Abstract

Shrimp is one of the aquaculture products that contributes greatly to the country's foreign exchange. Vaname shrimp can be used as processed products, one of which is frozen raw peeled shrimp products. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of the Peeled Tail On (PTO) frozen raw peeled shrimp processing process consisting of processing process flows, quality testing, application of temperature, yield, labor productivity, application of basic feasibility, and waste management. Primary data collection is carried out by participating in the production process, observation and conducting interviews with employees. While secondary data is obtained from company archives/documentation. The processing of PTO vaname shrimp goes through 23 stages of the process starting from receiving raw materials to loading. The results of organoleptic quality tests of raw materials and sensory tests of the final product show values between 8-9. Microbiological quality tests on raw materials and products have met the standards. Chemical quality tests on raw materials have met the specified standards. The application of temperature during the process has met the processing temperature standards in the company. The yield and productivity of the workforce have met the company's standards. Sanitation and hygiene have been implemented well, as evidenced by the certificates of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and feasibility of processing. Solid waste in the form of head and skin waste is processed into flour. The resulting liquid waste is treated at the WWTP (Wastewater Treatment Plant).

Abstract

Shrimp is one of the leading commodities with high economic value and generates foreign exchange in local and international markets. The production of shrimp farming industry in ponds fluctuates, causing doubts for investors and practitioners to develop shrimp farming in ponds. The weakness is that there is no available data on the evaluation of aquaculture performance as a good shrimp farming planning material. The purpose of this study was to assess the performance of shrimp farming industry in intensive pond system. The research was conducted from September 2023 to February 2024. The research location was Rhee Royal Vannamei Sumbawa West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This research is applied research with data collection methods are observation and quantitative.  Data processing using Microsoft excel and SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science). The results showed that the land is suitable for vaname shrimp farming, performance analysis showed Average daily growth (ADG) 0.4 gr/day, Average body weight (ABW) 13.86+5.59 g/head, Survival Rate (SR) 55+25%, Food Conversation Ratio (FCR) 1-1.5, and Productivity 11+5 tonnes/ha. The relationship between stocking density and shrimp productivity was not significant. Five cycles of production fluctuate, so it is not possible to determine predictions for the coming year. The prospect of shrimp farming industry in ponds is good enough to improve the economy.

Abstract

One of the main duties of the harbor master is to issue sailing approvals to ensure order and security of the ship and crew when sailing at sea. The sailing approval letter is a state document issued to every fishing vessel that will sail by the harbormaster. The uncertainty of time, schedule and so on in processing the issuance of the sailing approval letter indicates the importance of having a clear flow and procedure in issuing the sailing approval letter. This research aims to find out the procedures for issuing a sailing approval letter. The research was carried out in May - June 2023. This research was carried out at the Mayangan Coastal Fishing Port (CFP). Data collection was carried out using the observation method and analyzed using a qualitative approach. The procedure for issuing a sailing approval letter at CFP Mayangan is quite good. However, there is still a need for improvement and enhancement in the issuance of sailing approval letter in Mayangan. These include improvements to the application system in order to expedite the application process, socialization to fishermen or sailing approval letter applicant agents regarding online applications, time management by the syahbandar to make the sailing approval letter issuance faster and more effective and efficient.
