Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a difference in the application of the cooperative learning model type STAD and type NHT on student activity and learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach and the method used is an experimental method with data collection techniques using test and observation methods. The statistical test used was the multi-variate analysis of variance test. The result of this research is that there is a significant difference between the STAD and NHT cooperative learning models on student learning outcomes and activities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the learning cell learning model on the mathematical communication skills of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Torgamba. This research includes quantitative research. The population in this study amounted to 160 students. The sample in this study was class VIII-A and VIII-B, each with 32 students. The sampling technique used in this research is cluster random sampling, which is the taking of sample members from the population by randomizing classes. The results of this study indicate that the sig value in the regression analysis is 0,000. This value is less than 0.05 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The decision is that there is an effect of the learning cell learning model on the mathematical communication skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Torgamba. The effect of the learning cell learning model on the mathematical communication skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Torgamba was 72.1%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in students' mathematical communication skills using Expository and Inquiry Learning Strategies in Pythagorean theorem in MTs. Muallimin Aek Raso for the 2019/2020 academic year. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTs Muallimin Aek Raso which consisted of 2 classes, namely class VIII1 and VIII 2. The sample in this research was using cluster random sampling, taken 2 classes, namely class VIII1 with a total of 20 students using a strategy. Expository learning and for class VIII2 consisted of 20 students using inquiry learning strategies. The instrument in this study consisted of a description test of 10 questions which were first tried out in another class whose aim was to see the quality of the test in the form of validity, reliability and difficulty level of the questions. From the data analysis, an average count of 84.15 was obtained with a standard deviation of 7.7 in class VIII1 while the average count was 75.45 with a standard deviation of 6.5 in class VIII2. From the Hypothesis Test Using the Anova Test at Level 5 % obtained tcount ¬ 1.75 and t table ¬ 0.444 Ho is rejected and Ha dite rima. Thus, the conclusion is that there are differences in students' mathematical communication skills using Expository and Inquiry Learning Strategies in the Pythagorean theorem in MTs. Muallimin Aek Raso for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low level of mathematical reasoning and students' self-confidence. Lack of student reasoning can be seen from the students' pretest scores, where out of 20 students only 8 students achieved above average scores and 12 other students scored below the average, so about 60% of students scored below average. Seeing these problems, the authors are interested in applying the Student Facilitator And Explaining learning model where students can be involved to be more active in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of the cooperative learning model type student facilitator and explaining on mathematical reasoning and student self-confidence. Hypothesis testing used MANOVA analysis (Multivariate Analysis of Variance) with a significant level of 0.05 from the data obtained a significant value of 0.000 where 0.000 <0.05 and according to the criteria that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, there is a positive influence on the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model on Mathematical Reasoning and Student Confidence. So it can be concluded that (1) Judging from the SPSS Descriptive Statistics output, the posttest scores of Reasoning and Student Confidence using the Student Facilitator And Explaining learning model are included in the high category. (2) Results of the MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis Of Variance) test with significant treatment by the Pillai's Trace, Wilks Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, Roy's Largest Root procedures. Obtained a significant value of 0,000 where 0,000 <0.05 and according to the criteria that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, there is a positive influence on the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model on Mathematical Reasoning and Student Confidence.An abstranct is a brief summary of a research article, review, or any-depth analysis of a particular subject or disipline, and is often used to help the reader quickly ascertain the paper purposes. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a valid LKS. This development research uses the Four-D model which consists of four stages, namely: a) define, b) design and c) develop and d) disseminate. But in this study only arrived at the development stage by testing the validity. The research instrument used in constructivism-based LKS was in the form of validation sheets used to assess the validity of LKS. The results of the validity study of Student Worksheets (LKS) based on constructivism by material experts get the overall average score is 75.83% with good criteria, while the validation by media experts get an overall average score of 89.72% with very good criteria. Thus the results of this development research show that constructivism based LKS mathematics in the Program Linear material meet valid qualifications.

Abstract

Inovasi dalam pembelajaran sangat diperlukan. Salah satu inovasi yang dapat dilakukan yaitu melalui model pembelajaran yang mampu membuat pembelajaran menjadi menarik serta mampu menaktifkan peserta didik. Dan salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan adalah model pembelajaran somatic, auditory, visual, intellectual (SAVI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian literature tentang model pembelajaran somatic, auditory, visual, intellectual (SAVI) dan kaitannya dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah metode SLR (Systematic Literature Review). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mendokumentasi dan mereviu semua artikel mengenai metode pembelajaran somatic, auditory, visual, intellectual (SAVI) yang diterbitkan dalam kurun waktu 2014-2020. Artikel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 24 artikel jurnal nasional yang terakreditasi yang diperoleh dari google scholar menggunakan aplikasi Publish or perish. Berdasarkan penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa model pembelajaran somatic, auditory,visual, intellectual (SAVI) dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran matematika, hasil belajar dan keefetifan belajar siswa.

Abstract

Ethnomatematics is a study that contains mathematical ideas from traditional societies which are applied to certain societies which are practiced by cultural groups. One of the existing cultures in Tuban district is Gedog batik. Gedog batik ethnomatematics is a study that examines the application of mathematical concepts to Gedog batik. The purpose of this research is to examine how the mathematical concepts of the Gedog batik motif. The method used in this research is exploration with an ethnographic approach. The results showed that the Gedog batik motif contains mathematical elements, including the concepts of symmetry, transformation (reflection, translation, rotation) and congruence. By knowing the mathematical elements of Gedog batik, it is hoped that it can help understand mathematical concepts based on contextual problems that arise in the Gedog batik culture.

Abstract

Algebraic thinking skills for students are important to improve in mathematics learning. Algebra is also closely related to other branches of mathematics. Because every branch of mathematics uses mathematical symbols. So it can be said that algebra is one of the keys to success in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine algebraic thinking skills in junior high school students in grade VII in terms of logical thinking skills. this type of research is a qualitative study. The subjects in this study consisted of 3 junior high school students in grade VII, each of whom occupied the abstract operasional stage, the transitional stage and the concrete operational stage which were determined through a logical thinking ability test (TKBL). After finding a subject that corresponds to the stage of logical thinking ability, the subject is given an algebraic thinking test. Data collection using written test collection using written test questions and interviews. The results of this study state that the subject of the abstract operational stage is good in algebraic thinking skills, the transitional skills and the concrete operational stage subject is lacking in algebraic thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the validity of the development of GeoGebra-based Power Point learning media on the subject of the Pythagorean theorem for junior high school students. This research procedure uses research and development. The development model used is the Thiagarajan 4-D development model which is divided into 4 sessions, namely the Definition session, the Design session, the Development session, and the Disseminate session. In this research, the dissemination session could not be attempted due to research limitations, namely the COVID-19 pandemic. The information collection instrument was in the form of module expert validation sheets and media experts. Information analysis method uses quantitative descriptive. In the results of the information analysis, the average validity or feasibility score of the material was 84, 44% in the very good category and the average media validity or feasibility score was 86, 90% in the very good category. It is concluded that the results of the validation test of GeoGebra-based PowerPoint learning media on the subject of the Pythagorean theorem for junior high school students are very good for use in learning at school.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively is a person's ability to process and think of new solutions in the form of ideas or real results. In processing new ideas, a person has different ways according to his learning style. Analysis of creative thinking skills aimed to describe students' creative thinking skills concerned of student learning styles. The method of this study used qualitative. The subject of this research was VIII-A SMP NU Bahrul Ulum, Menganti, Gresik 2020-2021 academic year. There are three instruments such as learning style questionnaire, creative thinking ability test and interview guidelines. Learning style questionnaires were given to all students in grades VIII-A, at the same time creative thinking tests and interviews were only given to three students representing each learning style. The measurement of creative thinking skills uses three indicators, there are fluency indicators, flexibility indicators, and novelty indicators. There are five levels in creative thinking ability level, that is level 4 it said very creative, level 3 is creative, level 2 said to quite creative, level 1 it said less creative and level 0 stated uncreative. Based on the results of the study, the researcher concluded that subjects with visual learning styles reached level 2 which was quite creative, subjects with auditory learning styles accomplished level 3 which is creative, and subjects with kinesthetic learning styles attained level 4 which was very creative. Therefore, each learning style has a different level of creative thinking.
