Abstract

           The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of consumer shrimp paste and analyze the position of Zu-Per shrimp paste against competitors in Kuala Pembuang city. This study uses 65 respondents with an accidental sampling. Variable in this study is veriabel respondent characteristics and attributes (size, packaging, taste, purity, aroma, color, and price). respondent characteristic data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, while Zu-Per shrimp paste position against competitors analyzed using correspondence analysis (CA). Characteristics of respondents  shrimp paste in Kuala Pembuang city of the age of majority is included in the cycle of life of older adults and middle age, the rate of primary and secondary education, it does not work (housewives) with an average predominant number of dependents as much as 2-4 person. Based on consumer perception Zu-Per paste has the advantage on the attributes of taste, purity, and color but have weaknesses on the attributes of size, packaging, flavoring, and price than the competitor's product paste.

Abstract

Shallots is one of the important commodities in Indonesia. Demand for these commodities always increases along with population growth. To fulfill this demand, the production of shallots must always be increased. One way to increase the production of shallots is by fertilizing. This study aims to determine the dosage of NPK fertilizer which gives the best results for the growth and yield of shallots. The study was carried out in Sentani District, Papua Province, from November 2016 until March 2017.The study used the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three treatments NPK Phonska fertilization (NPK 15-15-15 composition) and four repplication. NPK fertilizer used were: 1) NPK 300 kg/ha, 2) 250 kg/ha, and 3) 200 kg/ha. The meterials used were shaloot bulbs Keta Monca cultivar. The plot size was 1 x 5 m, with a spacing of 15 x 15 cm. NPK fertilizer was given at the age of 14 and 30 days after planting respectively with the dose of ½. The variables observed were plant height, leaf number, bulbs number per sample, diameter of bulbs, dry weight bulb per hectare The results showed that the treatment of NPK fertilizer dosage did not give a significant effect on almost all observation variables except on the dry weight of eskip bulb, where the treatment dose of 200 kg/ha NPK fertilizer gave the highest yield compared to other treatments. When observed from the growth components and production components, the dose of NPK fertilizer 200 kg/ha is the most consistent to provide better growth and yield.

Abstract

The aim of this research were to know the effect of bokashi that giving the best result to growth vegetative  Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum).  This research wad design by using Completely Random Design (CRD) with single factor experiment that is doses bokahsi (B), with thelevel of each doses, b0= control (without bokashi), b1= 10 ton ha-1, b2= 20 ton ha-1, b3= 30 ton ha-1.  The result showed that the applications bokashi giving the influence to  of Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum)  Bokashi 30 ton ha-1 give the highest production Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum).

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the soil chemical characteristics of the soil and soil fertility status at the home yard and farm lands in several villages of West Kutai District.The experiment was conducted for 3 (three) months, from April 2013 to July 2013 in the villages of Muut and Dempar of Nyuatan Sub District, Purwodadi Village of Linggang Bigung Sub District; Sumber Sari Village of Barong Tongkok Sub District, and Melak Ilir Village of West Kutai District. This study used survey system, followed by soil sampling compositely at a depth of 0-20cm.  The composite soil samples were then analyzed in the laboratory.The main data that were collected include soil pH, organic C, total N, the C/N ratio, available P, cation-exchangeable base cations, CEC, base saturation, and saturation Aluminum.  The data were analyzed using soil chemical status assessment criteria and soil fertility assessment criteria of Bogor Soil Research Center. The results showed that: (1) the character of the soil chemical properties at home yard and farm land at several villages in West Kutai District, namely: soil pH is very acidic to acidic, organic C content is low to high, N total is low to moderate, C/N ratio is moderate to high, available P is very low to moderate, CEC is relatively very low, base cations classified as very low to moderate, and Al saturation is low to very high; and (2) the status of soil chemical fertility in the home yard and farm land at several villages in West Kutai District is classified as very low to low.

Abstract

This Research aim to know industrial tempe process and to know cost, revenue and tempe operating income. Pursuant to technical of making tempe, entrepreneur do not experience of constraint because entrepreneur have owned procedural knowledge and skill - way of managing the making effort and tempe sale. Produce making tempe during one month with total expense equal to Rp. 33.271.944 and acceptance equal to Rp. 48.600.000, so that the operating income obtained equal to Rp. 15.328.056. Through knowable Sensitivity Analysis that at Production Factor expense go up 5 %, price output descend 5 % and in the situation price output descend 5 % and the Production Factor expense go up 5 % happened the income degradation but the effort making tempe still be run competent

Abstract

Coal post-mining pond has been used for fish cultivation. The success of cultivation in these locations was highly dependent on environmental conditions. The environment as a place for cultivation needs attention for maximum results. One factor that needs to be attention for fish cultivation in post-mining pond is plankton, which acts as an indicator of the quality of waters. Based on identification and calculation was made known that the number of species, abundance, diversity index and uniformity index value of plankton in the post-mining pond was low enough indicated that the water conditions was infertile due to lack of nutrients content, so little of plankton species which were able to live and multiply well.

Abstract

Although bananas grown in almost all developing countries in the world, there is rarely a research on bananas.  Though the prospect of bananas in Indonesia is enormous, both for domestic consumption and for export.  It is unfortunate that the current area of development of banana cultivation has declined because of the disease, include leaf spot.Until now, information about leaf spot fungus pathogens that cause disease on Rutai banana plants still lacking.This research aims to determine the fungal pathogens of leaf spot on Rutai banana plants.Research conducted in the laboratory of Pests and Diseases of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Widyagama Mahakam Samarinda.The results showed that: (1) leaf spot disease that were found in Rutai banana plants caused by a group of fungi; and (2) identification of pathogenic fungi on the leaf spot was Mycosphaerella musicola and it had potential as leaf spot pathogen on Rutai banana plants.

Abstract

Penelitian sebelumnya diketahui formulasi sterilisasi untuk eksplan daun karet terbaik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan perlakuan terbaik untuk formulasi lama perendaman terbaik pada sterilisasi eksplan daun karet. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsentrasi bahan sterilisasi yang sama dengan  variasi lama perendaman sebagai berikut: P1 (control);  P2 (fungisida 15 menit,  bakterisida 15 menit, bayclin 20%  1 menit, bayclin 5% selama 5 menit dan alkohol 70% 0,5 menit), P3 (Fungisida 30 menit, Bakterisida 30 menit, Bayclin 20%  2 menit,  Bayclin 5% selama 10 menit dan Alkohol 70% 1 menit) ; P4 ( Fungisida 45 menit, Bakterisida 45 menit, Bayclin 20%  3 menit,  Bayclin 5% selama 15 menit dan Alkohol 70% 2 menit) dan P5 (Fungisida 60 menit, Bakterisida 60 menit, Bayclin 20%  4 menit,  Bayclin 5% selama 20 menit dan Alkohol 70% 3 menit. analisa data dilakukan dalam dua cara yaitu secara kualitatif dan secara kuantitatif. Analisa data secara kualitatif yaitu dengan deskriptif. Sedangkan secara kuantitatif, data dianalisa dengan tabel, grafik, dan rumus. Hasil diperoleh bahwa kontaminasi tercepat terjadi pada hari ke 6 setelah tabur yaitu perlakuan P1 dengan jumlah eksplan terkontaminasi sebanyak 10 unit dan P2 sebanyak 4 unit eksplan. Perlakuan P4 merupakan perlakuan terbaik dimana  kontaminasi jamur sebesar 13,3% dan kontaminasi bakteri sebesar 40%, kontaminasi pada eksplan 53% dan kontaminasi pada media 20%.Kata kunci : Lama perendaman, sterilisasi, eksplan daun karet.

Abstract

Almost all societies use beans. Beans are the usual food consumed by the people of Indonesia. The local microorganism (MOL) is a fermented solution based on various locally available resources. MOL solution contains micro and macro nutrients and also contains potential bacteria as organic material remodel, growth stimulant and as agent of plant pests and diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth response and plant yield (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) to various doses of MOL banana cobs, and get the best dose. This research was conducted at BPTP South Kalimantan in Muara Rintis Village, Batang Alai Utara Subdistrict, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, from April to July 2017. This research uses single factor RAK with 4 levels ie m1 = 125 ml per plant, m2 = 250 ml per plant , m3 = 375 ml per plant, m4 = 500 ml per plant each treatment was repeated 6 times so that there were 24 experimental units. The results showed no effect on the observed variables.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the technical implementation of Rainfed Rice Farming in the village of Tumih Wanaraya, to determine the costs, revenues and profits in the rainfed of rice farming the village of Tumih Wanaraya, to know Factors Affecting the Production of rainfed rice farms in the village of District Tumih Wanaraya. In This research used the survey method and observation technique. sampling using simple random sampling technique. In this research consisted  of 300 populations.  From each of these respondent farmer to be sampled 10%, the sample total of 30 people.The result of the study, indicated that Production obtained from  30 farmers respondents rice farming, amounting to 190.00 tonnes with productivity of 2.91 tonnes / ha. profit of local rice farming in the rainfed,  Tumih village during the production process is Rp 231,699,665.00  with - average of Rp 7,723,322.17 / farmers. Simultaneously  production factors the rice local  of rainfed land, the value of F-hit. 0,01 (97.74764)> F-table 0:01 (2.142), whole  of independent variables affecting on dependent variable. Partially influence of land area (X1) showed highly significant effect on the resulting production at 99% confidence level, it is seen from the value of t-hit (3.4479627)> t-tab 12:01 (2,457). Kapur (X2), based on the results of the regression analysis, these factors greatly influence the production on the 99% confidence level, for the value of t-hit (3.1487626)> t-tab value of 0:01 (2,457). Fertilizer (X3) this factor showed significant effect on the level of confidence (95%), the production due to the results of the analysis indicate that the value of t-hit (1.2520643)> t-table 0.05 (1.697). Manpower (X4), this factor indicates the effect is not significant to the production level of 95% as the value of t-hit (0.8054875) <t-table 0:05 (1,697).
