Abstract

Landslides are one of the geotechnical problems that often occur in slopes and soft soil areas, especially on roads with peat soil conditions and high traffic volumes, such as the Simpang Niam–Lubuk Kambing STA 17+070 National Road. Changes in the 2025 budget efficiency policy have resulted in the landslide mitigation method, which was originally planned to use Borepile retaining walls (DPT), being changed to a Geotextile method, thus requiring a comparative study of the cost aspects. This study aims to analyze and compare the cost effectiveness of the bored pile retaining wall and Geotextile methods at the location. The research methods include collecting technical field data, calculating the volume of work, analyzing the unit price of work (AHSP), and preparing a Budget Plan (RAB) for each alternative. The analysis results show that the total cost of work using the DPT Borepile method is IDR 7,808,047,000, while the Geotextile method is IDR 7,151,225,000. There is a cost difference of IDR 656,822,000 or about 8.4% more economical in the Geotextile method. Based on these results, the Geotextile method is considered more economically efficient and contributes to the optimization of budget utilization in landslide management projects on peatlands.

Abstract

The increasing intensity of national road management activities in Jambi Province poses potential impacts on environmental quality in the surrounding areas. This study aims to conduct integrated multi-parameter environmental monitoring during the construction phase of the Bangko – Sungai Manau – Batas Kerinci – Sanggaran Agung Road Preservation Project in Jambi Province. A quantitative descriptive method was employed, with sampling conducted at three representative locations: the Contractor Basecamp/AMP (Location 1), Batang Merangin River at STA 0+250 (Location 2), and STA 35+025 (Location 3). Testing parameters included surface water quality (18 physical and chemical parameters), ambient air quality (5 parameters), odor (2 parameters), noise, and vibration. All assessments were conducted in accordance with Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021, Minister of Environment Decree No. 50 of 1996, and Minister of Environment Decree No. 49 of 1996. The results indicated that nearly all parameters remained below the prescribed quality standards. However, the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) value at Location 2 was recorded at 28.48 mg/L, exceeding the Class II standard of 25 mg/L, suggesting an influence of construction runoff on the water quality of Batang Merangin River. The highest values for air quality, noise, and vibration parameters were consistently found at Location 1, attributed to the operation of heavy mechanical equipment. Compared to similar studies on urban road construction and toll road projects, this study demonstrates lower environmental impacts; however, consistent environmental management in accordance with applicable regulations remains necessary.

Abstract

The development of infrastructure in Indonesia requires high-rise buildings to be earthquake resistant to ensure the safety and comfort of users. This study aims to examine the upper structure of the Lecture Building which includes the design of reinforced concrete beams, columns and slabs. The analysis was conducted with the guidelines of SNI 1727:2020 for loading, SNI 1726:2019 for earthquake resistance, and SNI 2847:2019 for structural concrete requirements. The research method uses 3D modeling through ETABS 2018 software to calculate internal forces and inter-story drifts. The results of the analysis show that the combined variance mass participation reaches 99%, there are horizontal and vertical irregularities that have been accommodated with the seismic design category D.
