Abstract

Background: MR Spectroscopy is a radiological examination using MRS supporting software in the MRI modality that can show the correlation of metabolic or biochemical anatomical and physiological information contained in the body, both in normal and abnormal conditions[1]. MRS is done after a routine brain without contrast or contrast. Proton MR spectroscopy of brain tissue shows the spectral of several metabolites[2]. Some of the main metabolites in brain tissue detected by MRS are NAA, Cholin, Creatinien, and Lipid, Lactate and Myo Inositol. MRS results are in the form of a graph showing the ratio of NAA levels per cholin to the patient's body metabolites and a graph on normal metabolites forming Hunter's angle[3].Methods: This method is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach using comprehensive literatures studies. Results: MRI and MR Spectroscopy examinations in cases of brain disorders will strengthen the diagnosis by looking at changes in the pattern of metabolites in the brain. Some characteristic spectrum patterns can be used as markers of certain diseases, so they can replace biopsy. MR Spectroscopy examination showed that online game addicts had lower levels of NAA concentrations than normal people in the right frontal cortex and lower levels of choline (Cho) in the medial temporal cortex.[4].Conclusion: MR Spectroscopy does not play a role in replacing MRI imaging, but as an addition to non-invasive metabolic information that has a high degree of accuracy for diagnosing abnormalities in brain regions by evaluating spectrum patterns or metabolite ratios.

Abstract

Background: Emergency radiology has an important role. Based on several studies the factors responsible for delayed emergency care mostly involve imaging. All reports underscore the importance of imaging efficiency and the impact of imaging delays, which increase length of stay and exacerbate emergency department overcrowding, further limiting access to care and ultimately affecting radiographic results. Methods: This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach using literature study. Results:One of the problems in emergency services is waiting time as a local imaging barrier. A good RIS configuration is able to describe the workflow in each section, The digital imaging system supports the radiographer's records, including delays in the waiting room, and records of factors affecting scan time. HIS and RIS play a role in increasing patient efficiency and effectiveness. HIS stores, manages and captures information related to patient health activities and statistical data of health organizations. RIS is software that radiology installations use to improve radiological reporting quality and secure patient diagnostic results for years. As well as ensuring a smooth workflow in radiology installations and improving reporting quality. Conclusion: Good RIS integration is able to support the efficiency of emergency patient examinations, optimize patient waiting time and increase patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Background: Anemia is a serious global health problem that may result in hemorrhage, premature birth, Low Birth Weight, and fetal development disorder. To this day, detection for anemia in midwifery care is still invasive, despite the fact that it has some drawbacks, including the need for blood sampling, expensive cost, the need for skillful health care personnel, and the need for laboratory facility. All these drawbacks make people less interested in undergoing examination. The WHO recommends hemoglobin (Hb) screening using non-invasive methods. Method: This systematic review is based on the PRISMA protocol with searches from the database of Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Science Direct for publications published from 2010 to 2019. The keywords used were: “Early Detection for Anemia”, “Screening for Anemia”, and “Non-Invasive Anemia Detection” with inclusion criteria of publications written in English and Bahasa Indonesia, and those published between 2011 and 2019, which resulted in 16 selected publications. Results: Searches for publications landed 302 published publications, 16 of which meet the criteria. These 16 selected publications consist of 10 publications detecting anemia using fingers, and the remaining six, detect anemia using conjunctiva.  Conclusion: Non-invasive methods are deemed effective in detecting anemia because they are easy to implement, do not require blood sampling, affordable, and do not need skillful health care personnel to administer them, as well as having less possibility for infection. These advantages make non-invasive methods applicable in midwifery care.
