Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship pedagogical professional competence of teachers in the learning process of Social Studies, knowing the attitude and behavior of teachers in teaching Social Studies in school and know the social competence of teachers related to the learning activities of Social Studies. This study used qualitative method in order to get a more in depth data through research informants. Source of the data obtained is by using interviews, observation, and literature. Sources of data in this study came from key informants, there are the head of the SMPN 119 Jakarta, students of SMPN 119 Jakarta and one of the teachers who teach in SMPN 119 Jakarta, while the core informants are two Social Studies teachers in SMPN 119 Jakarta. The results of this study conclude there is a linkage between pedagogical competence with professional competence of Social Studies teachers. Although Social Studies teachers experiencing barriers to the delivery and mastery of the material in the classroom so that teachers have the initiative to learn the material and adapt instructional media (power point) will be presented and add a reference from various sources as well as teachers of Social Studies also uses two-way learning namely the relationship of interaction and communication between teachers and students in order to create active learning. Social Studies teachers applying the attitudes and behaviors of discipline, responsibility, tolerance, mutual help also directly taught by teachers through direct interaction and real actions of the school environment. Social competence of Social Studies teachers in terms of interaction and communication that teachers of Social Studies taking place with fellow teachers, students and school committee.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the use of learning media Prezi affect social studies learning results. This research done in the SMP 150 Jakarta with a sample of the class VIII Research samples taken by purposive random sampling with random sampling but with specific considerations. The research method used is a quasi experimental method is to know the influence of the treatment (treatment) that is done in the form of the use of learning media Prezi on the outcome of the Social Studies learning. Data collection techniques by doing the initial test (pretest) and test the end (posttest). After the collected data the next step test analysis prerequisites continued with the hypothesis test. Based on the analysis of the end of that has been done with test normalitas using test homogenitas liliefors tests and with using the fisher test shows that the two samples from the population that berdistribusi normal and homogeneous. The research results showed that the value is greater than ttabel thitung (3,746 > 1,997) on KD 6.3 control of Social Deviance and that the value is greater than ttabel thitung (3,043 > 1,997) which means the hypothesis Ha accepted. The average grade student learning outcomes experiment the use of learning media prezi higher compared with an average of the results of learning control classes using powerpoint. This can be seen from the number of students who are interested and active in the learning process after given treatment by using media Prezi so that the learning results obtained both. The conclusion of this research is the use of learning media Prezi have a significant influence on the outcome of the Social Studies learning on the students of class VIII in the SMP 150 Jakarta.

Abstract

The observation aims to investigate the implementation of strategy used by the teacher at SMPN 97 East Jakarta. This observatition held on January until June 2016.  The methods used qualitative method with interview and observation techniques. The focus of this observation is a strategy of learning used by teacher at SMPN 97 East Jakarta. The object of this observation is a learning strategy that covers lesson plans, syllabus and RPP, media, methods, and evaluation. Instrument of this observation used the implementation table of learning in classroom, interview teachers and students table, and the researcher themselves. The result of this observation is there are used three types of learning strategy: direct learning strategy, discussions learning strategy, and contextual learning strategies. Syllabus and RPP used mostly adopted from Dinas Pendidikan. The media of learning most commonly used are textbooks and worksheets. Then, for the evaluation carried out orally and write. In addition, the supporting factors in learning IPS most commonly used is the slide power point and the internet networking, while the inhibiting factors that are often found is the lack of interest and motivation of students to learn the lessons IPS.

Abstract

This research aims to know how the form of communication to overcome constraints vocabulary on the slow learner students in learning, the communication barriers in learning, as well as efforts by the teacher so that the learning was communicative in SMP Budi Waluyo South Jakarta class VIII. This research uses qualitative methods with the technique of data collection in the form of the technique of observation, interview, and documentation. Analysis of the data using the model of Miles and Huberman. The results of this research is verbal communication consists of oral elements with the Bible every day without language, the connotation and scientific, while writing with notes and memos that required schools. Nonverbal using the expression on his face when happy sad, anger, fear, shame, and interested in a matter. Movement of the body as to explain a form of objects, pointed toward the, reveals what difficult students say. While the touch of namely taps the shoulder to make students focus back on the lessons, touching the head and shoulders when it is advised, embrace and appoint if asked the students to be active to the front of the class. In learning found the communication barriers that there are in themselves the students are often dreaming in learning, less confident and less interested in the lessons according to the students difficult. The obstacles that there are from outside of the students such as the election of the appropriate words with the ability of students and the lack of facilities to support the lesson. Teachers attempt to create the learning atmosphere communicative through the question & answer, and make a game of learning. Using a simple learning media and multimedia like bringing the novel, music, appliance painting, pictures and videos learning, singing by changing the lyrics to matter and samosa, funny language learning. And give the touch of compassion as motivation and advice.

Abstract

This research using a qualitative approach to data get a deeper by digging to informants research. Source of the data obtained by using observations, observation involved, interview, documentation and the study of literature. Data collected from September 2015 until April 2016. Data analysis used in processing the data consisting of the reduction of the data, display data or presentation of data, and withdrawal of the conclusions. The results showed that in learning had been conducted three aspects from of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The process has worked very well so as to produce the purpose of education life skill expected. In addition, the impact of seen by researchers during the survey last the economic impact seen economic development of life lessons skill at Sanggar Ciliwung Merdeka. The impact of education seen the result of learning life skill at Sanggar Ciliwung Merdeka produce students can use of the study by means of into teaching at sanggar or regular public schools. The impact of social interaction seen social relations more positive of life lessons skill at Sanggar Ciliwung Merdeka. This evident from the community cooperation marginal Bukit Duri and the sanggar to make the public market which aims to refuse eviction and strengthen relationship between residents.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the learning process of IPS with a method of showing off MASTER, Depok, West Java. Method used in this research is qualitative method. The data source comes from primary and secondary data. Technique of data collecting done through observation, interview, and documentation. Observation is done by viewing, observing, and recording IPS learning process with show method in class VIII. Interviews were conducted with the principal, IPS school tutor MASTER and MASTER school students. Documentation is done by plowing the image in the form of photos related to the research. The results of this study indicate that the method of showing in the MASTER school, by way of conditioning the class in the learning that is in the plane. The method of showing off consists of a collecting stage, flying and joy. The conclusion of this research is that the method of showing in IPS learning in MASTER's school has been effective. Teacher becomes a good facilitator. Teachers use methods of showing that are able to attract students' interest, attention and responses in learning. Students have an interest in the method of showing. Student interest in the method of performance makes the students' learning achievement increases.

Abstract

This This research purpose to: (1) the causes of the Benteng China community internalizing cultural values in Chinatown, Tangerang Old Market, (2) studying the process of internalizing the cultural values of Chinese people in modernization in Chinatown, Tangerang Old Market , (3) describe the interpretation of Chinese society towards the process of internalizing cultural values. This study uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study, namely 4 Benteng Chinese people, 2 local people, and 2 Chinese Benteng families each consisting of the first family with a father and 2 children, a second family with a father and 1 child. The focus of this reseach includes: the process of internalizing cultural values ​​in the Chinese Citadel community. The technique of data collection is done by interviews, and documentation. The method used in data analysis is data reduction, data display, and reduction of conclusions. The results showed: (1) this area is a region with unique interactions, with two different dimensions of society that are able to realize high performance, (2) the process of internalizing the Benteng Chinese cultural values ​​is carried out by an approach method supported by conducive social environment conditions and also the teacher of the parents' (Hao) devotion, (3) the interpretation of the child in the process of internalizing values live up to values ​​and actualize Chinese Fortress cultural values.
