Abstract

This fieldwork aims to determine the composition, abundance and diversity of zooplankton in the river flood swamps Rungan Palangkaraya city, this study was conducted in October and December 2013. Research method used was purposive sampling method, with sampling at four observation stations. The results showed that there are two phyla obtained by the phylum Rotifera and Capepoda, with the highest abundance found in October 1567ind/l that the first station  and in December there were at stations III and IV is 69 ind/l. Zooplakton diversity was highest in October at station III, while for December are on station III and IV. Average range of water quality in October and December: temperature 26.7 to 28.7 ° C, depth 2.4 to 6.4 m, DO from 3.2 to 3.4 ppm and pH 3.6 to 39.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui: interaksi antara jumlah daun dan konsentrasi Rootone-F; pengaruh jumlah daun;  dan pengaruh Rootone-F terhadap pertumbuhan bibit jeruk nipis lemon asal stek pucuk secara tunggal.  Penelitian dilaksanakan sejak bulan November 2017 sampai Februari 2018 di Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Mulawarman. Percobaan faktorial disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan lima ulangan.  Faktor pertama adalah jumlah daun, terdiri atas: 5, 7 dan 9 helai daun, sedangkan faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi Rootone-F, terdiri atas: 0,00; 0,05; 0,10 dan 0,15 g mL-1.  Variabel yang diamati meliputi: saat muncul tunas, jumlah tunas, jumlah daun, panjang tunas, diameter tunas, jumlah akar dan panjang akar.  Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil pada taraf 5%.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara jumlah daun dan konsentrasi Rootone-F berbeda tidak nyata pada semua variabel yang diamati, kecuali diameter tunas.  Pengaruh jumlah daun berbeda nyata terhadap variabel yang diamati, kecuali jumlah tunas, jumlah daun, dan panjang tunas pada umur 12 minggu setelah tanam (MST).  Pengaruh konsentrasi Rootone-F berbeda nyata pada semua variabel yang diamati, kecuali jumlah tunas dan jumlah daun pada 6 MST.  Pertumbuhan bibit jeruk nipis lemon terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan 9 helai daun dan dan konsentrasi Rootone-F 0,10 g mL-1 secara tunggal.

Abstract

The reaserch was conducted to analizies the interaction of the responsibilities of varieties, N and chicken manure fertillizer, analizies of varieties treatment, analizies dosage of  N and chicken manure fertilizer to growth, yield an quality of kenaf fiber. The design of the reaserch used (split-split plot design) in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial. The main plot is Nitrogen fertilizer (N), sub plot is chicken manure fertilizer and the sub-subplot is kenaf varieties (V). The all treatment was repeated in three replication. The numbers of plants in the reaserch are 2.700 units. Plot square is 2,25 meter square respectively. The results showed, the interaction have occured 75 after plantig  days  on the plant higest. Nitrogen fertilizer (30 gram urea/plot) after  manure fertilizer (3.380 gram chicken manure fertilizer/plot), KR-14 variety, the weight of wet and dry roots. The best kenaf fiber quality is white (7,20%). The best chemistry composition of kenaf fiber is KR-14 too.  The higest average of fiber strenght showed combination of 40 gram urea dosage/plot, 3.380 gram chicken manure/plot and KR-14 treatment whith value 206 mf/g.

Abstract

Feeding is closely related to the growth rate of the fish. In order to utilize the natural feed ingredients to reduce operating costs and production, the utilization of kale leaves as a natural food is expected to increase the growth rate in tilapia (Oreochiomis niloticus). The research objective was to determine the significance of the effect of different feeding on the rate of growth of tilapia on the size of 3-5 cm during the maintenance period of 28 days and know the quality of the water that supports the growth rate of tilapia fish. The experimental design used in this study is Complete Random Design (CRD) single factor consisting of 3 treatments 3 repetitions. The treatments used are feeding kale, pellet, and pellet and kale. The results showed that the maintenance media (aquarium) tilapia fish with different feeding treatment no significant effect on the growth of the weight and length of tilapia fish. Water quality on the results of this study are still in the range of eligibility for the growth and development of tilapia fish is to a temperature of 26.5 to 28.5 oC; pH ranges from 6.0 to 7.2; DO 6.7 to 6.67 mg/l; and ammonia 2.96 to 3.77 mg/l.

Abstract

Peanuts (Arachis hypogea L.) is classified as crops and plants rapidly produce . Lebak wetlands agroecosystem areas, which are grouped into marginal land in Kal-Sel with various efforts can be utilized for crops.Giving rice husk ash is used to loosen the soil so plant roots can make it easier to absorb nutrients in it . This study aims to ( i ) determine the growth and yield response of peanut to the application of rice husk ash on lebak wetlands , and ( ii ) to obtain the best dosage of rice husk ash growth and yield of peanut in lebak wetlands . The experiment was conducted in the Babirik Hilir Village,  Babirik District, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency in June to September 2012, using a randomized block design (RBD ), with 5 treatments and 4 replications, and 12 plants each contained 240 beds making the overall plant . Factors tested were various dosage of rice husk ash that a0 = 0 t.ha-1 ( 0 kg.plot-1) , a1 = 6 t.ha -1 ( 0.576 kg.plot-1), a2 = 12 ton.ha-1 ( 1.152 kg.plot-1) , a3 = 18 t.ha-1 ( 1.728 kg.plot-1) , a4 = 24 t.ha-1  ( 2,304 kg.plot -1) . The results showed that treatment of rice husk ash dose had no effect on plant height age 14 day Rafter pelanting (DAP), the number of leaves age 14, 21, and 28 DAP . And significant effect on plant height age 21 DAP , plant fresh weight of pods and weight of 100 seeds , and very significant effect on plant height age 28 DAP , age of the plant when the first flowering and number of pods per plant . The best treatment was found on treatment at a4 dosage of 24 t.ha -1 ( 2,304 kg.plot-1).

Abstract

Objectives of the research were: (1) To study the process of making mol from fresh ingredients; and (2) To determine the effect of mol resulted on the making of elephant grass Bokashi.Research conducted on 12 February 2015 up to 16 April 2015 in the OECF Building of the Faculty of Agriculture, Mulawarman University. It included: preparation, making of mol from water hyacinth, making of elephant grass Bokashi and data collection. The research results revealed that: (1) The effect of different moles solution provided different success of elephant grass bokashi due to different fresh material used by each group; and (2) The results when sorted from the best to the worst were fish waste, papaya peels, banana peels, pineapple peels, cabbage waste, water hyacinth, and lamtoro.

Abstract

Feed industry produce of  large scale process and large quantities of ration. If feed are numerous, and are not exhausted once the distribution, then the stability of such goods must be maintained to keep the quality. This is of course requires a system  effective warehousing and storage for the finished products manufactured. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effect stacks and time storage of the physical quality commercial feed. The study used a completely randomized design with a time storage treatment for 3, 6, 9, and 12 days. Each treatment using 5 replicates. Data for quality testing the physical form of the density of the stack, heap compaction density, smoothness, and impact resistance was analyzed using ANOVA and if  treatment gave significantly different effect will be tested by Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed that the height of the stack and a time storage effect on the density of the stack, heap compaction density, smoothness, and impact resistance, and there is interaction between pile heights and long shelf life of the heap compaction density and impact resistance. Good feed must be kept within a period of not more than 13 days and storage methods must be considered as good as the number of stacks, room humidity and cleanliness, because the longer the food is stored with the condition stacked excess will make the feed more easily destroyed, which in turn will further exacerbate the physical condition of the feed when distributed to the consumers.

Abstract

Maize crop (Zea mays L.) is one type of food crop seeds of the grass family. This plant is one of the important food crops, in addition to wheat and rice. The productivity of maize in Indonesia in general is still low, the cause other than packet proper cultivation and use of high yielding varieties impartial fertilization also not done. Along with organic farming, the use of various types of organic fertilizers both solid and liquid is also used to maize crop. This study aims to (i) to determine the liquid organic fertilizer application and (ii) determine the best dose of a liquid organic fertilizer application on the growth and yield of sweet maize. The research was conducted in the Nalui Village District of Jaro Tabalong Regency from May to August 2015. This study used a randomized group design (RGD) single factor. Factors studied were doses of liquid organic fertilizer by 5 treatments, namely: (p0) 0 cc.plot-1  (p1) 200 cc.plot-1  (p2) 400 cc.plot-1  (p3) 600 cc.petak -1 and (p0) 800 cc.plot-1  . The results of various doses of liquid organic fertilizer showed a significant influence on plant height at 28 and 35 days after planting (DAP), giving a significant influence on the cob weight, the length of the cob with husks and cobs without husks long. No effect on plant height at 14 and 21 DAP and leaf number aged 14, 21, 28 and 35 DAP. Liquid organic fertilizer dose of 800 cc.plot-1  gave the best growth and yield of the crop of sweet maize.

Abstract

This article aim to know the efficiency of  corn production  to achieve the maximal corn product in relation using surface of farmland   in which can influences the level of production of corn in Kuwolu village of Kecamatan Bululawang of Kabupaten Malang. Result of analysis of farmer corn production in the village of  Kuwolu showed that there was a relation between production level of corn with the measure of surface of farmland of farmer.  The relation be measured with R/C rasio. According to result of analysis of R/C rasio we can understand that the wide surface of farmland of farmer can not improve the level of corn production (Rp. 2.879.114,62 ha-1 with R/C rasio 4,00), while narrow surface of farmland of farmer could improve the level of corn production (Rp. 3.054.909,12 ha-1 with R/C rasio 3,43). Because on the wide surface of farmland the program of cultivation of corn not done at all of surface of farmland.  For the farm of narrow tight agriculture, corn planted at all of its surface. Pursuant to the result of analysis, be suggested to goverment  to be can compile the agriculture policy to increase corn production for the narrow farmland and also wide farmland to improve the production of corn further

Abstract

          This study aims to determine patterns rearing of ducks are integrated with the palm oil, and  know how contribution the maintenance of duck to palm plant.The method used in this research is a case study in Farmers Group Taruna Jaya Pelaihari, Tanah Laut district that maintain of ducks integrated with oil palm plantations. The results showed that rearing ducks effective on integrase with oil palms use a mixed pattern, with three segments, namely from DOD for one month in the enclosures with a dirt floor, at the age 1- 6 months duck removable to roam among oil palm trees, and when it begins to lay eggs 50% per day until late in the maintenance (+ 20 months) is raised on the stage enclosure. The results also showed that in addition to producing eggs, integrase duck with oil palm trees can be reduce maintenance costs on maintenance of oil palm, including free of weed, free of inorganic fertilizers except as much as 1.5 kg / tree / year of calcium oxida. The growth of oil palm production is better shown with a larger diameter trunk circumference and result production is higher than reared conventionally.
