Abstract

ABSTRACTTo the effect research is subject to be know management / chili farming management outgrows and rice, and knows farming income contribution chili outgrow to wetland rice income rain tank at Binuang's sub-district. Contribution or contribution of chili farming outgrows to rice farming income constitute compare of chili farmer earnings outgrows with full scale earnings from farming chili outgrows and RICE farming that is taken into account up to once season plants out. Full scale earnings average as big as Rp. 46. 385. 360,52 / farmers.  Contribution on usahatani chili as big as 82,22% and as big as rice farming 17,78% Contribution that gave by chili farming outgrows to sizable rice farmer income which is (82,22%),

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the characteristics of fishing communities in the coastal areas of East Kutai Regency. The fishing communities form a distinctive community and dependent on the existence of natural resources in the vicinity. There are various forms of local wisdom possessed by the fishing community with regard to their main activity is fishing activities. Various forms of local wisdom includes beliefs and taboos when performing catch activities, ethics and rules on fishing activities, techniques and technologies applied catchs, as well as the practices and traditions of management and use of natural resources. Location of the study was 7 districts in the coastal area of East Kutai Regency has a fairly large fishery potential fishery households with large amounts of which are Teluk Pandan, South Sangatta, North Sangatta, Bengalon, Kaliorang Sangkulirang and Sandaran. This study basically using sampling techniques are not random (non-probability) that a purposive sampling technique. Determination of respondents with purposive sampling method based certain considerations that are taken based on the purposed of research. Resource management in the form of: a) the existence of indigenous institutions that play a role in regulating the management and utilization of marine resources and coastal fisheries, b) the establishment of a group of fishermen and farmers institutional accompanied by coaching and mentoring more effective in cooperation with governments, companies and research institutions, c) the existence of institutional gathering /yasinan fisherman woman who has the role of venture capital can both strengthen fisheries, d) determination agreement fishing area and type of fishing gear that is allowed for certain waters

Abstract

            Effect of Storage length  of  Alabio Meat Ducks in the refrigerator on the Quality of Microbiology , pH and organoleptic has been conducted in the Laboratory of Veterinary Research Centres (BVet) Banjarbaru . The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and  4 replications. The variables measured were the number of microbes with total plate count (TPC) , pH and organoleptic which include color , flavor and consistency. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) . As for organoleptic test using Kruskal Wallis test . In case of significantly different results , then continued by Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the Length storagealabio duck meat  in refrigerator  affect significantly to the organoleptic until 8th day refer to  a decrease in pH, color, flavor and consistency of meat Alabio, but the number of microbes was not significantly although judging the trend of his going see a decline until 4th day .

Abstract

The experiment was aimed to know the level of fermented sago by using Aspergillus niger to dressed carcass percentage of Serati duck 8 weeks age. This experiment was used Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replicates (control, 10% 20%, 30% and 40% of fermented sago). Data was analyzed by using analysis of variance and followed by Duncann Multirange test. The Optimal use of fermented sago in diets was 20%. Fermented sago can be applied up to 30% in diets, without decreasing the performance of body weight, dressed carcass weight, and dressed carcass percentage of Serati duck 8 weeks age

Abstract

Starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) can serve as an acidifier which can improve digestive enzymes work, suppress the growth of pathogenic microbes, protecting feed from microbial and fungal attack and to improve the palatability of feed. The main objective of this study was to determine the effect of starfruit in the ration on the performance (feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion), the weight of carcass parts, fatty meats, and income over feed cost. The study used 80 chicks two weeks old village with a complete randomized block design experiment method. The treatment consisted of control diet (P0), and three levels of addition of starfruit (P1 = 0.5%; P2 = 1%; and P3 = 1.5%). Each treatment was repeated 5 times. Rations and water were given adlibitum. The trial period lasts for 30 days. Test performed to determine differences in Duncan.The results showed the addition of up to 5% starfruit into the ration does not affect the performance of chicken and chicken carcass weight parts. The highest value of income over feed cost was achieved by treatment with the addition of 0.5% ration starfruit juice.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were (1). to gain an overview of aquaculture farming mustard; (2). to determine the costs and revenues on a large farm mustard; (3). to determine the distribution of labor cost and productivity of labor costs in the farming village of mustard in Middle of North Ulin villages. The method used in this study is a survey method by observation, where the technique of sampling  is done by Simple Random Sampling, out of a population of 80 farmers eggplant taken 38% in order to obtain 30 respondents. The results showed that farm production amounted to 1290.30 mustard belt / respondents or 322,575Kg / respondent (750.17 kg / ha). The average total cost of Rp. 3,000,192.98 / respondents or Rp. 6,977,053.44 / ha and receiving an average of Rp. 3,870,900.00 / respondents or Rp. 9,002,093.02 / ha. The distribution of farming activities, namely mustard land management, a raised bed, planting, maintenance and harvesting. The outpouring labor on land preparation activities HKO 7.73. Value distribution labor costs amounted to 50.88% and Productivity Index (IP) Rp. 126,790.04 / HKO greater than the rate of wage labor (Rp. 50.000,00 / HKO), means the use of labor in mustard farming in this areais productive or efficient.

Abstract

Kubu Beach were originally just a coastal plain, has now been changed into nature in the village of Kubu, District Kumai, West Kotawaringin. The active role of the community around the village and related agencies that maintain and preserve the Kubu Beach so that more eligible to be a natural tourist attraction. Community-based ecotourism has been applied in the management of this nature Kubu Beach is to involve local communities in tourist areas both onshore and natural preserve economic activity (trade). The purpose of this study is to open the mindset of society towards nature preservation Kubu Beach and make it a community-based ecotourism. This research is descriptive inference to determine the number of samples using the technique Quota Sample of 100 people (50 visitors and 50 people around the tourist areas). The results showed that the natural scenic beauty still awake and demand by visitors (25 %) and local community (28 %). This indicates that the natural attractions worthy of being the Kubu Beach getaways / recreation by heeling the number of visitors Ý = 31.604,17 + 3.511,18 X with the value of a positive slope. Communities around the region also plays an active role in the development of ecotourism Kubu Beach is not only to preserve the beach but also generate economic activity around the tourist areas (23 %). In addition, visitors also take an active role in maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of the area's nature (25 %).

Abstract

The objective of the research is to study the effect of Manure and Nutrisi Saputra fertilizers as well as their interaction on the growth and yielf of tomato plant and to find out the kind of manure fertilizers and Nutrisi Saputra concentration that affect high yield of tomato plant.The research was carried out in Experiment Garden of Agriculture Faculty University of 17 Agustus 1945 Samarinda. It lasted for three months (August 2009 to October 2009). The Completely Randomized Design was employed applied for this research with factorial analysis 3 x 4 and 5 replications. The first factor was kind of manure fertilizer (K) consisted of 3 levels : no manure fertilizer (k0), chicken manure 1 kg polybag-1 (k1), and cow manure 1 kg polybag-1 (k2); and the second factor was the formulasi on Nutrisi Saputra (N) consisted of 4 levels : no Nutrisi Saputra (n0), 0,5 ml liquid : 1,5 g powder : 2,5 liter water (n1); 1 ml liquid : 3 g powder : 5 liter water (n2), and 1,5 ml liquid : 4,5 g powder : 7,5 liter water (n3). Results of research that the kind of manure fertilizer and concentration of Nutrisi Saputra as well as their interaction affected significantly to very significantly on the growth and yielf of tomato plant. The highest production of fruit was attained on combination of chicken manure fertilizer 1 kg polybag-1 and formulasi of Nutrisi Saputra 0,5 ml liquid: 1,5 g powder: 2,5 liter water namely 62,00 g plant-1.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the health of Tilapia Gift and reared in cages and water quality conditions of the river masta as indicators of environmental health Masta river waters. The method used is a survey method, and analyzed by descriptive qualitative, Research results show that the health of tilapia gift that is maintained in the system of cages in the village of Masta is in good health and normal condition, wherein: hematocrit, ertitrosit, hemoglobin values, everything is in the range of normal values. Similarly, the results of water quality analysis, showed that the water quality parameter value, good temperature, pH, DO, and brightness in the normal range and within the limits tolerated by fish.

Abstract

This study is aimed to acknowledge garlic efficiency as feed additive on concentrate feed in broiler’s performance. This research was conducted at Farm and Agriculture Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Lambung Mangkurat University. The research was conducted from July till August 2012. The experiment used Complete Random Sampling Method by 5 treatments and was repeated 4 times which consisted of 4 broilers for each. The garlic meal was mixed into the diet according to the treatment : P0 (no garlic extract), P10(0,10% garlic extract), P15(0,15% garlic extract), P20(0,20% garlic extract), P25 (0,25% garlic extract). The observation involved feed intake, body weight increase, feed conversion and final body weight.The results showed that garlic supplementation into the feed significantly affected to feed conversion, but did not affect directly into feed intake, body weight increase and final body weight. And the most efficient feed conversion that garlic meal treatment of 0,10% (P10) – 0,25% (P25) showed as the best result; 1,51 – 1,54. Performance Index got significantly difference at treatment P15, P20 and P25 about 380,05—383,83.
