Abstract

UGM library representation on the library website can be interpreted in a variety of ways by users depending on the user's information needs, experience and user background. This is an input for the library website to optimize the service and completeness of the information sources contained on the library website so that it can be interpreted easily and maximally by users.This study uses a qualitative approach with the reception analysis method. The informants selected in this study were 3 students from the third and fourth semesters. The results of this study indicate that: the library website contradicts the demands of the current library development that libraries have emphasized the function of social space rather than just as a source of information. The library website should also not be represented as a place for accessing limited information such as the ETD feature service which only contains abstracts / thesis titles, theses / dissertations only. Meanwhile, for online information retrieval, the library website can be used easily and can meet user information needs such as an online journal database to assist student assignments and theses. The results of this study, it can be concluded that the UGM library website makes it easy to access information sources and library services, it's just that sometimes the information presented cannot be easily understood and accessed in full text by users such as a collection of theses, theses, and dissertations..

Abstract: The use of library information technology as a provider of information sources, which continues to be demanded from day to day for better systems and services whose purpose cannot be separated to meet the needs of users. It is felt that the use of information technology in the library will create efficiency in user needs. need for information which is an implication of human anxiety to: to solve problems. The use of IT in the library users can access the desired articles themselves, it doesn't take long for the desired articles to be obtained. Abstract

This article discusses the performance analysis of INLISLite which is used in the Kementerian PANRB’s Library as a retrieval system. This article aims to identify the performance of the INLISLite used in the Kementerian PANRB’s Library. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative with participatory observation methods. Furthermore, the aspects analyzed in the object of this study are recall, precision, and response time from the INLISLite of the Kementerian PANRB’s Library. The results obtained by the recall value ranged from 0.928 to 1, while the precision value was in the range 0.76 to 1 which was obtained through a simple search. Additionally, the average response time obtained based on searching through collection titles is 0.206 seconds. Meanwhile, for tracing through the subject, the response time obtained was 0.214 seconds. Even though the system is quite effective, there are still shortcomings in terms of features such as the absence of live chat with librarians so that it does not provide alternative options for users to communicate.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper discusses library management, which means all institutional activities that lead to efforts to achieve predetermined goals, which in the end, all elements of the institution will try to use according to the provisions of the institution or library. There are several aspects in library planning such as information materials, human resources, funds, buildings / spaces, systems, and equipment. Without careful planning, the direction of the goals to be achieved will not be clear, the implementation of activities becomes chaotic, and libraries will be slow to develop.Keywords: Library managementAbstrak: Tulisan ini membahas tentang manajemen perpustakaan yang maksudnya adalah, semua kegiatan lembaga yang mengarah pada usaha untuk mencapai tujuan yang sudah ditetapkan, yang pada akhirnya, semua elemen lembaga tersebut akan berupaya menggunakan sesuai ketentuan lembaga atau perpustakaan. Abstract

Abstract: As a librarian, the author feels very proud to be a librarian. This pride is certainly not without reason. In the author's view, being a libra­­­­­­rian is in fact a very exemplary profession and a very noble and honorable profession. Same is the case with other professions. Being a librarian, means we must be ready to serve many people. Serving the information needs of visitors, serving with a smile, and of course serving with sincerity and humility. Abstract

College libraries certainly have an important role in the course of the educational process in the tertiary institutions that oversee it. The services available in the library are used by students to fulfill their needs for information. These services are available directly so as to provide students who need library services as possible. However, during this pandemic, library services that are provided directly, of course, must comply in order to comply with the Covid-19 health protocol. Therefore, the library transfers all services that are directly related to library services, including digital, including reference services. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the literature study method, the observation method to analyze and analyze how the influence of the digital-based Bogor Agricultural Institute library reference on students and to find and explain in detail what factors can influence the reference service process. so that it can form an effective reference. It was found that this digital-based reference service had an effect in particular on the effect of service and information control on student satisfaction if the results of the references received were in accordance with their needs and found that library material collections, library users, librarians and library staff, library facilities, library funds or budgets, management library as well as connection speed and stability of the internet network have a big influence on the realization of an effective digital-based reference service.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses procurement management in libraries at Padang State University. The main problem raised in this research is how the management of the collection procurement in the Padang State University (UNP) library and what obstacles are the obstacles to the procurement of collections in the Padang State University library. In this study, using a descriptive approach with a qualitative method, namely to understand the phenomenon of what the research subjects experienced in a holistic manner by describing and collecting data through the field using interview and observation techniques. Based on this research, library material procurement is selected based on existing needs in the library. In procuring collections, tools such as personal catalogs, OPAC, bibliographies and so on can make it easier to find collections and make it easier for students to get collections quickly.Keywords: Procurement, Collection, Library, UserAbstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang manajemen pengadaan di perpustakaan di Universitas Negeri Padang. Pokok masalahnya yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana manajemen pengadaan koleksi diperpustakaan Universitas Negeri padang (UNP) dan kendala apa saja yang menjadi penghambat pengadaan koleksi diperpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang. Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan metode kualintatif yakni untuk memahami fenomena tentang apa yang dialami subyek penelitian secara holistic dengan cara mendeskripsikan dan mengumpulkan data melalui lapangan dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan penelitian ini pengadaan bahan pustaka diseleksi berdasarkan kebutuhan yang ada diperpustakaan. Dalam pengadaan koleksi bisa menggunakan alat bantu seperti katalog pribadi, OPAC,bibliografi dan sebagainya untuk mempermudah pencarian koleksi dan mempermudah mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan koleksi secara cepat.Kata kunci: Pengadaan, Koleksi, Perpustakaan, Pemustaka

Abstract

Abstract: Information is a set of data or records of events that are organized and then communicated in an easier to understand form. Information aims to make it easier to find news that will be used in making decisions. Information will also provide standards, rules and more targeted decisions to better achieve predetermined goals and objectives based on the information obtained. Information can also reduce uncertainty and increase knowledge and insight. Information is something that is very much needed in everyday life, not only in the field of education, information also has a very important war in changes made in the economic sector or what is more popularly called the industrial revolution. Looking at the development of the industrial revolution 1.0 to 4.0, it is clear that these changes were made based on information obtained from recorded events or data from research and research conducted by scientists in the early 18th century.Keyword: Library information, Industrial revolution 4.0Abstrak: Informasi adalah sekumpulan data atau rekaman kejadian yang di susun dan kemudian dapat dikomunikasikan dalam bentuk yang lebih mudah dipahami. Informasi bertujuan untuk memudahkan dalam mencari suatu berita yang akan digunakan dalam mengambil keputusan. Informasi juga akan memberikan standar, aturan dan keputusan yang lebih terarah untuk mencapai sasaran dan tujuan yang telah ditetapkan secara lebih baik berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh. Informasi juga dapat mengurangi ketidakpastian dan menambah pengetahuan dan wawasan. Informasi merupakan suatu yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, tidak hanya dalam bidang pendidikan, informasi juga mempunyai perang yang sangat penting dalam perubahan yang dilakukan di bidang perekonomian atau yang lebiuh populer disebut revolusi industri. Melihat dari perkembangan revolusi industri 1.0 hingga 4.0, terlihat jelas bahwa perubahan itu dilakukan berdasarkan informasi yang didapatkan dari rekaman kejadian atau data dari penelitian dan riset yang telah dilakukan oleh para ilmuwan pada awal abad ke-18.Kata Kunci: Informasi perpustakaan, Revolusi industry 4.0
