Abstract

Lai is one of the duriogenealogy who have the potential of domestic and export markets are high enough to accompany the durian. Lai fruit is one of the tropical fruits that are now popular as a source of nutritious food and exotic fruit typical of Kutai Kartanegara. To be able to produce quality fruit crops of quality seeds are required of superior varieties and also professionally managed agribusiness farming. Because basically the concept of superior seed is a seed that comes from a merger between the rootstock and entris so as to form a new plant that is compact and has the advantage.This research was conducted in Batuah Village, in Loa Janan, that is Lai nursery business. This study aims to knowBreak Even Point (BEP), R/C ratio and demand function.The results of this study from the calculation of Break Even Point all respondents known that Lai nursery in Batuah Village in a state of profit because it has exceeded the point of breakeven. And the calculation of R / C Ratio at the nursery business in Batuah Village get the highest number that is 6,78 and the lowest 1,67.This indicates that the nursery business is profitable.The demand function is Y = 4263,84 -0,140X1 + 0,062 X2.The result showed that increasing price Lai seeds will be decreasing demand and increasing price Durian seeds  will be increasing demand of Lai seeds. Keywords: Nursery, Lai, BEP,Demand

Abstract

The aim of the resarch to obtainedphosphogypsum and liming rate affectUltisol properties and sugarcane performance in Gunung Madu Plantation, Lampung Tengah. Ultisol problems in aidity, Al-toxicity, low cation exchange capacity (CEC), and base saturation (BS) caused low yield of sugarcane. The experiment was arranged by completely randomized block design, with 12 treatment and 3 replicates of each treatment.Chemical nutrient status in soil dan nutrient leaf content and plant was observed each 2 month after phosphogypsum and lime application. Physical properties was observed 4 month after phosphogypsum and lime application. Sugarcane growth parameters were observed in each month after planting, biomass sample harvested in end of vegetative phase. The result of this study was showed that phosphogypsum and lime application increased soil pH,sulfur leaf content, aggregate stability, permeability, sugarcane performance and decreased Al toxicity.Keyword : soil amendment, calcium source, red yellow podzol, agronomic properties, sulfur.

Abstract

            The coastal and marine areas of North Penajam Paser Regency have the potential of very rich natural resources, one of which is seaweed. This study aims to determine the strategies used in the development of seaweed cultivation, especially in the area of Nipah-nipah Sub-district Penajat of North Paser district. This research was conducted in Penajam Coastal Zone of north Paser Regency starting from June to September 2017. The research method used field survey method by interviewing fishermen seaweed fisherman community and library searching. The analysis used is SWOT analysis conducted to know the strategy of development of seaweed in the future. This analysis is based on the logic that maximizes strength (Strennghs) and opportunities (Opprtunities, but simultaneously also minimizes Weaknesses and Treants.) The results show that there are four alternative strategies for the development of seaweed that can be recommended that is the SO strategy used is to take advantage of all the potential of sea owned to seaweed processing business, processing, applying appropriate methods, seeking greater market opportunities and utilize the source of family labor optimally, ST strategy used is to increase production by conducting seaweed cultivation on time and methods to avoid ais-ais disease and improve the knowledge and skills of seaweed farming at the farm level, WO Strategy used by increasing cooperation with research institutions and government to obtain disease resistant seeds, various capital sources increase ki nerja groups, WT Strategy that digunaka is utilizing government support and multiply follow counseling and or training seaweed finance. Keywords : Seaweed Cultivation, Penajam Coastal Zone, SWOT

Abstract

The objective of the research was to find out pasar malam impact to farming yield at Tenggarong district, by marketing chains, margins and distribution margins from the farming yield. Focus these farming yield was spinach, kale, water spinach, mustard and chili.Marketing chains of these farming yield through short chains marketing of nine percents, ninety percents through medium chains and one percents through long chains. Average margins of spinachs was Rp. 1.069,91,- water spinach Rp. 552,46,- kale Rp. 1.856,34,- mustard Rp. 3.099,57 and chili Rp. 19.548,88,-. Composition of margin distribution is marketing cost 74,63% and 25,36% profits.Key words: pasar malam, farming yield marketing and marketing chains

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan subsektor basis yang menjadi unggulan pada sektor pertanian di masing-masing Kecamatan dalam Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Penelitian ini menggunakan data Pendapatan Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara tahun 2009 sampai dengan tahun 2013 pada masing-masing kecamatan. Subsektor pertanian basis terbanyak di kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara adalah subsektor kehutanan dan perikanan. Rata-rata nilai LQ pada subsektor basis tersebut adalah LQ 1,06 dan LQ 1,10.Kata Kunci : Subsektor pertanian unggulan, Location Quotient (LQ).

Abstract

Doyo plants are expected to produce offspring or generations that are able to adapt well in a new growing environment. The generation of doyo accessions that managed to grow well in the new environment was then passed on as propagation material to produce the next generation so that a large number of plant propagation materials were obtained for large-scale cultivation. This study aims to observe the continued growth of doyo accessions as a result of domestication.  This  research consisted of two experiments. The first  experiment was to see the growth of tillers from 6 doyo accessions (Tenggarong, Kota Bangun, Muara Wis, Jempang, Bongan, Anggana). The second experiment was to see the growth of the first generation of doyo accessions from domestication. The planting material used was tillers of doyo accession originating from the first experiment grouped into 3 groups based on the age of the tillers: group 1 (0 - <3 months), group 2 (3 - <5 months), group 3 (5 - <7 months). Data in the first and second experiments were analyzed by the F-test (?=95%) and then tested further using the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) test using SAS v. 11.6 software. In the first experiment, the analysis showed that the treatment of accession had no significant effect on the number of tillers at 3 to 6 months after planting (MAP), but had a very significant effect at 12 MAP. The highest average number of tillers at 12 MAP obtained at Bongan accessions (9.75 tillers), but not significantly different from Kota Bangun accessions (6.11 tillers) and Jempang (6.67 tillers), while the lowest average number of tillers was obtained at Anggana accessions (1.57 tillers) but not significantly different from Muara Wis accessions (3.33 tillers). In the second experiment, the results of the analysis showed that the treatment of accession had no significant effect on increasing the diameter of the stem, increasing the length of the leaf, and increasing the number of leaves, but significantly affected the increase in plant height at 2 MAP. In general, it can be seen that seedlings that are still young (0 - <3 months) when used as planting material have a better percentage of life and growth compared to older seeds (3 - <5 months) and (5 - <7 months).

Abstract

The research aimed was to determine cost factors that affected to the revenue of sweet corn in Sebemban, MuaraWis district. Used cost theories, with observed variables lease for land area, seed, labor, fertilizer, and pesticide.These researched uses primary data obtained from farmers through direct interviews using questionnaires. Sampling technique using proportionate stratified random sampling method with sample number 57 farmers. The magnitude of cost affecting the revenue rate of sweet corn is analyzed by multiple regression analysis.The results showed the cost factors (land area, seed, labor, fertilizer, and pesticide) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on sweet corn revenue. Land and fertilizer have a positive and significant effect on sweet corn revenue, while seed, labor, and pesticide have no significant effect on sweet corn revenue.Keywords : Sweet corn, Cost factors, Revenue

Abstract

Research of application organic fertilizer of liquid cow dung on growth and yield of eggplant. The research purpose to recognize fertilizer application of liquid cow dung on growth and yield of eggplant gelatik and know some concentration of liquid organic fertilizer cow dung is best to growth and yield of plant eggplant gelatik. The research was conducted of Desember 2018-March 2019, in Pertamina KM 04 Road North Sangatta East Kutai Regency. The research design used was non factorial rondomized block repeated 5 times. The fertilizer (P) factor consists of 5 levels : P0 = control, P1 = 5 cc/liter of water/plant, P2 = 10 cc/liter of water/plant, P3 = 15 cc/liter of water/plant, P4 = 20 cc/liter of water/plant. The results showed that application of organic fertilizer liquid cow dung very significant to the parameter of plant height and the number of leaves age 30 HST, showed significant to 45 HST  and  the  weight  of  the  harvest.  But showed  no  significant  to  parameter  height and number of leaves age 15 HST and age of flawers 75%. Treatment of P2 showed the best result to parameter of fruti weight is 1,181 gram/plant.Key word :  POC, eggplant gelatik, cow dung

Abstract

Somatic embryogenesis is one of the important steps in the in vitro propagation and crop improvement of cassava. The experiment was aimed to induce the formation of somatic embryos from immature leaves, shoot tips, and petioles explants on eight types of embryogenic callus induction medium. The research consisted of four experiments, each using UJ 5, Jame-jame, Gajah, and Adira 4 genotypes as explants. The results showed that immature leaves and shoot tips cultured on the MS + 20 g L-1 sucrose + 8 mg L-1 2.4-D medium and MS + 20 g L-1 sucrose + 10 mg L-1 NAA medium showed the highest numberand percentage ofexplantsformingcallus, fastest initiation of callus, highestcallusgrowth,and highest diameter of callus.Key word : Cassava, 2.4-D, NAA, somatic embryogenesis

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence tricokompos and coconut water toward the result cauliflower research was conducted since May to August 2015, at agricultural landlongaparistreet maluhu village, Sub District Tenggarong, Kutai Kartanegara District, East Borneo Province.The research was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with analysis of factorial 4x4 with deuteronomy three times. first factor treatment is giving tricokompos (T) that consists of 4 level, which consist of t0 (without fertilizer), t1(6 kg swath-1), t2(12kg swath-1), t3 (18 kg swath-1), and secondary factor treatment are a gift from coconut water (A) that consists of 4 level that is a0 (without hormone), a1 (0,125 L swath-1), a2 (0,250 L swath-1), and a3(0,375 L swath-1).The research results show that the treatment tricokompos do not affect to the six parameters and influential real highly visible to the three parameters, while coconut water does not have real an effect on to crops all parameters. The highest result per hectare of yield t3a3treatment at 18,48 t ha-1.
