Abstract

The Onion red (Allium cepa L.) is a horticultural commodity belonging to spice vegetables. Spices vegetables are much needed, especially as a complement to cooking spices enhance taste and enjoyment of cuisine. In addition to cooking spices, red onions can also be used as a traditional medicine that is beneficial to health. The use of dolomite lime is able to increase the pH of the soil to be ideal and the plant becomes healthy, then liquid organic fertilizer can increase crop production.. This study aims to analyze the influence of interaction and dolomite lime single factor and concentration of liquid borneo liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot crop (Allium cepa L.). The research was carried out at Pama Daya Taka Business Development Institute, Sungai Terik Village, Batu Sopang Subdistrict, Paser Regency. This study used two factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), the first factor was the Dolomite Lime treatment and the second factor was concentration Organic Fertilizer Liquid Cakra Borneo. Based on the results of the study showed that the treatment of lime dolomite and concentration of liquid organic fertilizers Cakra Borneo no significant effect on all parameters observed. While for interaction result between treatment of Lime of Dolomite and Dosage of Organic Fertilizer of Cakra Borneo Liquid have significant effect on leaf number parameter at age 3 MST. Keywords: Red onion, dosage, dolomite lime and POC Cakra Borneo

Abstract

This study aims to calculate the productivity cause the use of organic fertilizers, and the level of income and feasibility of farming, and to determine the potential waste that can be used as organic fertilizer and the cause of the lack of development of organic fertilizer use.The sample in this research is determined by nonprobability sampling that is purposive sampling. Respondents were determined by dividing into three criteria on each cultivated plant, 3 respondents for inorganic criteria, 3 respondents for mixed criteria, and 3 respondents for organic criteria. Total of respondents in this study is 45 respondents.The results showed that the productivity and income of farming by using organic fertilizer is still relatively lower than in the cultivation using inorganic fertilizer. The main factor causing low income from farming with the use of organic fertilizer is due to the market of organic products that are not yet available. Potential waste that is utilized for organic fertilizer in Loa Kulu District is quite abundant, such as from cow dung, buffalo, goat, chicken, and from rice straw. The causes of underdevelopment of organic fertilizers is a concern when using a little produced organic fertilizer, lack of  information about the use of organic fertilizer and the price is more expensive. Keywords :  Organic Fertilizer, Productivity, Farming, Income

Abstract

            The coastal and marine areas of North Penajam Paser Regency have the potential of very rich natural resources, one of which is seaweed. This study aims to determine the strategies used in the development of seaweed cultivation, especially in the area of Nipah-nipah Sub-district Penajat of North Paser district. This research was conducted in Penajam Coastal Zone of north Paser Regency starting from June to September 2017. The research method used field survey method by interviewing fishermen seaweed fisherman community and library searching. The analysis used is SWOT analysis conducted to know the strategy of development of seaweed in the future. This analysis is based on the logic that maximizes strength (Strennghs) and opportunities (Opprtunities, but simultaneously also minimizes Weaknesses and Treants.) The results show that there are four alternative strategies for the development of seaweed that can be recommended that is the SO strategy used is to take advantage of all the potential of sea owned to seaweed processing business, processing, applying appropriate methods, seeking greater market opportunities and utilize the source of family labor optimally, ST strategy used is to increase production by conducting seaweed cultivation on time and methods to avoid ais-ais disease and improve the knowledge and skills of seaweed farming at the farm level, WO Strategy used by increasing cooperation with research institutions and government to obtain disease resistant seeds, various capital sources increase ki nerja groups, WT Strategy that digunaka is utilizing government support and multiply follow counseling and or training seaweed finance. Keywords : Seaweed Cultivation, Penajam Coastal Zone, SWOT

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of various Tomato varieties and concentrations of AB Mix nutrition and the interaction on its growth and yield. The research used two factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), the first factor was Tomato varieties with three levels which are v1 = Gem F1, v2 = Tymoti, v3 = Lentana. And the second factor is the AB Mix Concentration consists of three levels n1 = 2.5 ml L-1, n2 = 5 ml L-1 , n3 = 7.5 ml L-1 . The result of the first factor are various varieties have a very significant effect on parameters plant height, fruit weight and number of harvested fruit. The result of the second factor are AB Mix concentration have a significant effect on the height parameter and fruit weight. And the result in interaction treatment showed that treatment v2n1 has the heaviest of harvested fruit than others. Keywords: Tomato variety, AB Mix nutrition, Wick hydroponic

Abstract

Red onion market integrated on Gerbang Raja and Loa Kulu Market Kutai Kartanegara Regency, was to determine red onion margin exsisting and to known market integrated between Gerbang Raja market and Loa Kulu market used correlation and determination coefficient.This research showed, average margin at Gerbang Raja market was Rp. 5.800, and Rp. 4.213 at Loa Kulu market. Both market have a weak relation, it is show by correlation coefficient r = 0,44803, wich is mean both market does not have any relation in puchace of source. Keywords : Integration market, Margin, Red onion

Abstract

This research was aim to know the effect using of composts and liquid organic fertilizer concentration toward the growth and yield of soybeans. This reasearch starts from April to July 2017, located Rempanga village, Kutai Kartanegara District.The study was arranged by randomized complete block design (RCBD) factorial 3 x 4 with 3 (three) replication. The first factor was compost doses with 3 levels i.e k0 = control (without using of compost), k1 = 15 t ha-1 (120 g plant-1), k2 = 30 t ha-1 (120 g plant-1). The second factor was the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer with 4 levels i.e. p0 = control (without using of liquid organic fertilizer), p1 = 20 mL L-1 water, p2 = 40 mL L-1 water, p1 = 60 mL L-1 water.The treatment of compost had no significant to the average of  number of planted pods and the number of empty pods per plant but significantly different in weight of crop seeds with the highest weight obtained at the k2 treatment (17,167 g).The treatment of concentration of liquid organic fertilized had no significant effect on the average of   number of empty pods and the number of empty pods per plant and weight of seeds. The highest weight obtained at the p3 treatment (15,222 g).The interaction between compost and a liquid organic fertilizer concentration had no significant to the average of   number of planted pods,     number of empty pods per plant and weight of seeds. The highest weights are obtained in the combination of k2p3 treatment (20,500 g).

Abstract

Kutai Kartanegara Regency is one of the districts in East Kalimantan, with an area of 27,263 km2. The district is divided into three zones based on the Mahakam river flow, namely the downstream (coastal), middle and upstream zones. In the upstream area, there are many large oil palm plantation companies, which are divided into several sub-districts. However, due to its location which is quite far from the central government, and inadequate road access, some areas in the upstream zone of Kutai Kartanegara are still lagging behind in terms of development from other zones.This study aims to see the extent of the development contribution provided by the existence of oil palm plantations in the upstream zone. The intended development is seen from physical buildings and community development in the area. In addition, this study will look at community perceptions of the existence of oil palm plantations and compare whether there are differences in perceptions in each sub-district of the research location.The results showed that in general palm oil companies contributed to the provision of public facilities in the upstream area of the Mahakam River (Muara Muntai, Muara Kaman, and Kembang Janggut Subdistricts) with diverse outputs in each village. For public perceptions it is still positive both in general and specifically towards changes in the surrounding environment, and there is no significant difference in perceptions between communities in each sub-district. To optimize the role of the company in development, it certainly needs to be supported by implementing technical policies at both the central and regional levels. Abstract

Lai is one of the duriogenealogy who have the potential of domestic and export markets are high enough to accompany the durian. Lai fruit is one of the tropical fruits that are now popular as a source of nutritious food and exotic fruit typical of Kutai Kartanegara. To be able to produce quality fruit crops of quality seeds are required of superior varieties and also professionally managed agribusiness farming. Because basically the concept of superior seed is a seed that comes from a merger between the rootstock and entris so as to form a new plant that is compact and has the advantage.This research was conducted in Batuah Village, in Loa Janan, that is Lai nursery business. This study aims to knowBreak Even Point (BEP), R/C ratio and demand function.The results of this study from the calculation of Break Even Point all respondents known that Lai nursery in Batuah Village in a state of profit because it has exceeded the point of breakeven. And the calculation of R / C Ratio at the nursery business in Batuah Village get the highest number that is 6,78 and the lowest 1,67.This indicates that the nursery business is profitable.The demand function is Y = 4263,84 -0,140X1 + 0,062 X2.The result showed that increasing price Lai seeds will be decreasing demand and increasing price Durian seeds  will be increasing demand of Lai seeds. Keywords: Nursery, Lai, BEP,Demand

Abstract

Doyo (Curculigo latifolia) which grows wild in nature is one of the important plants in East Borneo which was many benefit, one of them as as raw material of ulap doyo’s woven fabric. This research was aimed to perform domestication stages by looking at the initial vegetative growth process of doyo plants in one location. Doyo accession was obtained at 15 location points from 6 sub-districts (Tenggarong, Bangun City, Muara Wis, Anggana, Bongan and Jempang) which were then carried out domestically on experimental land in Bukit Biru Village, Tenggarong District. This research used a randomized block design with a single factor were doyo accession (6 accessions). Observation data were analyzed with F test (α=5%) and continued DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) using SAS v. 11.6. The results showed that the highest percentage of live doyo accession in polybags was obtained at Bongan accession (85.16%), while the lowest was obtained at Kota Bangun accession (32.42%). Meanwhile, when planted in the field of research, based on the results of variance showed that the treatment of accession had a significant and very significant effect on the parameters of height increase of plants at 1 and 2 month after planting (WAP), increase in stem diameter,  length  of  leaf  midrib,  leaf  stalk  length,  leaf length,  width leaves,  and the number of new leaves at 1-3 MAP, but not significantly different from the parameters of plant height increase at 3 MAP and number of tillers. The highest leaf length was obtained at Bongan accession, while the highest leaf width ang number of new leaves were obtained at Tenggarong accession. Keywords: Domestication, doyo accession, East Borneo

Abstract

Analysis on sugarcane farming in Bambanglipuro district, Bantul regency, special regency of Yogyakarta has been done to the difference of farming system and to analyze more profitable sugarcane farming between Joint Venture Sugarcane Society (TR.KSU), Partnership Sugarcane Society (TR.KMT), and Independent Sugarcane Society (TR. MAN) farmers.The basic method used is descriptive method and analysis so the analysis on sugarcane farming is worth the effort. Sampling location is at Bambanglipuro district, Bantul Regency with 60 samples taken consisting of 20 Joint Venture Sugarcane Society (TR.KSU) farmers, 20 Partnership Sugarcane Society (TR.KMT) farmers, and 20 Independent Sugarcane Society (TR. MAN) farmers. The result of the research shows that Venture Sugarcane Society (TR.KSU) farmers make profit Rp. 19.180.112/Ha on PC and Rp. 15.531.800/Ha on RC. Partnership Sugarcane Society (TR.KMT) farmers make profit Rp. 18.911.388/Ha on PC and Rp. 15.419.800/Ha on RC, and Independent Sugarcane Society (TR. MAN) farmers make profit Rp 22.983.188/Ha on PC and Rp. 17.985.710/Ha on RC.Value of R/C ratio sugarcane farming per Ha for TR.KSU, TR.KMT, and TR.MAN farmers is more than one. This shows that either PC or RC sugarcane farming is worth the effort.Keywords: Sugarcane farming analysis, society’s sugarcane, partnership, farming suitability
