Abstract

Cyrstal palm sugar was one product diversification of palm sugar that utilization continues to grow and is expected to reduce its dependence on white sugar. Crystal palm sugar can be processed from the sap of palm or palm sugar product which melted. Utilization palm sugar as a raw material is one way to reduce excess palm sugar, but on the other hand is rather difficult to control the quality of raw materials. Wide variations in the quality of the palm sugar will also cause the palm sugar crystal products are diverse as well. Palm sugar produced by different producer will produce different quality. This research was conducted  how difference between the quality of raw materials and their effects on quality crystal palm sugar. This study showed that some producer producing different quality and this affects the quality of palm sugar crystals obtained. Average moisture content, ash content and insoluble solids content in raw material palm sugar were 12.82%, 12.82%, 12:13% and 3.70%, while the products of palm sugar crystals were 6.33%, 0.24% and 5.06%. Quality criteria of crystal palm sugar that are still beyond the SNI standard where the standard maximum moisture content of 3% and insoluble solids content should be a maximum of 1%.

Abstract

The main object of this study was to assess the productive and physiological responses of broiler chickens to dietary Pigeon Pea (Cajanus cajan) Leaf Meal (PPLM) as an ingredient. 200 day-old, unsexed Ross (303) broiler chicks were used as experimental birds; they were distributed to (5x10x4) following the completely randomized design (CRD). Experimental diets were formulated to (0.0%, 2.5%, 5.0%, 7.5% and 10.0% PPLM), at the expense of alfalfa meal which was included at 10.0% in the control diet. Feed and water were provided ad labium. Experimental period lasted for 7 weeks. Results revealed that there was a significant difference (P<0.05) in feed intake between level (2.5% - 5.0%), PPLM and control. There was no significant difference in total body weight gain. Feed conversion ratio (FCR) results showed that all birds fed PPLM were lagging after control, no significant difference detected between control and 5.0% PPLM. In conclusion the study showed that Pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan) leaf meal could be included in broiler diets at level 2.5-5.0% without any adverse effects on broiler performance.

Abstract

White-egg flour is refined food product, it’s make from white-egg, because oats has high price and for minimize about oats import, so making flour has combine with duck egg and chicken egg and ras chicken egg. White-egg flour has made from material local basic with 2 type egg for develop utilization egg waste and for chance to develop entrepreneurship. This research implemented at Laboratory Technology Food Medical of Polytechnic Nutrient Banjarmasin, Laboratory Microbiology and Analysis Material/Product Industry Agriculture Faculty Unlam Banjarbaru. It’s call with Plan Complete Random (RAL). Observation for nutrient substance content, such as test about protein content and water content. Result about research is for analysis nutrient content give best result about the type duck egg than chicken and ras chicken egg. For analysis protein content, duck egg 86,7319%, chicken egg 86,4680%, ras chicken egg 85,5791% and for water content has the best to ras chicken egg around 8,7206% and duck egg 8,1789% and chicken egg 7,9552%

Abstract

The effect of this research to know management / celery farming management is sighted from technical aspect and to know big cost, acceptance and income of celery farming at Silvan Sei Binjai's Filter. This research utilize survey method with tech observation.  Respondent determination to be done census ala of 10 farmers which labour celery farmings. Acceptance average as big as Rp. 6. 980. 000,00 / farmer.  Averagely propertied as big as 6.617.309,17 / farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the technical know bali farming barking and barking analyzing farm income bali ( Sallacca edulis Reinw) in the village of Batu Nindan Basarang district . Time research was conducted from 4th June to 30th November 2012. The types of data collected in this study included primary data and secondary data. This research method using a survey method . Sampling was done using purposive sampling technique, 30 of 86 people barking bali farmer in the village of Batu Nindan . The variables observed in this study is technical farm income analysis barking and barking bali in the village of Batu Nindan. Research results indicate that farming Technical bali barking in the village of Batu Nindan done extensively . The average total cost of Farm bali barking amounted Rp.3.989.006 with average revenues of Rp.3.822.567 and the average income of Rp.3.400.324 . Bali barking farming held in the village of Batu Nindan inefficient or not feasible to be developed with an average value of RCR Rp.0 , 96 , - ( < 1 )

Abstract

Fish Lais (Ompok hypopthalmus) is one of the fish that live in the waters of the river swamp Rugan, Palangkaraya. Type of food and the availability of food in the water will determine the distribution of fish Lais. Total composition of the food supply will also determine the species composition of fish in the waters and eventually also will affect the growth of fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage and type of food in the stomach Lais fish caught in the river swamp Rungan Palangkaraya city. This study was carried out for 4 months, from January to April 2014, samples were taken every month Lais fish, fish caught and dissected to identify the contents of the stomach, the type of food in the stomach of fish Lais expressed in percent. The results showed that the type of fish food Lais for January are: fish = 60%, not identified = 31%, insects = 9%. Month of February 2014 kinds of food are insects = 56, = 22% shrimp, fish = 11% and = 11% unidentified. March 2014, the type of food is fish = 48%, insects = 36%, 16% and not identified for April Lais percentage of fish food is insects = 73%, not identified = 26%, fish = 1%. Water quality in the river swamp waters are pH between 4.5 to 6 Rungai, 1.7 to 5.1 m water depth, DO 32-36 mg / l, and the water temperature 26 - 27oC.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine blood protein total, blood urea, blood glucose and blood cholseterol on thin tail rams which is administered kudzu pellet with readily available carbohydrates. Experimental method used completely randomize design. The data was analyzed through Anova and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Twenty four local rams are divided into four dietary treatment, namely RK = 50 % napier grass + 50 % concentrate, KD = 50 % napier grass + 25 % kudzu pellet with rice bran + 25 % concentrate, KM = 50 % napier grass + 25 % kudzu pellet with molasses + 25 % concentrate, KG = 50 % napier grass + 25 % kudzu pellet dried cassava + 25 % concentrate. Each treatment was replicated six times. Administering dried cassava (KG) in kudzu showed significance (P<0,05) blood glucose in thin-tailed ram compared to control dietary (RK) and bran rice kudzu pellet (KD) based on table 2. Administering dried cassava (KG) and molasses (KM) in kudzu pellet provided similar response (Table 2) on blood glucose level. Blood cholesterol level decreased along with the duration of treatment (Table 2) during 60 days compared before treatment. The result showed that duration of treatment made a significant decrease (P<0,05) (Table 2) on blood cholesterol in rams. Blood total protein declined when the treatment was administered during 60 days. The result explained that duration of treatment is significant (P<0,05) to decrease blood total protein level on rams (Table 2). The blood urea level of this research showed that the duration of treament is significant (P<0,05) to increase blood urea level on thin-tailed rams (Table 2). Blood urea level on each treatment was range between 31,23 mg/dL – 34,57 mg/dL. This result explained that the increase of blood urea level showed a significant difference (P<0,05) when diet treatments interacted with the duration of treatment. The conclusion of this research was administering dried cassava (KG) and molasses (KM) in kudzu pellet increase blood glucose level, stabilized blood total protein, urea and cholesterol in thin-tailed rams. However, the protein balance in thin-tailed rams diet on different age should be considered in order to support the growth. Keywords: Kudzu, Blood Urea, Blood Glucose, Blood Protein Total, Blood Cholesterol

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different types of inoculum for protein content ( PK ) and crude fiber fermentation of palm frond. Research using randomized design (RAL) 4 treatments and 5 replications . Treatment studies are differences in the type of inoculum fermentation, covering S0 ( control ) , S1 ( EM - 4 ) , S2 ( Trichoderma viridae ) and S3 (Sacharomyces cerevisiae). The variables measured were protein content ( PK ) and crude fiber (SK) from the fermentation of palm frond. Results this research it can be concluded that fermentation using palm frond types of different inoculum showed increased protein results (PK) significantly fermented palm frond of 2,11 % ( control ) to 2,41 ( inoculum EM - 4 ) , while the fiber content ( SK ) not significantly different but showed a declining trend with the use of inoculum in the fermentation of palm frond . Best inoculum recommendations to improve the nutritional value of fermented palm frond is effective microorganism ( EM - 4 ) .

Abstract

Plants cocoa to grow well need a tree protective while and tree protective remain. Preparation of the plants protection while and plants protection remain done during 12-18 months before the cocoa planted. Using paranet as a protective while can accelerate the time planting cocoa. This result was conducted in the experemintal BBPP Binuang for 13month of October 2016 until the month of December 2017.  Reach done by planting cocoa Hibrid F1 along with the installation of paranet individually and as well planting lamtoro protector remain.The result showed that growth in cocoa can grow well, at age month was formed jorket by the number of 5-6 branch, where in cut so that the remaining 3 branch symetric, average high jorket 109,6 centimeters from the ground.  Plants cocoa already flowering after the age of 13 months.

Abstract

The decline in the quality of land caused by the use of inorganic fertilizers fueled the growth of organic farming. Organic farming requires a source of organic fertilizer which is very large. Needs a very large organic fertilizer requires a source of organic material that is widely available. today in eastern Kalimantan and oil palm industry is growing rapidly. The palm oil industry in addition to producing liquid waste also generates solid waste such as oil palm empty fruit bunches that can be used as a source of organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the release of nutrients after the decomposition of oil palm empty fruit bunches using Banana’s Corm (Musa paradisiaca) Microorganisms.This research is descriptive methods. Assessment of the nutrients status in the compost TKKS using BPT Bogor (2009). The results showed that the pH of compost TKKS using Banana’s Corm (Musa paradisiaca) Microorganisms 8,54; C-organic 54,3 %; Nitrogen 1.8 %; Ratio C /N 31.5; P2O5 0,4 %, and K2O 1,59%.
