Al Mishbah Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi is an academic peer-reviewed journal that publishes the latest issues in the field of dawah and communication, including areas of dawah discourse, such as Islamic counseling and the development of Islamic societies. Since 2012, the journal has been published regularly twice in one year June and December. The primary audience of Al Mishbah Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi is academics, students, practitioners, and those who have an interest in the field of dawah and communication.

One of the da'wah in Indonesia is Islamic educational institutions, namely Islamic boarding schools which consistently carry out their da'wah activities by shaping the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of students in accordance with the guidance of Islamic teachings. The existence of An Anahdlah Islamic Boarding School in the midst of the people of Makassar City is very strategic for the development of Islamic da'wah, especially in urban communities that have been built by modernization. By maintaining the diversity of traditions as one of the teaching values, Islamic Boarding School An Nahdlah has challenges in carrying out Islamic da'wah.

Partisipasi aktif masyarakat merupakan bagian terpenting untuk menciptakan model pembangunan yang bertumpu pada masyarakat (community based development) dengan melakukan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Fenomena dan perkembangan kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat telah mengantarkan pada beragam model yang dilakukan oleh pelaku pembangunan, antara lain dilakukan oleh Pasar Papringan sebagai sebuah rural creative hubs di Kabupaten Temanggung.Dalam mengkomunikasikan gerakan revitalisasi desanya, pasar papringan memanfaatkan strategi komunikasi pemberdayaan melalui digital place storytelling. Komunikasi pemberdayaan melalui Storytelling merupakan alat strategis untuk meningkatkan reputasi sebuah tempat ketika ingin menjalin sebuah ikatan dengan stakeholdernya dan menghasilkan peluang ekonomi di era digital. Melalui media digital, masyarakat terdorong untuk bercerita tentang produk dan saling berbagi pengalaman. Pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi komunikasi pemberdayaan melalui model Manajemen Place storytelling yang mengintegrasikan ilmu komunikasi, manajemen pemasaran sebuah tempat dan pemberdayaan masyarakat, sehingga akan menciptakan keterlibatan para stakeholder dalam proses pemberdayaan masyarakat ekonomi kreatif pedesaan melalui rural creative hubs. Manajemen Place storytelling yang biasa diterapkan pada konsep corporate storytelling akan digunakan sebagai kerangka kerja. Sebagai hasilnya, penelitian ini menyajikan wawasan penting tentang model digital place storytelling dalam strategi komunikasi pemberdayaan untuk menciptakan hubungan dan keterlibatan dari perspektif pengelola sebuah tempat.

This paper discusses students’ perception on hoax postings on son social media sites. The focus of the study is to find out how students' of IAIN Palu perceive hoax dissemination on social media. This research is a qualitative study. In collecting data researchers used in-depth interview methods, observations, and documents. The subjects of this study are students majoring in Islamic Communication and Broadcasting starting from second semester two to the eight semester. The results of this study indicate that students have different perceptions on hoax dissemination, where some students realize that it is important to read, and examine carefully information or news received from social media sites, so that they can find out about the authenticity of the news or information, and it is not wise to share news that is not yet known to be true, and there are also some students who are actually involved in spreading hoaks due to trial and error.

There are many forms of da'wah that humans can do to others. Da'wah is no longer standing in front of the pulpit but da'wah can be done at any time using different media. One of the da'wah that can be done by using memes. The researcher analyzed the da'wah in the memes on the fanspage of Islamic da'wah memes. The research method in this research is qualitative using semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes. The source of the research is the memes on the fanspage of Islamic da'wah memes posted in January 2021 as many as 9 posts. The results of this study are that the meme illustrations used by Islamic da'wah meme accounts have an interest in spreading da'wah messages and providing lessons to the public with a unique and creative display of memes that contain Islamic teachings.

This study is related to the problem of the da’wah approach through community economic empowerment based on local wisdom with the object of research in the Bomba Batik craftsman community, Kamonji ward; (1) how is community empowerment based on local wisdom? (2) How can community economic empowerment be called a da’wah approach? The research used a descriptive qualitative approach and data analysis used a da’wah science and empowerment approach.Community empowerment is one form of Islamic da'wah approach. Because there are several models of social transformation that community empowerment has, namely; (1) Direct action transformation, (2) transformation collective action, (3) communal collaboration and (4) forming a market. Community economic empowerment based on local wisdom means empowerment based on wisdom values that are born from the community itself so that the products produced are responded positively by the wider community.

Pencak Silat Pagar Nusa has twelve movements in the opening greeting which have their own meaning and purpose in each movement. The whole movement is aimed at conveying the message of da'wah to every Pagar Nusa santri so that it can be practiced so that it can be useful for the society an to each other. This study uses the semiotic theory of Ferdinand De Saussure which explains that a sign is something in a physical form that can be seen and heard which usually refers to an object or aspect of reality to be communicated. Saussure also revealed that the signifier and the signified are a unity that are interrelated and cannot be separated. The results of this study indicate that the opening greeting movement from Pagar Nusa is a da'wah that is implied in every movement that contains the practice of Ahlussunah wal jama'ah from Nahdlatul Ulama'. Thus this study can be used as a reference to indentified a da’wah on other pencak silat movement

One way to get closer to Allah is through dhikr. Dhikr may let the mind calm and the heart becomes peaceful. One of the islamic preachers who uses dhikr as his da'wah media is Gus Miek, the son of the great cleric of the Al-Falaah Ploso Islamic boarding school in Kediri, namely KH. Djazuli Uthman. The dhikr media that was initiated by Gus Miek which is still eloquently enlivened is dhikrul ghofilin. The purpose of this study is to explain how dhikrul ghofilin is a media for Gus Miek's da'wah. To get the results of this study, the researcher uses a qualitative method and literature review as the source of the study. The results of this study state that Gus Miek in establishing dhikrul ghofilin as his da'wah media was very successful in attracting Mad'u from all society, the ordinary people, the clerics to the sinners, although there were previously twists and turns that happened because of the controversial founder. Da'wah through mass communication such as that done by Quraish Shihab through Najwa Shihab's Youtube channel has attracted attention so that many viewers who saw this show reached more than one million. There must be a mass communication effect in the da'wah. This study examines the extent of the effect of mass communication that is formed on the audience who watch this da'wah program. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive type, the primary data source is the Najwa Shihab Youtube channel, the data collection technique is through documentation, namely from the Quraish Shihab Youtube propaganda video about Wasathiyyah Islam, Islam in the middle. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model. The findings in this study are the effect of mass communication with the process formed through prosocial cognitive, there is an image formed on Quraish Shihab and there is also an affective effect of mass communication with the process formed because of the image formed on the information or knowledge possessed of certain objects and also formed from cognitive schema processes

The Covid-19 pandemic has hit many countries around the world. Almost all activities have been limited with the aim of preventing the corona virus from spreading, one of which has felt the impact is educational activities. Since 2019 until today, Indonesia has carried out an online learning process. With online learning, it opens our thinking horizons for the enormous potential of information and communication technology (internet) which previously was not used optimally in various lines of life, especially in the field of education, without being limited by space and time, educational activities can be carried out anywhere and anytime. In addition, while there is no certainty when this pandemic will end, strong learning is an absolute necessity that must be met by all Indonesian people.

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan tuturan pada siswa-siswi. Penelitian pada analisis kata serapan dan istilah asing pada tuturan siswa menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti mengambil data penelitian ini pada tuturan siswa. berupa wujud kosakata serapan, wujud kosa kata istilah asing. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah data berupa tuturan siswa. Proses pengumpulan data yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dalam menganalisis tuturan siswa tersebut menggunakan teknik simak, teknik rekam, teknik catat. Instrument penelitian ini yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar korpus data yang terdiri atas korpus data wujud kosakata serapan, korpus data wujud kosakata istilah asing. Tahap menganalisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara, 1.Mentanskripsikan data,2.Mereduksi data, 3.Mengklasifikasikan data, 4.mendeskripsikan data, dan 5.Menyimpulkan data. Dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh hasil tuturan yang berupa kosakata serapan sebanyak 11 Data, kosakata istilah asing sebanyak 10 Data. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan referensi bagi peneliti selanjutnya yang akan melakukan penelitian mengenai kata serapan dan istilah asing, khususnya kata asing dari berbagai bahasa sebagaimana layaknya yang dialami manusia dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bermasyarakat bahasa selalu mengalami perkembangan
