Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) differences in student motivation between learning using digital video storytelling and learning without using digital video storytelling (2) the effectiveness of using digital video storytelling in trigonometric learning. This research is an experimental study using true experimental design with a pre test-post test control group design model. This research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Surabaya with samples taken of two classes used for the experimental class and the control class. The technique of collecting data uses student learning motivation questionnaires. While the analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed there were differences in student learning motivation using digital video storytelling and those not using digital video storytelling. The difference can be seen from the average value of student learning motivation in the experimental class before the use of media by 28.44 and after using media by 47.48. In addition, research results from the results of the Mann-Whitney Test show that the use of digital video storytelling media is effectively used in trigonometric learning. This is evidenced from the average results of student motivation in the experimental class increased by 19.04 while the average student motivation in the control class increased by 11.07. Seen an increase in student motivation in classrooms using digital video storytelling is higher than those who do not use digital video storytelling.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively is a person's ability to process and think of new solutions in the form of ideas or real results. In processing new ideas, a person has different ways according to his learning style. Analysis of creative thinking skills aimed to describe students' creative thinking skills concerned of student learning styles. The method of this study used qualitative. The subject of this research was VIII-A SMP NU Bahrul Ulum, Menganti, Gresik 2020-2021 academic year. There are three instruments such as learning style questionnaire, creative thinking ability test and interview guidelines. Learning style questionnaires were given to all students in grades VIII-A, at the same time creative thinking tests and interviews were only given to three students representing each learning style. The measurement of creative thinking skills uses three indicators, there are fluency indicators, flexibility indicators, and novelty indicators. There are five levels in creative thinking ability level, that is level 4 it said very creative, level 3 is creative, level 2 said to quite creative, level 1 it said less creative and level 0 stated uncreative. Based on the results of the study, the researcher concluded that subjects with visual learning styles reached level 2 which was quite creative, subjects with auditory learning styles accomplished level 3 which is creative, and subjects with kinesthetic learning styles attained level 4 which was very creative. Therefore, each learning style has a different level of creative thinking.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using youtube media on student learning outcomes in the even semester 2020/2021 Statistics lectures and to see student responses while using youtube media as a source of learning information during lectures. This research is a quasi-experimental research with 18 students taking the subject of statistics. The design in this study used a one group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used in this study were a matter of learning outcomes tests and student response questionnaires. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The data was processed using SPSS 22. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis using the paired sample t-test, an alpha value of 0.000 <0.05 means that there is an effect of using YouTube media on student learning outcomes. It can be seen that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes before and after using YouTube, which is 54.44. In addition, based on the results of the student response questionnaire, it showed that all aspects contained in the student response questionnaire showed an average of 67.36  good results.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan  keterampilan kepada Guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran daring selama masa pandemi. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan melakukan bimbingan secara teknis dalam membuat media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan powerpoint. Langkah-langkah dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kegiatan. Setelah dilakukan bimbingan teknis, ada hasil yang positif seperti peserta puas karena materi bimbingan sangat mudah dipraktekkan dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka sebagai seorang guru yang mewajibkan untuk selalu berinovasi.

Abstract

USBN dilaksanakan sebagai upaya untk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan nasional yang diamanatkan oleh Pemerintah dalam Peraturan Pemerintah No 32 Tahun 2013 tentang Standar Nasional pendidikan. Kegiatan Bimbingan Intensif yang dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas 6 SD Hidayatur Rohman ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan siswa SD menghadapi USBN tahun pelajaran 2017/ 2018 salah satunya adalah meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal USBN khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis melalui penilaian terhadap soal matematika yang diberikan pada siswa kelas VI. Kegiatan Bimbingan Intensif ini dilaksanakan dengan 3 tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Dari hasil Bimbingan Intensif yang dilaksanakan selama 5 hari, terlihat bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa dalam mata pelajaran matematika adalah 63,34 dengan nilai terendah sebesar 32,64 dan nilai tertinggi sebesar 95,57. Hal ini berarti mengalami peningkatan sebesar 19,87%. Dimana nilai rata-rata kelas yang didapatkan saat pre-test adalah sebesar 52,84 dengan nilai terendah sebesar 31,3 dan nilai tertinggi sebesar 83,25. Ini berarti bahwa kemampuan mereka dalam memahami soal dan keterampilan mereka dalam menyelesaikan soal sudah cukup lumayan meskipun masih belum bisa dikatakan memuaskan.

Abstract

The research describes the students' creative thinking ability in solving open-ended questions based on mathematics ability. Indicators of the ability to think creatively used in this study are fluency, flexibility, and novelty. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were eighth-grade students of Baitul Fattah Junior High School, Sambikerep, Surabaya, 2019/2020 school year. The instruments used were the mathematics ability test, creative thinking ability test, and interview. The sum of the subjects who do the mathematics ability test is 30 students, the researcher chooses six students for the creative thinking test. Of the six students, three students were select to be an interview. There are five levels of TKBK (Creative Thinking Ability Level), namely fourth level (very creative), third level (creative), second level (quite creatives), first-level (less creative), and level 0 (not creatives). Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that subjects with high ability have TKBK at the third level, namely creative with the acquisition of a score of four. Subjects with moderate ability have TKBK at the fourth level, namely highly creative with the acquisition of a score of thirty-six. While subjects with low ability have TKBK at the first level, namely are less creative with the acquisition of a score of thirteen.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of using Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM on student learning outcomes in Trigonometry lectures even semester 2019/2020. This research is a quasi-experimental research with 8 students who teach trigonometry as a research subject. The design in this study used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used in this study was a test of learning outcomes consisting of pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The data were processed using SPSS 22. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis of student learning outcomes after the lecture using the Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM was better than before using the Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM. The average post-test learning outcome was 90.75 while the average learning outcome pretest of 28.75. As seen here there is an average increase of 62.00. While the results of inferential statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test obtained the value of Z count > Z table, namely -2.524 > -1.96, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Meanwhile, based on the results of comparing the probability values, the Asymp value is obtained. Sig. (2-tailed) < the alpha value of 0.012 < 0.05 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a difference in the average results of students who use Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM and students who do not use Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM. That is, there is an effect of using Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan anak jalanan tidak hanya diberikan stimulant berupa uang dan makanan yang cukup, tetapi harus diberikan “kail” untuk meningkatkan keterampilannya. Salah satu bentuk keterampilan yang perlu diberikan kepada anak jalanan adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan membuat kerajinan tangan. Komunitas Anak Jalanan (SSC) Sidoarjo merupakan sekumpulan anak muda yang merekut anak jalanan untuk diajak belajar bersama guna diberikan ketrampilan guna meningkatkan perekonomiannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian campuran dengan mengadopsi model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 anak di Sidoarjo. Mitra dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Komunitas Anak Jalanan (SSC) Sidoarjo. Analisis data kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menghitung gaincore. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat dilakukan peningkatan taraf hidup dengan membuat produk kerajinan sebesar 80,7 dalam kategori sangat baik, menghasilkan produk dengan nilai tinggi 79,5 dalam kategori baik, sikap berani berwirausaha. 71,6 kategori baik, dan rencana. Untuk masa depan 82,9 dalam kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan peningkatan kreativitas anak pada empat kegiatan yaitu pembelajaran menggambar dan melukis meningkat sebesar 0,61 pada kategori sedang, pembelajaran membuat plastisin pada kategori tinggi meningkat sebesar 0,71, pembelajaran berbicara pada kategori sedang meningkat sebesar 0,68, dan pembelajaran menulis dan bercerita pada kategori sedang meningkat sebesa 0,65. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan secara umum bahwa pemberdayaan dalam Komunitas Save Street Child (SSC) dapat meningkatkan Taraf Hidup Anak Jalanan

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan kepada wali murid dari TK Dharmawanita Ngembeh tentang bagaimana mengajarkan calistung pada anak usia dini di rumah selama masa pandemi. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan melakukan kegiatan parenting berupa sosialisasi kepada wali murid dengan memberikan materi tentang mengajarkan CALISTUNG pada anak usia dini melalui permainan. Langkah-langkah dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Setelah dilakukannya kegiatan parenting ini, ada hasil yang positif seperti, puasnya mereka pada materi yang disampaikan oleh narasumber kemudian pemberian contoh konkrit terkait aplikasi dalam mengajarkan CALISTUNG di rumah melalui kegiatan bermain dan juga banyaknya antusias dari wali murid saat kegiatan berdiskusi.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan buku ajar teori bilangan berbasis direct instruction yang berkualitas baik untuk mahasiswa keguruan pendidikan matematika STKIP Bina Insan Mandiri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan desain pengembangan ADDIE dengan lima tahapan yaitu tahapan analisis (analysis), tahap perancangan (design), tahap pengembangan (development), tahap implementasi (implementation), dan tahap evaluasi (evaluation). Berdasarkan hasil uji coba buku ajar teori bilangan berbasis direct instruction, buku ajar dikatakan (1) valid berdasarkan penilaian validator dengan rerata penilaian sebesar 0,8916 atau sebesar 89,16% yang berada pada kategori sangat baik (2) praktis berdasarkan hasil dari pengamatan ahli bahwa buku ajar dapat digunakan di lapangan, pembelajaran juga berlangsung dengan sangat baik dan aktivitas mahasiswa selama pembelajaran juga sangat baik dengan prosentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 85% (3) efektif berdasarkan nilai rerata kelas sebesar 76,0125 dan pemberian respon positif mahasiswa dengan prosentase sebesar > 60% pada masing-masing indikator yaitu pada kategori cukup, baik, dan sangat baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku ajar teori bilangan berbasis direct instruction berkualitas baik. Abstract: The purpose of this research is to produce a number theory textbook based on direct instruction for mathematics education teacher students at STKIP Bina Insan Mandiri. This research is a development research using the ADDIE development design with five stages, namely the analysis stage, the design stage, the development stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. Based on the test results of the number theory textbook based on direct instruction, the textbook is said to be (1) valid based on the validator's assessment with an average rating of 0.8916 or 89.16% which is in the very good category (2) practical based on the results of expert observations that textbooks can be used in the field, learning also takes place very well and student activities during learning are also very good with the percentage of learning implementation of 85%(3) effective based on the class average value of 76.0125 and giving positive student responses with a percentage of > 60% on each indicator namely in the category of moderate, good, and very good. So it can be concluded that the number theory textbooks based on direct instruction are of good quality
