Abstract

Nipa (Nypa fruticans Wurmb) is a non wood lignosellulosic materials that potential as raw material ofcomposite board. One of disadvantage of the nipa fronds was contains are very high extractives and inorganicsubstances. The presence of high content of extractives in raw material of particle board potentially be an obstacle inthe process of gluing the composite board. The existing of extractive substances on the surface of the compositeboard raw materials contribute to make the bonding process is not going well. On the other side, the utilization ofnatural binder for non wood composite is still limited. This research focused to investigated the effects of extractivesubtances for bonding performance of natural binder such as citric acid for nipa fronds particleboard. The particlesscreened passed through aperture sizes of 10 mesh and treated with three condition (non extraction, hot waterextraction and n-hexana extraction) were used as materials in this research. Addition of natural binder of 10% basedon air dried particles was done and pressing temperature was set at 180ºC under a pressure of 3,6 MPa during 10minutes. The physics and mechanics properties of particleboard was tested by standard JIS A 5908:2003. Theresults showed that the extractiction treatments for raw material affects on the properties of the particleboards. Hotwater extraction treatment was able to give the best results. The properties of particleboard was density 0.84 g.cm-3;moisture content 7.44%; thickness swelling 1,12%; water absorption 21,83%; surface roughness 7.57 ?m; internalbonding 0.49 MPa; modulus of rupture 10.42 MPa and modulus of elasticity 3.65 GPa. All of the properties of nipafronds particleboard meet most of the standards JIS A 5908:2003.Keywords: Hot water extraction, n-hexane extraction, nipa frond particleboard, natural binder, citric acid.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effectivity of snakehead (Channa micropeltes) gel extract on the burns healing ofrat (Mus musculus). It was carried out for 4 months, September 2018 to January 2019. The study employed anexperimental method of Complete Randomized Design with 4 treatmnets and 3 replications. Treatment A wascontrol, B used 1.5% gel extract of C. micropeltes, C used 3 %, and D used 4.5%, respectively. Results revealed thatin day-4, 8 and 12 the administration of gel extract of C. micropeltes gave significant effect on the burns healing of rat(Mus musculus) (Fcalc.> Ftab., 0.05).Keywords : gel extract, Channa micropeltes, rat Mus musculus, burns healing

Abstract

Cases of the coronavirus pandemic in Indonesia are increasing and spreading throughout Indonesia, including the Tanjung Pinang urban village, Palangka Raya. This area is one of the areas that have quite high confirmed casualties, so one of the ways used to overcome the impact of the widespread of the Coronavirus is to clean hands regularly using hand sanitizer containing alcohol or washing hands with soap. and running water. Some hand sanitizer preparations can be found on the market by using it quite simply and quickly, namely by dropping it on the palm of the hand, then flattening it on the surface of the hand. However, it usually contains a lot of alcohol and antiseptics in the form of synthetic chemicals which are relatively expensive and often cause skin health problems, for example, dry skin (decrease in normal skin moisture). Therefore, it is necessary to look for an antiseptic from natural ingredients that are relatively cheaper, safe, effective, and easy to obtain, one of the examples is betel and orange leaves. Natural hand sanitizers themselves have many advantages, including being an alternative for people who have allergies or are sensitive to chemicals; the material is very easy to get; little/cheap capital; and it doesn't take a lot of time in the manufacturing process. Selection of betel leaf as the main ingredient in natural hand sanitizers because betel leaves contain antiseptic properties that can kill germs. The addition of lime juice has a function as a natural preservative that is high in antioxidants. Providing education to community groups in Tanjung Pinang village, Pahandut district, aims to help housewives in utilizing one of the family medicinal plants (TOGA) as well as helping to provide easy and inexpensive solutions to get hand sanitizers which are currently the target of all people due to the Covid-pandemic. 19. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of long soaking soybeans and rice flour proportion of the N amino levels and organoleptic properties of soybean tempeh. Experimental design used in this research is randomized factorial design with the first factor that is long soaking 4, 8, 12, and 16 hours and the second factor is the proportion of rice flour, 3, 6, and 9 gram/1000 grams of soybean, each treatment is repeated 4 (four) times. The results showed that treatment of long soaking gives significant effect on pH soybean tempeh, moisture content, N-amino, the number of lactic acid bacteria, and organoleptic texture, taste, and smell. While the proportion of rice flour treatment significantly effect the water content tempeh, and their interaction had no significant effect on any parameters tested. The best treatment for the manufacture of soybean tempeh is on a long soaking 8 hours and the proportion of rice flour 6 gram/1000 grams of Soybean materials. Abstract

Changes in land use are one of the factors that affect the decline in soil physical properties. The occurs due to differences in vegetation characteristics, canopy density, and thickness of the canopy cover. This study tries to make an effort to explore the physical nature of the soil in several land use, with different slopes of the land. The research location is in Kurun District, Gunung Mas Regency. The study started from May to November 2020. The results showed that land use affected the physical properties of the soil on the land. The physical properties of soil in forests are better than plantations that have lower levels of organic matter, higher content weight, lesser percent clay, higher percent dust which makes the soil more easily eroded. Abstract

This research was conduct to see the effect of the legality of hutan adat in Pilang Village Jabiren Raya Subdistrict Pulang Pisau District after the government inaugurated as a hutan adat on its preservation and to examine the factors that influence its sustainability and destruction. The design used in this research is descriptive qualitative with the purposive sampling method. To support the credibility in this study uses the data triangulation method. Based on data collection and data analysis carried out, it's finding that the legality of the communal rights of hutan adat on Barasak island shows that the community has awareness in maintaining and preserving hutan adat. Some of the factors behind the people's knowledge in protecting hutan adat include: because hutan adat themselves have benefits for the survival of indigenous, social, religious, economic, and cultural communities. For these reasons, the existence of hutan adat is still maintained and protected by the surrounding community. Keywords: hutan adat, legality, communal rights

Abstract

This study aims to determine the genetic correlation of resin yield to growth (height, diameter and branch-free height) in three sub-lines of the progeny test Pinus merkusii. The research was conducted on the 11-year-old P. merkusii with high resin yield half-sib, using an Incomplete Block with a Row Column Design sub-line system, namely sub-lines (KBS Sumedang, KBS Jember, and East Java). The genetic correlation between resin yield with height, diameter and free-branch height generally has a relatively small value. The resin yield with diameter growth in the sub-line of KBS Jember has a positive correlation and is moderate (0.526), but this is different in the genetic correlation of resin yield with moderate branch-free height but negative (-0.498). In the sub-line of East Java, the correlation of resin yield characteristic with diameter growth was moderate but negative (-0.434). Further selection in the Jember KBS sub-line could be aimed at wood and resin yield, however for the Sumedang and East Java KBS sub-lines, further selection was only intended for resin yield. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun sistem data base yang tersaji dalam format spasial berupa peta zona agroekologi, peta peruntukkan lahan, peta kemampuan lahan dan format tabular berupa sistem database biofisik lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengacu pada konsep evaluasi lahan yaitu melalui pendekatan pencocokan (matching) antara karakteristik lahan dan iklim dengan persyaratan tumbuh tanaman atau kelompok tanaman Sistem pakar yaitu program Land Use dan teknologi sistem informasi geografis (GIS) diaplikasikan untuk proses interpretasi data pada evaluasi lahan dan mendelineasi batas-batas wilayah homogen yang berorientasikan geografis bumi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di wilayah Kabupaten Pulang Pisau seluas 1.108.972 Ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan sistem zona agroekologi, wilayah Kabupaten Pulang Pisau terbagi menjadi beberapa zona dengan masing-masing sistem zonasinya yaitu zona III untuk agroforestry (44.130 Ha); zona IV.1 untuk tanaman pangan lahan basah (262.251 Ha); zona VI untuk hortikultura (157.625 Ha), zona V2 untuk kehutanan (288.076 Ha), zona VI untuk kelutanan (11.761 Ha); dan zona III untuk kehutanan (345,129 Ha). Peruntukkan Lahan berdasarkan sistem zona agroekologi terdiri dari kawasan perkebunan (201.755 Ha); kawasan pertanian tanaman pangan (262.251 Ha); dan kawasan kehutanan (644.966 Ha) Berdasarkan dari sem rockologi Kabupaten Pulang Pisau, terdapat 4 kelas kemampuan lahan ak wilayah ini yaitu kelas 1, II, V. dan VII. Semua informasi peta yang dihasilkan dapat digunakan untuk kepentingan perencanaan wilayah dan pemanfaatan laan berdasarkan kesesuaian dan kemampuan lahan.

Abstract

Village-owned enterprises have functioned as social and commercial institutions. BUMDes, as a legal entity, is formed based on the prevailing laws and regulations and must empower the community to improve welfare and independence according to the potential of each village. The research objective was to determine the effect of farmer participation, program effectiveness, and BUMDes contribution to the economic empowerment of farmers in Tanjungharjo Village, Kapas District, Bojonegoro Regency. This research used qualitative data with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The results showed that farmer participation did not have a significant effect on empowerment. In contrast, the effectiveness of the program and the contribution of BUMDes had a substantial impact on the economic empowerment of farmers in Tanjungharjo Village. Therefore, farmer participation must be increased to achieve farmer welfare and independence

Abstract

The factors that influence the production of pine (Pinus mersuii) resin are an essential part of determining the behavior of resin productivity. This study aims to assess the effect of age, diameter, and number of quaree on the productivity of pine resin. The sample was taken on pine stands aged 17 years and 21 years. At each age, we choose three people of resin tapper. Twenty samples of the trees were purposively selected from each resin tapper in 26-36 cm diameter at breast height (dbh). Some quarre were counted by the tree chosen based on the dbh. Measurement of resin production was carried out three times at every ten days interval. We used multiple linear regression analysis and curve estimation. The result showed that the dbh and the number of quarre affected resin productivity. Productivity increases with the increase in dbh. Likewise, the increased number of quarre, affected to increased in resin productivity. It was seen that the 5 of the number of quarre began to decreased in resin productivity. The age of trees has not shown a significant effect. The curve between diameter and resin production tends to be linear, while the number of quarre tends to be quadratics.
