Abstract

Midwives provide continuous and plenary midwifery services, focusing on aspects of prevention, promotion based on partnerships and community empowerment together with other health workers to always be ready to serve. Pregnant women need holistic care to meet basic needs, not only biological needs with the 10T examination but also psychological, social, cultural and spiritual examinations with a holistic examination covering the mother's physical, psychological, social and even spiritual condition. . The instrument in this study was a questionnaire consisting of questionnaires on social and economic factors as well as measurements of general maternal data such as weight, height and other routine measurements for pregnant women. After a statistical test was carried out using the Spearman rank correlation, it was found that the p-value was -0.073 with a significant level of 0.566, which means that the variable physical status of pregnant women seen from BMI and socio-economic status of the mother has a fairly strong but not significant relationship in the opposite direction. Not only social and economic factors that affect the welfare of pregnant women. Routine holistic care is needed for pregnant women to monitor quality pregnancies.

Abstract

Contraception serves as a proactive measure to prevent pregnancy. WHO data reveals a global trend of increased use of contraceptive, particularly in Asia and Latin America, while Sub-Saharan Africa lags behind. Modern contraceptive adoption has experienced a modest rise, from 54% in 1990 to 57.4% in 2014. This increase is more pronounced in Africa, with figures climbing from 23.6% to 27.6%, in Asia from 60.9% to 61.6%, and Latin America and the Caribbean witnessing a slight ascent from 66.7% to 67.0% (WHO, 2020). This study explored the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and spousal support in relation to the use of Intrauterine Contraceptive Devices (IUCDs). This observational study was performed using an analytical casecontrolapproach, involving 736 active contraceptive users in 2023 at the Pengandonan Community Health Center as the population. Non-probability consecutive sampling was performed to select 56 respondents. Chi-square statistical test was performed to analyze the data, which results showed the presence of a significant relationship between knowledge (p-value = 0.007), attitude (0.003), and husband's support (p-value = 0.000) on the use of IntrauterineContraceptive Device (IUCD). These findings serve as the guidelines for midwives developing and improving the management strategies to promote contraceptive IUCDs use.

Abstract

Age less than five years is an important period in the growth and development of a child which influences and determines the child's future development. Early stimulation is stimulation that is carried out in the womb and is carried out every day to stimulate the entire sensory system of hearing, sight, touch, smell and taste. This is an activity that aims to stimulate the basic abilities of children aged 0-6 years so that they can grow and develop optimally. Lack of stimulation can result in abnormalities in a child's growth and development, and can even cause permanent problems. Increasing the quality of under-five children will be achieved by implementing SDIDTK which is well coordinated and comprehensive. Achieving SDIDTK activities for toddlers is the role of medical personnel. Midwives are the ones who determine and are responsible for achieving SDIDTK success in toddlers. The aim of this research is to analyze factors in implementing SDIDTK in the Karanganyar Health Center Work Area. This research uses a quantitative approach method with a cross sectional design using the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression test. Knowledge is the most dominant factor influencing the implementation of SDIDTK in the Karanganyar Health Center Work Area.

Abstract

Breast milk (ASI) is the best food that babies need in the first 6 months of life. WHO data (2016) shows that coverage of exclusive breastfeeding for babies aged 0-6 months worldwide is 39, while the target for exclusive breastfeeding is 50%. The inhibiting factor in breastfeeding is the production itself, especially in post-SC mothers. One effort that can be made to increase breast milk production is the SPEOS method. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of applying the Endorphine, Oxytocin and Suggestive Massage Stimulation (SPEOS) method on breast milk production in post-cesarean section mothers. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a post-test only control group design. The number of samples used in this research was 30 respondents consisting of 15 control groups and 15 intervention groups. The results of the study showed that the average breast milk production in SC mothers who were given the SPEOS method was 37.67 ml higher than in post-SC mothers who were not given the SPEOS method, namely only 19.44 ml. Statistical tests showed that there was an effect of applying the Endorphin, Oxytocin, Suggestive Massage Stimulation (SPEOS) method on breast milk production (p-value=0.000). It is hoped that the SPEOS method can be used as an alternative option in managing increasing breast milk production, because the SPEOS method has been proven to be effective in increasing breast milk production.

Abstract

Back pain is pain in the lumbosacral region and back pain is caused by muscle strain on the nerve roots that is usually felt as pain or stiffness in the back. There are several ways to deal with back pain, one of which is using non-pharmacological methods such as acupuncture techniques, back massage, and prenatal yoga. Prenatal yoga is a sport that pregnant women can do to minimize the discomfort that is often felt during pregnancy will be reduced and body movements will feel comfortable. The initial survey obtained at TPMB Theresia Anggriani in 2023, The study involved 50 pregnant women. Researchers watched 28 pregnant women in their second and third trimesters togather information. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between prenatal yoga and back pain in pregnant women from TPMB Theresia Anggriani. The research method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive research type, namely cross sectional analysis involving the participation of 34 respondents as samples. The chi-square analysis found that the p-value is very small, less than the significant level (α) of 0. This means that the things we tested are strongly connected. This, it can be concluded that prenatal yoga is related to the occurrence of low back pain in pregnant women who experience TPMB.
