Abstract

ABSTRACT. Background. One of the causes of the low hand washing behavior in public elementary school students is due to the limited learning media used. The Educational Game Tool (EGT), specifically the snake ladder game, can be used as an alternative learning media about hand washing behavior in public elementary school students. This study aims to determine the effect of using EGT on hand washing behavior of public elementary school students in Denpasar City. Methods. This pre-experimental study used the design of the One Group Pre-Post Test Only and was carried out at SDN 3 Tonja. The sample in this study were 30 first grade students who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument uses the Hand Washing Questioner and a snake ladder game developed by researchers. Result. The test results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank test showed that the handwashing behavior of all participants significantly increased after treatment (M = 15.5, p <0.001). Discussion. A pleasant EGT makes it easy for children to understand the positive behavior they want to instill. While carrying out this game, children begin to accept and be ready to carry out proper hand washing behavior in their daily lives. Through the games given, information about proper hand washing behavior is acceptable. Conclusion. EGT has an effect on increasing handwashing behavior in elementary school students.Keywords: educational game tool, hand washing behavior, elementary school students

Abstract

Cataracts are cloudiness in the lens of eyes that can only be cured by surgical procedure. The high number of patients with cataract surgery does  not matched with their understanding on how the treatment and management of post operative cataract patient adherence to exercise control over. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of patients knowledge about post operative treatment of cataract with the motivation to see the doctor as outpatient at Bali Mandara Eye Hospital in 2016.This study used a descriptive correlation design with cross sectional approach. The sampling used consecutive sampling with a total sample of 88 respondents. The data was collected by using questionnaires. The data were analysed using univariate and bivariate technique with SPSS 20.0 program.Most of the patients knowledge about post operative treatment of cataract in good categories  73.9% (65 respondents) and motivation to do outpatient consultation at Bali Mandara Eye Hospital is categorized high, which is 98.9% (87 respondents). Pearson Product Moment analysis results showed p-value <0.001 and r = 0.634, which mean there is a connection between patients knowledge about post operative treatment of cataract with the motivation to do outpatient consultation at Bali Mandara Eye Hospital in 2016.A Good knowledge on post operative treatment of cataract, is expected to motivate patients to actively visit the hospital for outpatient consultation  so that complications after cataract surgery can be prevented Keywords: knowledge, motivation, post-operative treatment of cataract

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang : Gangguan pendengaran yang terjadi pada anak perlu untuk dilakukan deteksi seawal mungkin mengingat peranan pendengaran dalam proses perkembangan bicara sangatlah penting. Fungsi pendengaran dan juga perkembangan bicara sudah termasuk ke dalam program evaluasi perkembangan anak secara umum yang biasa dilakukan mulai dari tingkatan Posyandu oleh profesi di bidang kesehatan khususnya profesi perawat. Perkembangan bahasa anak tunarungu pada awalnya tidak berbeda dengan perkembangan bahasa anak normal karena bahasa sangat dipengaruhi oleh pendengarannya sehingga perkembangannya terhambat.Pada awalnya perkembangan bahasa anak tuna rungu tidak berbeda dengan anak normal, pada usia awal bayi akan menangis jika lapar, haus, buang air besar, buang air kecil, atau sakit. Tujuan : Diketahuinya pengaruh Auditory Visual Therapy (AVT) terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak gangguan pendengaran usia sekolah (6-12 Tahun) di SLB Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Metode : Jenis penelitianQuasi eksperiment dengan rancangan?Pre test Post test with Control Group Design?. Rancangan ini ada kelompok pembanding (kontrol), observasi dilakukan dua kali. Observasi pertama untuk mengetahui perkembangan bahasa anak gangguan pendengaran usia sekolah (6-12 tahun) sebelum diberikan Auditory Visual Therapy (AVT) dan observasi kedua sesudah diberikan Auditory Visual Therapy (AVT). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan kriteria anak gangguan pendengaran usia sekolah (6-12 tahun) di SLB Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Data hasil pemeriksaan dianalisis secara diskriptif  dan secara analitik dengan bantuan program SPSS for windows versi 16.0 menggunakan uji pair t-test, wilcoxon, mann whitney dan uji beda delta dengan taraf signifikan 0,05.  Hasil : Perkembangan bahasa anak dengan gangguan pendengaran pada kelompok eksperimen kategori kurang dan pada kelompok kontrol kategori kurang. Nilaipre test dan post test dengan p (sig) 0,000 < 0,05 berarti ada perbedaan antara pre test dan post test pada kelompok eksperimen. Nilaipre test dan post test dengan p (sig) 0,001 < 0,05 berarti ada perbedaan antara kelompok eksperimen pre test dan post test. Hasil uji beda delta pada kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol p (sig), 0,05. Kesimpulan : Ada peningkatan pengaruh pemberian Auditory Visual Therapy (AVT) Terhadap Perkembangan Bahasa Anak Gangguan Pendengaran Usia Sekolah (6-12 Tahun) di SLB Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) dengan nilai p (sig)< 0,05 berarti Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak.Kata Kunci : Auditory Visual Therapy (AVT), perkembangan bahasa, anak gangguan pendengaran, usia sekolahABSTRACTBackground : Hearing loss that occurs in children needs to be done as early as possible in view of the role of detection of hearing the speech development process is very important. Hearing and speech development is already included in the evaluation program of child development in general is usually done from IHC levels by profession in the field of health, especially in the nursing profession. Language development of deaf children at first no different from normal children's language development because the language is strongly influenced by his hearing so that its development is hampered. At first the language development of deaf children are no different from normal children, at an early age the baby will cry when hungry, thirsty, defecation, urination or pain. Objective : Knowing the influence of Auditory Visual Therapy ( AVT ) on the development of hearing impaired children's language school age ( 6-12 years ) in SLB Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). Method: Quasi experiment with the draft "Pre test Post test with Control Group Design". This design is no comparison group (control), observations made twice. The first observation to determine the child's language development of hearing impaired school age (6-12 years) before being given Auditory Visual Therapy (AVT) and a second observation post given Auditory Visual Therapy (AVT). Sampling was done by purposive sampling with criteria for hearing impaired children of school age (6-12 years) in SLB Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). Data examination results were analyzed descriptively and analytically with SPSS for Windows version 16.0 using test pair t -test, Wilcoxon, Mann Whitney and different test deltawith significance level of 0,05.Results : The development of children's language with a hearing loss in the experimental group category is less and less in the control group category. Value pre-test and post- test with p (sig) 0,000 < 0.05 means there is a difference between pre-test and post-test in the experimental group. Value pre-test and post- test with p (sig) 0,001 < 0,05 means that there is a difference between the experimental group pre-test and post test. Different test results delta in the experimental group and control p ( sig)  0,05. Conclusion :There is an increasing influence of Auditory Visual Therapy (AVT) On Language Development Hearing Impaired School-Age Children (6-12 Years) in SLB Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), with p (sig) <0,05 means that Ha accepted and Ho rejected.Keywords :Auditory Visual Therapy (AVT), language development, hearing impaired children, school age

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Blok pada bidang transversus abdominis (transversus abdominis plane / TAP) merupakan teknik yang dilakukan dengan injeksi lokal anestesi secara bolus dengan dosis besar tunggal pada bidang transversus abdominis. Dalam penanganan nyeri pasca operasi seksio sesarea, Transversus Abdominis Plane (TAP) block, sebagai komponen regimen analgetik multimodal, memberikan analgesia yang paling baik diantara tehnik non-opioid. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT). Kelompok A mendapat TAP blok bilateral dengan levobupivacaine 0,5% masing-masning 15 ml, dan kelompok B (kontrol) tidak mendapat TAP blok. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa derajat nyeri pada  kelompok blok TAP lebih rendah dibanding kelompok kontrol pada jam ke-4 sampai jam ke-12 pasca operasi. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa kebutuhan fentanil total selama 24 jam pasca bedah lebih sedikit pada kelompok yang mendapatkan blok TAP (54 +  43.10 ?g) dibanding kelompok kontrol (95 +  43.30 ?g). Perbedaan ini bermakna secara statistik (p<0,05).Diskusi: Pada penelitian ini diketahui TAP blok dengan panduan USG sebagai komponen analgesia multimodal, memberikan analgesia yang efektif dan mengurangi kebutuhan dosis obat anelgetik pasca operasi seksio sesarea.Kata Kunci : Transversus Abdominis Plane (TAP), analgetik, operasi sesarea

Abstract

ABSTRACTDiabetes mellitus (DM) is chronic disease characterized by blood glucose level high than normal. When one of family member suffers from illness, it will affect family condition in managing treatment and caring.This study aimed to identify family burden of patients with Type II DM in Puskesmas III of North Denpasar including objective, subjective, and iatrogenic burden. This study employed descriptive design with cross sectional approach. The study involved 102 respondents with consecutive sampling. Data were collected by questionnaire. Findings indicated that objective burden of family with mild, moderate, and heavy burden were 24.5%, 8.8% and  66.7%; respectively). Subjective burden indicating mild, moderate, and heavy burden were 6.9%, 70.6% and 22.5% respectively. Iatrogenic burden indicating mild, moderate, and heavy burden were 8.8%,  1% and 90.2% respectively. All families experienced heavy burden in caring for patients with DM because of difficulty in treatment.  Keywords: Objective Burden, Subjective Burden, Iatrogenic Burden, Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract

Parents as caregivers but also as educators should know that children from an early age begin to emerge new skills, both physical and mental skills. In parenting a child, parents need to understand what is happening to the child and recognize what the child needs for his development, as well as what things must be done to meet those needs. Objectives: to find out how the level of knowledge of mothers about the growth and development of preschool children aged 4-6 years. Methods: Descriptive using Non Probability Sampling, a sample of 40 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Results: From 40 respondents, the majority of respondents aged 24-33 years, 25 respondents (62.5%) obtained data, and 19 respondents (47.5%) obtained high school education. Most respondents have a good level of knowledge about the stimulation of their children's growth and development, this can be seen from the results of the questionnaire all respondents answered statement number 1 correctly, meaning that all respondents understood about the meaning of growth and stimulation. Almost all respondents understand about the forms of stimulation, this can be seen from almost all respondents answering statements number 2 to number 9 correctly, only 5% of respondents answered incorrectly. Almost all respondents also have knowledge about stimulation in preschool children aged 4-6 years, this can be seen from almost all respondents answering statements number 11 to number 20 correctly, only 15 (%) respondents answered incorrectly. Discussion: Most respondents have a good level of knowledge about their children's growth and development stimulation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDiabetes Melitus merupakan penyakit yang tidak dapat disembuhkan akan tetapi sangat memungkinkan untuk dikelola atau dikontrol. Dalam konteks pengelolaan penyakit DM, kesadaran ataupun disiplin diri penderita sangat diperlukan untuk membangun kemandirian dan mempertahankan kepatuhan penderita dalam melaksanakan manajemen pengobatan. Komponen manajemen perawatan DM terdiri dari lima pilar utama yang sudah menjadi panduan bagi praktisi kesehatan. Akan tetapi, perlu evaluasi yang nyata untuk mengetahui keberhasilan pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan pilar utama diabetes pada pasien DM tipe 2.Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada empat puskesmas di wilayah Denpasar, Bali dengan jumlah sampel 240 pasien DM tipe 2. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner Summary of Diabetes Self Care Activities.Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa 81 (33,8%) responden tidak mengikuti perencanaan diet sesuai dengan yang dianjurkan, 118 (49,2%) responden setiap hari melakukan latihan fisik ringan, 174 (72,5%) responden melakukan pemeriksaan gula darah satu kali seminggu, 199 (82,9%) mengkonsumsi obat diabetes setiap hari dan 200 (83,3%) responden telah melakukan perawatan kaki setiap hari.Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan empat pilar utama diabetes sudah baik. Pelaksanaan pilar pertama diabetes yang belum baik dimungkinkan karena responden belum memahami pentingnya melaksanakan diet sesuai anjuran. Oleh sebab itu, sangat penting membuat model yang tepat untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kesadaran responden dalam melaksanakan pilar utama diabetes sehingga berdampak siginifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas hidup penderita. Kata kunci : diabetes melitus tipe 2, pilar utama diabetes ABSTRACT                Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease that is not curable but it is possible to be managed or controlled. In the context of DM management, patient awareness or self-discipline is needed to build and maintain the independence of patient compliance in implementing medication management. DM care management component consists of five main pillars which have become a guide for health practitioners. However, it should be a real evaluation to determine the success of the implementation. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the main pillars of diabetes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.               The design study was quantitative descriptive cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at four clinics in Denpasar, Bali with a sample size of 240 patients with diabetes mellitus type 2. The sampling method was done by using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities.               The results of data analysis showed that 81 (33.8%) of respondents did not follow the diet plan in accordance with the recommended, 118 (49.2%) of respondents each day doing light physical exercise, 174 (72.5%) of respondents do blood sugar tests one times a week, 199 (82.9%) taking diabetes medication every day, and 200 (83.3%) of respondents have been doing foot care every day.               This shows that the implementation of the four pillars of diabetes has been good. Implementation of the first pillar of diabetes are not well possible because the respondents do not understand the importance of implementing the diet proverly. Therefore, it is very important to allow the right model to improve motivation and awareness of the respondents in implementing the main pillars of diabetes which impacted significantly on improving the quality of life of patients. Keywords: diabetes mellitus type 2, the main pillars of diabetes

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berjudul Penerapan Strategi Mengingat Mnemonic untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengingat Mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Sari Mutiara Indonesia. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan dengan desain eksperimen kelompok eksperimen prestest-postest untuk mengetahui peranan metode chunking untuk peningkatan memori jangka pendek. Untuk mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan maka penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan dengan tiga tahapan. Masing-masing tahapan akan terdiri dari pertemuan pelatihan yang diberikan agar subyek penelitian benar-benar memahami metode chunking sebagai salah satu strategi untuk mengingat. Setiap akhir tahap akan diadakan evaluasi untuk mengetahui kemajuan dan semual permasalahan yang timbul.             Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang terdaftar di Program Studi Psikologi Universitas Sari Mutiara Indonesia yang berjumlah 60 orang. Adapu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan memori mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Sari Mutiara dan menunjang kemampuan mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Sari Mutiara dalam menguasai berbagai konsep psikologi selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan uji t tes diperoleh nilai p value 0.000 yang artinya ada hubungan Penerapan Strategi Mengingat Mnemonic untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengingat Mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Sari Mutiara Indonesia dengan metode chunking. Kata kunci : Mnemonic, Memori jangka pendek, eksperimen, psikologi kognitif.  ABSTRACTThis research is entitled Implementation Of Mnemonic Memorizing Strategy to Improve Memorizing Ability of USM-Indonesia Psychological Students. This research will be conducted with the experimental design of the prestest-posttest experimental group to determine the role of the chunking method for improving short-term memory. To achieve the desired goals, this research will be carried out in three stages. Each stage will consist of training meetings provided so that research subjects truly understand the chunking method as a strategy to remember. At the end of each stage an evaluation will be held to find out the progress and all the problems that arise. The research subjects were 60 students enrolled in the Sari Mutiara Indonesia University Psychology Study Program. Adapu, the purpose of this study was to improve the memory skills of the students of the Faculty of Psychology at Sari Mutiara University and to support the ability of the Psychology University Faculty of Psychology students to master various psychological concepts during the learning process. Abstract

Knowledge of HIV had been lacking among adolescents and adolescents are particularly vulnerable to HIV infection. Globally, the prevalence of HIV remains on the rise especially among adolescents who are at increased risk of infection. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of health promotion on HIV knowledge among the student of Catholic High School in Rantepao, Toraja Utara Sulawesi Selatan by Quasi Experimental. Fifty-nine students recruited from Catholic High School in Rantepao, Toraja Utara Sulawesi Selatan by simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using Dependent t-test and Multiple linear regression. The results indicated that after participating in health promotion, there was a significant improvement in HIV knowledge in the experimental group which was shown by significant difference in mean score of HIV knowledge before intervention (X12,68), after intervention ( X 28.86), p< 0.00. In addition, Multiple linear regression showed that health promotion was a significant effect in HIV knowledge (p, 0.07). This HIV health promotion appears to be effective in improving HIV knowledge among adolescents in Catholic High School in Rantepao, Sulawesi.

Abstract

Peran serta keluarga dalam perawatan penderita dengan Skizofrenia sangat penting terutama dalam mengantisipasi kekambuhan klien. Keluarga dan masyarakat terkadang memiliki cara pandang yang salah dalam mengupaya-kan pengobatan secara berkesinambungan bagi penderita skizophrenia. Pengobatan yang selayaknya bisa dilaksanakan secara teratur pada pelayanan kesehatan terdekat, malah menjadi beban keluarga ketika harus selalu berobat ke rumah sakit jiwa pusat. Padahal, pelayanan kepada pasien gangguan jiwa dilakukan dengan sistem pelayanan berjenjang dari fasilitas kesehatan primer seperti puskesmas hingga rumah sakit tingkat kabupaten. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan pelayanankesehatan jiwa di Puskemas oleh keluarga penderita skizofrenia. Jenis penelitian Deskriptip dengan pendekatanCross sectional.Subyek penelitian ini adalah keluarga pasien schizophrenia sebanyak63 orang dengan tehnik consecutive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner pemanfaatan pelayanan. Data dikumpulkan di poliklinik Rumah Sakit Jiwa provinsi Bali.  Hasil penelitian tentang pemanfaatan pelayanan kesehatan jiwa menunjukkan sebagian besar yaitu 33 orang (43,3%) kurang dalam memanfaatkan pelayanan di puskesmas. Kendala keluarga untuk memanfaatkan pelayanan kesehatan jiwa dipuskes-mas menunjukkan hasil sebagian besar yaitu 32 orang (50,8%) mengatakan di puskesmas tidak ada obat untuk pasien skizofrenia. Kondisi ini bisa disebab-kan karena kurangnya pengetahuan dan informasi kepada keluarga  tentang pelayanan khususnya pelayanan kesehatan jiwa yang ada dipuskesmas. Kata kunci: Pelayanan, Kesehatan Jiwa, Puskesmas
