Abstract

Pregnant women are susceptible to health problems, especially infectious diseases due to changes in body physiology and immune response mechanisms in the body. The Health Belief Model theory states that a person will take action to prevent disease if they perceive themselves to be susceptible to a condition (perceived susceptibility). This study aims to determine the perception of the vulnerability of pregnant women to Covid-19 in terms of age, education and parity. The type of this research is an analytic study with a cross sectional approach. Research data obtained from primary data. it derived from questionnaires that given to 93 pregnant women from 5 public health centers in the area of Malang City. The sampling technique of this study used accidental sampling. The results showed that there was no relationship between the age and parity of pregnant women and their perception of vulnerability during the Covid-19 pandemic (p=0,761; p=0,769) and there is a relationship between the education of pregnant women and the perception of their vulnerability during the Covid-19 pandemic (p=0.012). Many factors influence the perception of vulnerability of pregnant women, including education. Higher education will show wider knowledge of health conditions so that the higher the education of mothers, the faster they make decisions to prevent Covid-19. Meanwhile, the age and parity of pregnant women are not crucial factors that determine the perception of vulnerability of pregnant women during the pandemic, because all age and parity groups have the same possibility of being exposed to Covid-1 Keywords: perception of vulnerability, age, education, parity, covid-19

The design of this study was case control with a population of all stunting toddlers (30 toddlers). This study used a total sampling method with a total of 30 cases and 30 controls. Data were collected by interview using a questionnaire and anthropometry to measure height. Data processing used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results of the analysis concluded that there was a significant relationship between low birth weight (LBW) and the incidence of stunting in children under five in Donan Village. Abstract

The high rate of adolescent mortality due to reproductive problems such as HIV and AIDS is due to the lack of access to adolescent reproductive health services. Many adolescents under the age of 20 have had sexual intercourse, which will cause problems for both the mother and the baby during childbirth. To determine the effect of communication between parents and adolescents about reproductive health on adolescent sexual behavior. This study used a literature study from articles or journals spanning the years 2011-2020. The articles were collected from the database of Science Direct, Scholar, Scopus, Elsevier, PubMed, Sage, Researchgate, NCBI, Garuda Dikti Portal. Many factors influence communication between parents and adolescents, which are internal factors such as parental status, restrictions on male parents, how long they have lived together, education level, knowledge, and age of adolescents and parents, number of families, perceptions, comfort level, motivation, sexual experience, and religion. External factors such as economic status, providing communication in early adolescence and at high risk, only on the same sex, focus on women, peers, culture, and race/ethnicity. Parents and adolescents in all journals have communicated about sexual and reproductive health. Adolescents who have communicated with their parents are those who are sexually active and the lack of communication with their parents makes them look for information on their own that can increase risky sexual behavior. Keywords: Communication, reproductive health, sexual behavior

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is a pain experienced during menstruation which is quite severe which can interfere with daily activities. Dysmenorrhea can be experienced by women who have higher intrauterine pressure and have twice as many prostaglandin levels as women who do not experience dysmenorrhea. The incidence of dysmenorrhea that occurs in the world is quite large, where the average exceeds 50%, where women in each country are found to have dysmenorrhea. Meanwhile, in Indonesia alone, it is estimated that 55% of productive women with dysmenorrhea disrupt their activities. Desminorrhea pain can be treated with non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is deep breathing relaxation techniques. Where this technique can increase pulmonary ventilation, increase oxygenation in the blood, reduce pain intensity and suppress feelings of anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of deep breathing relaxation techniques on reducing dysmenorrhea pain in adolescent girls at SMAN 5 Jember. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test design approach. The population is 70 young women. The sample is 60 young women with sampling using simple random sampling technique. The results showed no pain 45.0%, mild pain 41.7%, moderate pain 13.3%. The analysis test used the Wilcoxon signed rank test with p-value = 0.000 < = 0.05. The conclusion in this study is that there is an effect of deep breathing relaxation techniques on reducing dysmenorrhea pain in adolescent girls. The results of this study are expected for young women at SMAN 5 Jember to be able to do deep breathing relaxation techniques when experiencing dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of failure to grow and develop in children which can result in morbidity, mortality, and decreased motor development. The incidence of stunting is often found in malnourished conditions. Jember is the district with the highest stunting incidence in East Java in 2020. Kaliwates Jember Health Center has a stunting incidence of around 460 at the age of 24-72 months. This research is observational with cross sectional approach. Taking non-random sampling of respondents using the N formula so that a sample of 82 was obtained and using statistical analysis using Chi Square. The results of data analysis from gender with stunting in toddlers obtained a value (p value = 0.04) = 0.05, which means that there is a relationship between sex and the incidence of stunting. The results of the study are expected that parents can maintain the health of their toddlers, try to serve foods that contain balanced nutrition according to the growth and development needs of toddlers and children as an effort to prevent and overcome stunting in toddlers.
