Abstract

Research on the accuracy and precision of the Helmholtz resonator evaluation at UIN Sunan Kalijaga physics laboratory has been conducted. This research is motivated by the absence of evaluation research on this tool since its arrival in 2008. This research was conducted in 3 stages, namely the preparation of tools and materials, data collection, and data processing. The results of this study provide information that the accuracy of the Helmholtz resonator in the UIN Sunan Kalijaga physics laboratory has decreased. The accuracy is still in the good category, even though it is under SNI and SI. While the precision is still very good and still meets SNI and SI.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang edible film menggunakan bahan dasar pati singkong dengan penambahan ekstrak lidah buaya dan sorbitol sebagai plasticizer telah dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memahami pengaruh penambahan ekstrak lidah buaya terhadap sifat mekanik edible film danpengaruh pelapisan edible film terhadap masa simpan cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.) berdasarkan uji susut bobot dan uji tekstur. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan 4 tahapan kerja yaitu, pembuatan ekstrak lidah buaya, pembuatan edible film, uji sifat mekanik yang meliputi ketebalan, kuat tarik, elongasi, modulus elastisitas, dan aplikasi edible film pada cabai rawit. Variasi ekstrak lidah buaya yang ditambahkan sebesar 0,01; 0,03; 0,05; 0,07 dan 0,14 gram. Karakteristik gugusfungsi diuji dengan menggunakan FTIR dan uji aplikasi edible film pada cabai rawit dilakukan selama empat belas hari dengan parameter uji susut bobot dan tekstur. Sifat mekanik terbaik dihasilkan dengan ketebalan 0,0620 mm, kuat tarik 10,8342 MPa, elongasi 3,4166 %, moduluselastisitas 3,5544 MPa dan WVTR sebesar 3,8776 g/m2.24 jam. Penambahan ekstrak lidah buaya menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap sifat mekanik. Pelapisan edible film pada cabai rawit berpengaruh terhadap masa simpan yang dibuktikan dengan susut bobot dan uji tekstur.

Abstract

Salah satu bagian terpenting pada sebuah sistem elektronika adalah bagian penyedia tegangan dan arus listrik. Karena sebuah sistem elektronika tidak akan dapat berfungsi apabila belum dicatu oleh suatu sumber tegangan atau arus listrik. Oleh karenanya diperlukan peralatan yang mampu menyediakan dan mengalirkan tegangan dan arus listrik. Peralatan ini disebut catu daya atau power supply. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tegangan dan arus pada output catu daya DC TYPE 7015 terhadap perubahan dari beban resistif, sehingga dapat diketahui batas kemampuan sebuah catu daya, sekaligus untuk mengetahui keakuratannya. Setelah diketahui tingkat kehandalan/keakuratannya diperoleh juga informasi rekomendasi untuk dilakukan perawatan bila memang diperlukan. Kegiatan-kegiatan seperti praktikum, eksperimen ataupun penelitian di laboratorium umumnya juga menggunakan catu daya sebagai sumber tegangan dan arus listrik. Selain jenisnya beragam, kebutuhan tegangan dan arus listrik yang akan digunakan pada tiap-tiap rangkaian elektronika berbeda-beda pula. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ini dilaboratorium tempat kami bertugas telah menyediakan catu daya jenis teregulasi linier tipe simetris variabel dengan dilengkapi sistem pendeteksi drop tegangan.Berdasarkan hasil analisa terhadap data penelitian, maka dapat diketahui bahwa pada kondisi belum ada beban ( R = 0Ω ) sebagian besar dari catu daya menunjukkan adanya selisih pembacaan antara tegangan pada alat ukur (Vm) dan tegangan pada display catu daya (Vd), selisih tegangan (ΔV) ini bernilai pada kisaran 0.06V sampai 0.55V hal ini menunjukkan menurunnya kondisi kinerja pada catu daya.

Abstract

Research on the use of column stiffening plates in the construction of steel portals was carried out in order to determine the effect on loads and deflection. The part of the column that is most prone to failure is in the tensile area, namely the part of the column that is adjacent to the top of the roof beam and in the compression area at the bottom of the roof beam. The tensile part will usually fail to tear while the compressive area occurs when buckling occurs. Tearing and bending failure can be anticipated by installing stiffening plates in the column. Column stiffening plates were varied in the tensile (top), shear (middle), press (bottom), and diagonal areas between the shear-pull areas.The loading is in the form of a concentrated load spread over fourteen points on the roof beam. The loading is carried out in 100 stages (100 sub steps) in order to get a tight iteration so as to get the best results. The optimum model can be determined after testing the five models with variations in the column stiffener plate with the largest load that can be borne by the model. The position of the importance of installing the column stiffener plate can also be found.

Abstract

This paper presents the electronic control of a solar hybrid egg incubator using Arduino. In the process of hatching eggs, there are 2 methods, namely naturally incubated by the parent itself and artificially by using an egg incubator. In general, egg incubators utilize electrical energy, where we know that electrical energy from fossils is expected to run out in 2020. In this solar hybrid egg incubator, it is able to minimize the use of electricity and is environmentally friendly which uses 2 energies, namely, sunlight as a source of heat in the process of hatching eggs and electrical energy with a heater as the actuator to back up when the heat absorbed does not meet the needs. In the process of hatching eggs, heat energy is required in the form of a temperature of 29 to 34 degrees Celsius. In the process of absorbing sunlight, heat storage accumulators are used directly. By using a heat storage accumulator and utilizing this heat energy directly, it can optimize energy from the sun by 80%, in contrast to solar panels that absorb solar energy and convert solar energy to electrical energy in a maximum of 20%.

Abstract

Research has been done for effect of heavy metals lead, chrom and cadmium in waste water after processing from UII Integrated Laboratory waste water processed team design, determination with Atomic Absorbtion Spectrophotometer. Waste water processed team design used filter like sponge and palm fiber, absorbent as activated carbon and kaolin. Result of heavy metals determination after processed show that lead down 17%, chrom down 100% and cadmium is not detected.

Abstract

Digital image processing has been in a fast progress and used in many fileds. The use of the digital image processing in Islamic universities has not been widely used but only used in some deparments such as Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and Medical Faculty. Meanwhile, digital image processing can be used to develop Arabic study and Islamic manuscript research. In Islamic education, it can be used to develop Arabic study to identify certain texts such as isim, fiíl and letters from image. And so is in Islamic manuscript research, digital image processing helps identifying certain fading text because of age. The objective of this study is to describe how to identify a text in Alquran digital image using processing software, digital image processing. Hopefully, this study can be used as a guidance for the following researches in language field and ancient Islamic manuscript in Islamic Universities. This study uses Normalized Cross Correlative methods. This method give correlation value between -1 until 1, where 1 indicate that two have same the exact same shape. This study use the word Allah in Alquran Utsmani as an object sample that will be detected. It uses Python language programming to apply the methods. The main library used here is OpenCV. The experiment has detected the text of the word Allah in Alquran image with 90% average of similarity. The application of Digital image processing can be used for Islamic studies, especially in Arabic study and Islamic manuscript research. The application of Digital Image Processing skill can support the development of the 21st Curricullum in Islamic universities.

Abstract

Research on the absorption and accumulation of copper and lead metals in laboratory wastewater has been conducted. The purpose of this research was to provide solutions on handling and processing of heavy metal waste in the laboratory. The phytoremediation method was used for this purpose, using the apu-apu plant as a hyperaccumulator plant. The absorption and accumulation of copper and lead metals happened faster on the beginning of the phytoremediation process. After the phytoremediation process, decrease in copper metal concentration on the fifth day was 85,58% and decrease in lead metal concentration was 79,55%.

Abstract

Dalam usaha untuk memperkecil terjadinya kecelakaan yang terjadi di laboratorium Program Studi Teknik Elekronika Jurusan Teknik Elekro Politeknik Negeri Malang, kami akan melakukan penelitian sejauh mana pemahaman Mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Elekronika mengetahui rambu-rambu dan tanda peringatan yang berupa gambar/symbol K3.Penelitian dilakukan dalam bentuk menyebar kuesioner secara online yang berisi tentang pertanyaan-pertanyaan pilihan ganda, isi dari kuesioner terdiri dari pengertian k3, symbol, perilaku diruang kerja, tindakan bila terjadi kecelakaan kerja serta symbol perintah maupun larangan.Data yang masuk secara online dibuat secara tabulasi dan kemudian ditampilkan dalam bentuk bar card untuk mempermudah pembacaannya. Data disebar ke Mahasiswa tingkat I sampai dengan tingkat III dengan jumlah responden 106. Abstract

An effect of mass to surface area in Hidrotalcite with BET and t-Plote methods  has been studied. Surface Area Analyser Novatouch LX-4 was used for this studied. In this studies there is variation of mass in Hidrotalcite 0,0703g; 0,0637g; 0,0504g and 0,0413g. From weigth of mass have a result surface area with BET methods Hidrotalcite 12,1605m2/g; 7,29699m2/g; 5,41373m2/g and 1,51093m2/g. T-Plote methods result mikropore area 10,0791m2/g; 17,2148m2/g; 20,9804m2/g and 29,7217m2/g. These results show that more ligth of the mass Hidrotalcite, surface area decreased, but the mikropore area increased.
