Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the influence of storage time fresh broiler chicken meat on plastic packaged in the refrigerator (4oC) to pH, water holding capacity and cooking loss and organoleptic (flavor, texture and color). The research was used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments, namely: (P0) = storage for 0 day; (P6) = storage for 6 days; (P12) = storage for 12 days; (P18) = storage for 18 days and (P24) strage for 24 days. Each treatment was repeated 4 times. Observed variables are pH, water holding capacity, and cooking shrinkage data were analyzed with analysis of variance and when a treatment effect followed by Duncan's Multiple range test. Data of organoleptic was analyzed by Kruskal Wallis test. Conclusions from the results obtained by analysis and discussion of that storage time was significantly effect on pH, cooking loss, flavour, color and texture of broiler chicken meat, but no to water-holding capacity. The time lenght storage of broiler chicke meat, could reduced pH and cooking loss, flavor, texture and color but water-holding capacity was increased. Broiler chicken meat on plastic packaged stored in the refrigerator for 6 days the quality is still good.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai September 2019 bertempat di Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Widya Gama Mahakam Samarinda. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perubahan sifat kimia tanah lahan sub optimal yang diaplikasi kompos pelepah kelapa sawit dengan bioaktivator mol limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini di susun dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan percobaan 3 perlakukan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan pertama (P1) yaitu tanah sub optimal 10 kg + 200g kompos pelepah sawit teraplikasi mol limbah cair. Perlakuan kedua (P2) yaitu tanah sub optimal 10 kg + 400g kompos pelepah teraplikasi mol limbah cair dan Perlakuan ketiga (P3) yaitu tanah sub optimal 10 kg + 600g kompos pelepah teraplikasi mol limbah cair. Hasil analisis tanah menunjukkan bahwa pH tanah mengalami peningkatan dari 5,85 menjadi 6,08, Nitrogen total dari 0,20 menjadi 0,58. Fosfor mengalami penurunan dari 70,10 menjadi 5,97 (P1), Kalium mengalami penurunan dari 182,45 menjadi 32,56 (P1), Kapasitas Tukar Kation mengalami penurunan dari 20,16 menjadi 13,10 (P1), dan Kejenuhan Basa mengalami penurunan dari 73,8 menjadi 37,2 (P3).

Abstract

The research objective is to determine the type of fruit flies that attack fruit. Fruits used in this research are: mango, papaya, starfruit, stone guava, and water guava. The research was conducted in the pests laboratory of Agricultural Quarantine Class I Balikpapan. This type of research is an exploratory description that describes data that was collected in the field by using the method of rearing hosts (maintenance hosts).  Once the fruit fly imago emerges from the fruit, then it is collected and finally identified for further identification. The results showed that from the identification, there are four types of fruit flies that attack fruits, namely: Bactrocera carambolae, Bactrocera albistrigata, Bactrocera cucurbitae, Bactrocera papaya.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the use of yard land so far, and how the population in the utilization of yard in the village Kanjilo Barombong District Gowa regency. Population taking in this research is all population that have land yard in Kanjilo Village amounted to 202 people, sample in penenlitian is done by simple random sampling by taking sample as much as 15% from population amount, so that obtained 30 respondents as sample in this research. Data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis by using scoring analysis. The results showed that the utilization of yard area in Kanjilo Village, Barombong District, Gowa Regency, was categorized as good with range 66,7 and interval 33,3, so have opportunity to continue to be maintained and maintained by utilizing yard land in effort to fulfill family need. which is used in the utilization of the yard is very easy, planting media and planting materials are easily obtained. Utilized yard land with various types of vegetable crops, toga, and spices that can meet the needs of families in everyday and financial gain for the people of the Village Kanjilo Barombong District Gowa District.

Abstract

Corn is one commodity that has a strategic role and economical. In Indonesia, the corn cultivated in diverse environments. Rubber is one of the most important plantation crop in South Kalimantan, rubber plantations people usually managed with simple cultivation techniques. Planting corn as intercrops among plantation crops made to utilize the available land, especially in staple crops are not produced. The research was conducted in the Galumbang Village RT III, Paringin Selatan District, Balangan Regency South Kalimantan Province, for 4 months, from May to July 2014. This experiment using a randomized block design with two treatments. The treatments tested were two varieties of sweet corn (B), namely (b1) Jago F1 and (b2) Bonanza F1. Each treatment comprised 12 plants and 16 replications so that overall there are 192 plants with 2 plant samples. Results of analysis of variance showed that the growth and yield of two varieties of sweet corn hybrids as intercrops under the rubber stands significant effect on plant height observation variables aged 28, 35 and 42 days after planting (DAP); variable number of leaf age 28 and 35 DAP; variable diameter stems of plants aged 28, 35, 42 and 49 DAP; and the variable length of the cob without husk of corn. Likewise, no effect on plant height observation variables age 49 DAP; variable number of leaf age 42 and 49 DAP; variables wet weight cob with husk; variables wet weight without husk; and the diameter of the cob without husk. Two variables observation that can not be done analysis of variance that are number of samples per plot and number of cobs per plant samples. Based The DMRT test the best treatment is sweet corn Bonanza F1 (b2) varieties.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate of Effect of injection Prostaglandin F2α on the time required for onset of estrus and estrus durations in Bali cattle with differences of Paritas. A total of 24 Bali cows were divided into four groups, each group was consisting of 6 cows.  Group 1 samples is heifer’s, group 2, samples was paritas1, group 3, samples was paritas 2 and group 4, samples was paritas 3.  All  cows were normal  tract of reproduction  with showing regular cyclic activities and having active of corpus luteum. The parameters in this study were determined including the time required for onset of estrus and duration of estrus. The result showed that percentage estrus response and duration of estrus were non-significant difference (P>0.05) between heifers and paritas 1, 2, and 3 after estrus synchronization with single dose of prostaglandin F2α. It was concluded that injection of PGF2α on heifers and Paritas 1,2 and 3 were  similar result on the time required for onset of estrus and duration of estrus.

Abstract

The aim of research is to find out the influence of probiotic utilization in the ration on dry metter intake, average daily gain (ADG), carcas percentage and economical value. The research was done in 90 days. Probiotic that used in this research is Yea-sacc®1026, commercial product from PT. Alltech. Yea-sacc®1026 contains Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain 1026 and its growth medium. There are two kinds of ration formula (formula I and II).  One of each ration was given yeasacc®1026  1kg/1000 kg, and the other was not given, so  there are 4 ration treatments. This research used Brahman Cross breed (steer and heifer). Each treatment used 30 heads of beef cattle, so there are 120 heads of beef cattle.  The size of paddock 10 x 10m.  This research used randomized completely design with 30 replications. The datta were  analyzed by The SAS System for Windows 6.12. and then Duncan Multiple Range Test. The result of the research indicated that the formulation ( I and II) and  Yea-sacc®1026 used had no effect to dry metter intake, average daily gain (ADG), carcas percentage and economical value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the nutrient content of coconut pulp fermented dregs tocrude protein content, crude fiber and crude fat with different levels of EM-4. The research method used was a complete randomized design (RAL), with four treatments and five replications, in which each replication consisted of a topless container of fermentation. The observed variables were crude protein, coarse fiber and crude axle. Data were analyzed using variance after previously conducted homogeneity test data. If the variance analysis shows a real effect then proceed with the test of the difference of the middle value using the BNT Test. The results showed that the nutrient content of the fermented coconut pulp to the crude protein content increased, while the crude fiber content and crude fat decreased, thus showing very different values significantly (p <0.01).

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of storage time of palm fronds fermented by trichoderma sp to cellulose and hemicellulose content. The method in the research by the using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consists of 5 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment using Trichoderma sp by 6% in the ratio 2:1 with the storage time P0 (0 weeks), P3 (3 weeks), P6 (6 weeks), P9 (9 weeks), and P12 (12 weeks). The variable were observed in this research that the level of cellulose and hemicellulose in palm fronds, with the support of the supporting variables such as odor, color, and texture of fermented palm fronds with a different storage time. Data were the using analysis of variance and to know the difference between treatment followed by DMRT (Gaspersz, 1994). The result showed that were significant differences between the storage time of fermented plam fronds against cellulose content, the highest cellulose content in P12 week storage time is 53,83%. For the hemicellulose content of fermented palm fronds with a differrent storage time, the content of hemicellulose to decrease and no real effect. Decrease in hemicellulose content lowest for the storage P9 week time is 20,19%.

Abstract

This research aim to Sensitivity Analyse 5 % Elegibility Farm Effort of Rubber Seed “Umbrella One”  (Hevea Brasilliensis) in Bentok Darat with indicator of Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of return (IRR) dan Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C) by using sensitivity analysis 5 % for the factor of production change.  The results of the research showed Elegibility Farm Effort of Rubber Seed “Umbrella One”  (Hevea Brasilliensis) in Bentok Darat is eligebility with Net Present Value (NPV) positif 226.328.495,34  NBCR 1,528  dan  IRR 29,48 % by using 5 % sensitivity analyse.
