Abstract

This study aims to distinguish the risks perceived by the millennial generation and the risks perceived by baby boomer generations when transacting online. The number of samples used in this study was one hundred thirty-five respondents. Criteria for respondents are people who have done online transactions in the generation being studied. This study uses a discriminant analysis conducted by a study of three types of risk perceived by respondents, product risk, financial risk, and shipping risk. The result showed there are statistically significant differences in the risks perceived by the millennial generation and the baby boomer generation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the decision to choose Starbucks. The population in this study amounted to 395 respondents. The data analysis technique in this study is multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. Variables that influence the decision to choose Starbucks are cultural, social, personal and psychological. The result of the partial test and simultaneously stated that the cultural variables, social variables, personal variables, and psychological variables influence the decision to choose Starbucks.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the priority of customer requirements and technical responses for restaurants using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) with the integration of the Kano Model. The data is collected through direct observations, interviews, and surveying of 150 respondents who are customers of restaurant B in Bandung. The data is analyzed by combining Kano Model with QFD in helping to build the first matrix in the House of Quality, namely the customer input matrix. This matrix together with other matrices forms a complete building of House of Quality. The findings show that there are six service attributes in a 'must-be' category. The two technical responses that should be prioritized for improvement because their importance level is above average are improvement of the facilities and maintenance of the facilities for the consumers. The two most highlighted facilities include a place of worship that is comfortable and clean, and a larger parking area.

Abstract

The research entitled Student Analysis of Differences Perceptions on Professionalism of Lecturer in Palembang. The purpose of this research is to know the perception of student to professionalism of lecturer in vocational and academic education. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires using 5 Likert scales. Sampling using purposive sampling. Analytical technique used is Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results obtained in this study is there are significant student perception to professionalism of the lecturers, in terms of knowledge, skill and personality. The implication of this research is to be effective, lecturers need a combination of professional knowledge and specialized skills as well as their own personal qualities and experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to make a description of attractions to tourist destinations in North Sumatra. Sharia area is in the object of observation in West Sumatra province. The research subject is a tourist destination in the city. Sharia description analysis method (comparing between reality and expectations) the potential of sharia tourism is carried out through, a tourism manager survey of tourists on visits to tourism sites, and local government. This research was conducted by spreading, questionnaire, interview, and observation. The method of analyzing of data-fired different methods than Levene’s test for equality of SPSS variances and software. The result of the research proved that all tourists’ variables attraction, amanitas, accessibility and ancillary shows of the values were lower than the hope Levene’s Test for equality of variances proved which are considerable.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that impact liquidity risk. The sample used in this research is a banking sector that is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period 2008-2017. Independent variable in this research bank size, deposits, profitability, cost of funds, asset quality, capital adequacy ratio, economic cycle, and inflation and the dependent variable is liquidity risk. The amount of the sample of the research amounted to 25 banking sector, by using purposive sampling. The result of this research indicates that bank size, profitability, cost of funds, and asset quality have a negative effect on liquidity risk, while deposits, capital adequacy ratio, economic cycle, and inflation have no impact on liquidity risk. The results of this study are expected to be used as a reference for bank managers and investors in looking at the factors that affect the liquidity risk in the banking industry.

Abstract

This study aims to examine employee commitment to improving work performance with remuneration as a mediator variable. The research objects discussed are; 1) Employee commitment, 2) Work performance and 3) Remuneration. The target of the study was 164 Civil Servants at the University of Jambi. The results showed that employee commitment has a greater influence on work performance if mediated by remuneration rather than the direct influence of employee commitment on work performance. This can be interpreted that remuneration which is a performance allowance to employees has a large role as a mediator on employee commitment which shows employee involvement to reach the goal so that it can improve work output which is the achievement of work performance.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of brand image, perceived value, and loyalty programs on satisfaction and the effect of satisfaction with customer advocacy on Garuda Indonesia airways customers. The population of this study was individuals who had used Garuda Indonesia airways by distributing questionnaires as many as 200 samples. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis using PLS-SEM. The results of this study indicate that brand image, perceived value, and loyalty programs have a positive effect on satisfaction and satisfaction have a positive effect on customer advocacy. This research has succeeded in contributing to the airline industry regarding the importance of increasing band image, perceived value and organizing loyalty programs and also forming customer advocacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the green CSR  of innovation performance  with firms approval variables  and public visibility   can support moderating the relationship of green CSR  and innovation. The research sample was 33 manufacturing companies. The results showed that the  green CSR has a positive and significant effect on innovation . Also, the company approval variable has been proven to moderate the direction of a positive relationship between green CSR and innovation . The results also prove that public visibility is proven to moderate the direction of the negative relationship between green CSR and performance. This study provide information that shows great concern for the environment; it will increase the company in making changes through innovation activities. Also, the higher the company's approval and public visibility, the company will get support from various stakeholders to run the firms. The level of company concern for CSR activities will be a misjudgment for investors.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of social capital which results from social interaction within a horizontal industrial district on the attitude-related aspects of internal and external strategic adaptability. Such foreseen effects are studied from interaction of three dimensions of social capital which occurs indirectly through entrepreneurial behavior and social knowledge exchange. Research data were taken from 450 metal craftsmen in the Tegal municipality and Tegal regency, Central Java, Indonesia. This study reveals that entrepreneurial behavior and social knowledge exchange, which conflicting in nature, have the effects on the internal strategic adaptability, but only entrepreneurial behavior effect the external strategic adaptabilty. The study also reveals that the interaction of two dimensions of social capital have the effects on entrepreneurial behavior and social knowledge exchange due to it was not enough evidence that relational embeddedness act as a social capital which able to strengthen strong ties among entrepreneurs.
