Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research is 1) increasing the students? learning outcomes and 2) improving the students? learning motivation by applying Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research was conducted on class X RPL 2 SMK Negeri 1 Negara on the even semester, year 2018/2019, with total number of students 36. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that 1) the average student learning outcomes on the first cycle was 86,94, categorized as good, and the classical completeness was 100%, while on the second cycle, the average student learning outcomes was 85,07 , categorized as good,  and classical ketuntasan was 100%,  and 2) the average student learning motivation on the first cycle was 80,42, categorized as high. On the end of second cycle, the average student learning motivation was 84,94, categorized as high. The result showed that the PBL model was effective in improving Physics learning achievement and learning motivation of students of class X RPL 2 SMK Negeri 1 Negaraon the even semester, year 2018/2019.

Abstract

The article, entitled Analysis of the Language Style of Cosmetics Advertisements and Indonesian Language Drugs in Print Mass Media in Bali, aims to discuss the problem of how the assignment of each sentence in cosmetics advertisements and drugs in Indonesian on the print mass media specifically on commercial advertisements (commercial) , covering what kind of language style is used? In addition, it aims to contribute to the development, preservation and development of the Indonesian language. This paper uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was carried out using the literature review method. Methods and techniques for Presentation of Analysis Results, use formal and informal methods. Based on the analysis results found six kinds of language styles, namely (1) Climax, (2) Repetition, (3) Hyperbole, (4) Personification, (5) Epithet, and (6) Equation or Semile. This paper uses the theory of persuasive functions. The theory of the persuasive function of language is the theory used and it is possible to answer the problem in advertising as a discourse that cannot be separated from its main purpose, namely selling. The main function is predominantly utilized to support the main function of advertising, namely the persuasive function of language as already alluded to implicitly by some advertising researchers (see Hoed, 1992: 5; Leech, 1966: 26; Kasali, 1992: 9; Cook, 1992: 5; Asmah, 1984: 3). In this paper, two views are expressed regarding the theory of language functions, including Jakobson (1963) and Leech (1974). Jacobson's view (1963; in Welaga, 2000: 37-38) stated six kinds of language functions and included persuasive language functions with the term conative function as an expression of the wishes of the speaker directly or immediately carried out by the listener. In this case, language is used to indicate the involvement of the recipient's attention, and also to influence to do what the sender of the message suggests. The conative function is mainly characterized by the use of the pronouns "you" or "you all", and the use of command sentence forms. Noth (1990: 421) in his book Handbook of Semiotics also emphasizes that the six language functions that Jakobson conveys in the communication model are in advertisements. However, the conative function has more roles. Furthermore, it is said that the function of the phatic (phatic) as opening, maintaining relationships or contacts between speakers and listeners and the poetic function (phoetic) as encoding the message is also very prominent in advertising.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial interest is one's desire to start trying, create jobs according to their own will without coercion from others. Interest grows slowly in a person according to what is seen in his environment. The main goal of entrepreneurship is to create jobs for yourself, which will then have an impact on other job seekers. Growing interest requires a strong self-concept and a supportive family environment, especially in entrepreneurial activities. The tight competition in the world of work causes more unemployment in society. So to overcome this it is deemed necessary to foster interest in entrepreneurship. The study with the title "The influence of self-concept and family environment on New Student Entrepreneurial Interest" aims to find out: (1) To find out the significant effect of Self Concepts on New Student Entrepreneurial Interest in Economics Education Study Program FPIPS IKIP PGRI Bali, (2) To determine the effect Significant Family Environment on Entrepreneurial Interests of New Students in the FPIPS IKIP PGRI Bali Economic Education Study Program, and (3) To find out the significant influence of the Self-Concept and Family Environment together on New Student Entrepreneurial Interest in the Economic Study Program of FPIPS IKIP PGRI Bali. The data analysis technique used is two predictor linear regression, Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the results of the study are as follows: 1) Self-Concept (X1) has a positive and significant effect on Entrepreneurial Interest. This is evidenced by the value of t-count = 3.990> t-table = 2.00 and Sig. = 0,000 <0.05. 2) Family Environment (X2) has a positive and significant effect on Entrepreneurial Interest. This is evidenced by the value of t-count = 3.236> t-table = 2.00 and Sig. = 0.002 <0.05. 3) Self Concept (X1) and Family Environment (X2) simultaneously influence the Entrepreneurial Interest. This is evidenced by the calculated F-value = 34.561> F-table = 3.14 and Sig. = 0,000 <0.05. Based on the results of the analysis above, it is expected that lecturers and faculty leaders will motivate students more in entrepreneurial activities. This will have a positive impact on students. Students can study or start entrepreneurship as early as possible.

Abstract

Novel literary works that are present in the midst of society is one form of culture that presents about the natural state of the environment is quite good. With a 26-story storytelling, the author reveals a lot of the natural environment, it's just that his speech lacks poetic language, meaning that the style of language used is still ordinary, not much use of cliché languages ??like those read like in short stories and novels at times previous. Quite a lot of authors pour the values ??of local wisdom which of course there is a hidden education of people's lives. The nuance that is highlighted is the state of magening where people like to eat or drink wine. Thus the value of education is still relatively lacking. However, at least this author's work can be used as reference material for the development of research in the Anyar Bali literature as follows. Adding a wealth of reading material in the field of literature studies in the archipelago, especially in the form of literary novels, as a foundation for the community to imitate good behavior on the social values ??implicit in the Magening novel, opening opportunities for literary and literary researchers to continue this analysis so that it will have an impact positive for the addition of literary treasures.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is a warm conversation in the world of education. Learning media that are able to develop Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are inadequate. This study aims to develop learning media based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) to improve the mathematical communication skills of vocational students. This research is part of a larger study using development research as the method. The subjects of the study were 10th grade students of Wira Harapan Vocational School consisting of 36 students (19 male and 17 female) 2018/2019 academic year and mathematics subject teachers at Wira Harapan Vocational School. Data collected from questionnaires and observations during learning. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques and code based on the type of student and teacher responses. The results show that (a) the total student responses to the implementation of the HOTS-based learning media were 126 consisting of 80.56% positive responses and 19.44% negative responses. (b)) the total teacher response to the implementation of HOTS-based learning media is 37 which consists of 80% positive and 20% negative responses. Based on the results of data analysis of student and teacher responses to the implementation of instructional media, it can be concluded that students are helped to understand problems based on HOTS, are active in learning and students are able to prepare themselves to be ready and confident when facing HOTS question-based examinations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the contribution of initial knowledge to the BK learning outcomes of Undergraduate Guidance and Counseling students, (2) the contribution of resistance to the BK learning outcomes of S1 Guidance and Counseling students, and (3) the contribution of initial knowledge and resistance to the learning outcomes of BK Undergraduate Guidance and Counseling students. This research is a correlational study. This research was conducted in the Department of Guidance and Counseling S1 IKIP PGRI BALI. The samples in this study were 75 people, sampling was done using simple random sampling techniques. Data collection methods in the form of tests and questionnaires using a Likert scale. The data analysis method used is multiple regression. The results showed that (1) initial knowledge contributed to the BK learning outcomes of Undergraduate Guidance and Counseling students (r = 0.61; p <0.05 and t = 6.59; p <0.05). (2) unresponsiveness contributes to the BK learning outcomes of Undergraduate Guidance and Counseling students (r = 0.90; p <0.05 and t = 18.83; p <0.05)). (3) The initial knowledge and disadvantage contribute to the BK learning outcomes of Undergraduate Guidance and Counseling students (r = 0.92; p <0.05 and F = 204; p <0.05) and have an effective contribution of 85%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of curriculum management at SMK Werdhi Sila Kumara Silakarang in Singapadu Kaler Village. In this study the approach used is management-oriented evaluation approach (EBM) with the evaluation model is the CIPP model. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Based on the quantitative analysis conducted, it is known that the implementation of curriculum management from planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising is included in the very effective category. Through planning, the principal of SMK Werdhi Sila Kumara Silakarang together with the Curriculum Development Team compiled a curriculum program starting from the semester program, annual program, syllabus, Learning Implementation Plan, learning materials and learning media needed for one school year. While in organizing, the school prepares a curriculum that is relevant to national education goals and adapted to regional needs. These programs are then well introduced and implemented by teachers and students. In order for these programs to be implemented well, supervision and evaluation are carried out.

Abstract

Entering the globalization era, education in Indonesia must follow competitive changes. All fields experienced shifts and challenges including educational institutions. Educational institutions will continue to experience changes and developments following the rapid development of information technology due to the influence of the entry of globalization era. The global demand demands the world of education to always adjust the development of technology to efforts in improving the quality of education. Many problems in the world of education include those related to the quality of education, such as the quality of graduates, the quality of teaching, and the quality of professionalism and teacher performance. It is also inseparable from leadership management, limited funds, facilities and infrastructure, educational facilities and media, resources, tools and materials, school climate, educational environment, and support from relevant parties. The purpose of the study was to determine and analyze the effect of teacher competence on the effectiveness of learning at the Pharmacy Pharmacy at Saraswati Denpasar. Denpasar. Teacher competency t test results obtained a significance level of 0.048 which is smaller and a significance of 0.05 means that teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of Class X vocational pharmacy students in Denpasar. The results of this study were supported by the research. The results of the student discipline t test were obtained by obtaining a significance level of 0.004 which was smaller and significance = 0.05, meaning that student discipline had a positive and significant effect on the learning effectiveness of Class X students of SMK Saraswati Pharmacy Denpasar. The results of the t test of media facilities learning obtained significance level of 0.046 which is smaller and significance = 0.05 means the learning media means a positive and significant effect on learning effectiveness

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the progressive diffraction learning method assisted by LKS can increase the activeness and achievement of mathematics learning students of X MIPA 3 in Taman Rama Denpasar High School in learning mathematics in 2019/2020 academic year. This type of research is classroom action research. Activities undertaken are the application of progressive differential learning processes in which they are the object of research as well. Student analysis is the process of learning activities carried out descriptively. The grouping activities are based on the ideal mean and standard ideal deviation. The average value of students is 9.79 where student activity is still quite high and needs to be improved the average value of learning outcomes is 6.48 the ability of students to catch is 64.8% and student completeness. learning 20.6% mastery learning classical students under 85%. Can be categorized or categorized. In the second cycle, the average value of student learning activities was 16.8, an increase of 6.88 compared to the average value of student learning activities in the first cycle. The average value of student learning activities is 8021, the ability to capture (DS) is 80.1% and mastery learning (KB) is 85.7%. In the second cycle, the average value of learning outcomes, students' ability to capture, and completeness of students who study classically achieve criteria according to the stated curriculum. The application of progressive differentiation learning models assisted by LKS in mathematics learning can increase the activeness and learning achievement of students of Mathematics X MIPA 3 at Taman Rama Denpasar.

Abstract

This type of research is classroom action research. In this research, STAD type cooperative learning model is used. Research with a qualitative descriptive design with STAD type of cooperative learning model consists of two cycles including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA 5 in SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in the academic year 2017/2018, with a total of 40 students consisting of 19 male students and 21 female students. The object of the study was to improve chemistry learning achievement in students of class XI MIPA 5. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar Jalan Cambodia Number 9 Denpasar. Data collection in this study was carried out using test and non-test techniques. Based on the results of the research obtained in the first cycle showed of 40 students (1) the number of students whose value increased by 36 students (90%), and the value remained as many as 4 people (10%), (2) the number of students who have not completed as many as 5 people (12.5%), (3) the percentage increase in the average value of the class in learning to write exposition text by applying the STAD type cooperative learning model at initial reflection (59.56), cycle I (71.21), cycle II (81.72). The use of cooperative learning model type STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) can improve chemistry learning achievement grade XI MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar.
