its goals and maintaining organisational sustainability largely depends on its members. One of the key factors influencing this success is the level of trust, emotional attachment, and the members' ability to face challenges. This study aims to examine and analyse the role of trust and emotional attachment on the Adversity Quotient of cooperative members, with procedural justice perception as a mediating variable. This study employs a quantitative research approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to cooperative members. The population and sample of the study consist of all 170 active members of the cooperative. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with the assistance of the SmartPLS software. The results indicate that trust and emotional attachment have a positive and significant effect on the Adversity Quotient of cooperative members, and procedural justice perception significantly mediates the relationship between trust, emotional attachment, and Adversity Quotient.

Abstract

This study examines socio-economic and spatial transformations resulting from the development of Curug Town Square in Tangerang Regency, Indonesia. Previously characterized by informal settlements, fragmented circulation, and small-scale household enterprises, the area experienced significant change following the establishment of the square as a multifunctional public space. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through field observations, interviews, and document analysis to understand community adaptation to new spatial and economic conditions. The findings indicate that the town square revitalized local commercial activities, encouraged micro-entrepreneurship, and strengthened social interaction by functioning as a center for cultural and daily community activities. Spatially, redevelopment improved accessibility, safety, and urban identity by introducing more organized spatial arrangements. However, the transformation also generated uneven impacts, including displacement pressures on long-term traders, rising land values indicating early gentrification, and shifts in traditional social dynamics. The study highlights the importance of inclusive planning to ensure equitable urban transformation in semi-urban contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), bank size, and Cost to Income Ratio (CIR) on the profitability of conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020–2024. Profitability is measured using Return on Equity (ROE). This study uses secondary data obtained from the annual reports of 41 conventional banks selected through purposive sampling. The analysis method used is panel data regression with the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) approach using E-Views. The results show that bank size has a positive effect on ROE, while NPL and CIR have a negative effect on ROE. Meanwhile, CAR has no significant effect on bank profitability. These findings indicate that operational efficiency and control of non-performing loans are key factors in improving bank profitability. This study has implications for bank management to improve cost efficiency, maintain credit quality, and optimize asset utilization in order to improve profitability performance

Abstract

The growing turnover of healthcare staff is a major concern for healthcare organizations because it affects employment stability and service quality.  Factors such as career stagnation and chronic fatigue are intricately linked to turnover intention; however, cynicism may influence this relationship by either reinforcing or diminishing it.  This research seeks to assess the relationship between career plateau and burnout, with cynicism as a mediating variable, on turnover intention among healthcare workers in East Java.  This research employed a quantitative methodology utilizing an explanatory design.  The research sample included 122 respondents who were chosen by purposive sampling. The research instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire, which was analysed using SmartPLS 3.  The findings of the research indicated that career stagnation significantly influenced turnover intention, alongside chronic fatigue.  Furthermore, cynicism exhibited a partial correlation with both career stagnation and burnout.  This indicates that healthcare organisations ought to focus on career development and burnout prevention to mitigate employee turnover rates.

Abstract

The purpose of this study focuses on analyzing the influence of e-wallet usage, per capita income, and interest rates on the purchasing power of Indonesians in the 2020–2024 period from an Islamic Economics perspective. This finding uses a quantitative approach based on time series data obtained from official publications of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank Indonesia. The multiple linear regression method was used in this analysis and processed using E-Views 13 software. The research findings indicate that e-wallet usage has no significant influence on purchasing power, while per capita income has a positive and significant influence, while interest rates are known to have no significant effect on purchasing power. Thus, this finding confirms that income is the main determinant of people's purchasing power. In line with these findings, increasing purchasing power needs to be directed not only at quantitative aspects, but also at the quality of consumption behavior. From an Islamic Economics perspective, consumption must be carried out proportionally, avoiding israf, and ensuring that income and transactions are carried out in accordance with sharia principles.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of content marketing and e-commerce adoption on the marketing performance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with digital customer engagement as a mediating variable, using a PLS-SEM approach. Data were collected through a survey of 160 MSME actors in Blitar and analyzed using SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that content marketing and e-commerce adoption have a positive and significant effect on digital customer engagement; however, neither variable has a direct effect on marketing performance. Digital customer engagement is found to have a strong influence on marketing performance and to fully mediate the relationship between content marketing, e-commerce adoption, and marketing performance. These findings highlight that the success of digital marketing strategies among MSMEs in the digital era depends largely on the ability of business actors to build and sustain customer engagement, rather than merely adopting digital content or e-commerce platforms to enhance competitiveness.

Abstract

This study explores how urban cooperatives contribute to people-centered economic development through the framework of Local Economic Development (LED). Using a qualitative approach within a post-positivist paradigm, it examines the case of Koperasi Merah Putih in Jakarta. The findings indicate that cooperative performance is shaped by governance, member participation, institutional backing, and local socio-economic conditions. Strong governance and active member engagement are linked to greater social equity and economic gains. However, bureaucratic barriers and limited policy coherence remain key challenges. The study highlights the need for context-specific strategies and collaborative governance to improve cooperative outcomes. It contributes to the discourse on cooperative-driven development by showing how participatory approaches can foster inclusive growth. Policy recommendations include targeted support, improved stakeholder coordination, and adaptive governance to strengthen urban cooperatives.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of reference groups on telemedicine purchase intention among BPJS Kesehatan participants in Indonesia, with BPJS service experience as a moderating variable. Data from 105 respondents were analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS 4.0, with sample adequacy confirmed through G*Power analysis (power = 0.81). Results show that value-expressive influence significantly and positively affects telemedicine purchase intention, while informational and utilitarian influences show no significant direct effects. Notably, BPJS service experience significantly and negatively moderates the relationship between value-expressive influence and purchase intention, indicating that greater service dissatisfaction weakens identity-based social motivations rather than strengthening them. This finding extends the Push-Pull-Mooring framework by revealing that severe institutional dissatisfaction suppresses rather than amplifies value-expressive influence. The study highlights the contextual role of public healthcare experience in digital health adoption decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Operating Expenses to Operating Income ratio (BOPO), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on non-performing loans (NPL) in conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from annual financial statements. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 33 banks observed over five years (165 observations). Multiple linear regression analysis was applied using IBM SPSS software. The findings indicate that BOPO and LDR have a positive and significant effect on NPL. Meanwhile, CAR has a negative but insignificant effect on NPL. In contrast, GCG has a negative and significant effect on NPL. This study is expected to provide insights for banking management to improve operational efficiency, strengthen credit risk management, and enhance corporate governance practices in order to reduce bad credit risk.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly altered Indonesia’s regional economic structure, with varying impacts across provinces. This study analyzes changes in the contribution of economic sectors to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Indonesian provinces from 2020 to 2024, focusing on sectors directly affected by the pandemic. The research employs a content analysis approach using sectoral GRDP data from the Central Statistics Agency and relevant literature. The findings indicate shifts in sectoral dominance, including the rapid expansion of digitalization across regions, while traditional sectors such as tourism experience slower recovery. Technology-based and natural resource–based sectors demonstrate greater resilience to pandemic-related disruptions. These results highlight the importance of adaptive economic policies in supporting structural transformation at the regional level. The study provides insights for designing more inclusive and sustainable Post-COVID-19 recovery strategies, particularly by strengthening resilient sectors and facilitating the transition of vulnerable sectors within Indonesia’s evolving regional economic landscape.
