Abstract

Rose is known as an ornamental plant that can be used for various purposes such as ornamental plants in the garden , in pots , flowers used as blushes , perfume,  cosmetics and medicine. Cuttings are often doomed to failure with no root growth. One attempt to overcome failure in root growth on cuttings is to provide an organizing grow. Cow urine is one that contains a growth hormone indole 3 - butyric acid belongs to the class of auxin . Cow urine is a synthetic growth hormone is commonly used to stimulate root growth in cutting. This study aims to (i) determine the growth of cuttings of roses against time of immersion in a solution of cow urine, (ii) get marinade’s best rose cuttings in a Solutions of cow urine. This research was conducted in the village of Banua Lawas District Tabalong South Kalimantan in April to July 2014, using a single factor RAK, with level 6 treatments with 4 replications in order to get 24 units of the experiment . Factors tested were cow urine soaking time ,ie p0 = without soaking , p1 = 15 minutes , p2 = 30 minutes , p3 = 4 minutes , p4 and p5 = 60 minutes = 75 minutes . The results showed that treatment of cow urine soaking time significantly affected the speed variables emerged shoots, shoot length 2 mst age, number of leaves mst age 2 and 4, as well as the very significant effect on long shoots 6 mst age and number of roots, the best treatment was achieved in p1 with 15 minutes soaking time .

Abstract

Aging is a natural and spontaneous phenomenon which occurs during storage of dry grain, involving physical changes and chemical that would alter the quality of the cooking, processing, taste and nutritional value as well as affect the commercial value of rice.  Naturally aging takes a long time between 6-12 months so it is less economical. Aging may be accelerated by increasing the grain moisture content and storage temperature. Freshly harvested rough rice   contains high moisture content ranging between 21-26% and respiration  activity is still high which generate heat that can be accumulated by the packaging, so the grain temperature increases. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of packaging which can increase the temperature and RH storage, milling yield and head rice yield. Grain varieties used are Siam Pandak with five types of packaging, ie black plastic bags, sacks, cans, wood and tarpaulin, and stored for 72 hours. As a control, direct drying grain harvest is used. Observations are including temperature and RH in packaging, milling recovery and head rice yields. The results showed that all types of packaging used can increase the temperature and RH in the packaging than the temperature and RH in storage space. The most high milling recovery obtained from black plastic packaging, while the head rice yields all kinds of packaging meets the quality criteria V ISO 6128-2008 except wood packaging, although based on the percentage of head rice, tarpaulins packaging has the highest head rice.

Abstract

The theme of the research was communication network analysis of Aloe vera’s farmer in the central agribusiness area in Pontianak. The objectives of the research were: (1) to explain the diversity of communication network structure, (2) to explain the correlation between internal and external factors of communication and communication network, (3) to explain the correlation between communication network and farmers marketing behavior, (4) to explain the correlation between internal and external factors of communication and farmers marketing behavior. The respondents in the research was all of Aloe vera’s farmers, i,e., 67 person. The result of the research indicated that there were 7 respondents as stars, 4 as bridges, 2 respondents as liaison and 2 respondents as isolate. There were 7 cliques in the system in which 5 cliques take forms as radials or stars, 1 cliques as acircle form and 1 cliques takes form as all chanells. The research also indicated that there was correlation between internal and external factors and network communication; correlation between communication network and farmers marketing marketing behavior; correlation between internal and external factors and  farmers marketing behavior.

Abstract

Organic wastes in Samarinda, East Kalimantan are about 450 tons a day. More than 60 % as a vegetables waste. Refer to the literature, nutrients which contain on the vegetables waste are about 100 ton per waste’s dry weight so it is potential to be an organic fertilizers. The advantages of the organic fertilizer are coping nutrient deficiencies, relieves nutrients fastly, contain complete micro and macro, repairing soil structure then soil become loose, high water holding capacity, and occasionally give the disease resistancy to the plant, and increasing soil microorganism activity. That the reason why organic fertilizer like compost being the alternative for repairing soil degradation. That research aims are to identify the compost quality from the vegetables local microorganism which produces by adding the vegetables with sugar and coconut water. And then that local microorganism was used as the empty bunch palm oil scrabs decomposter. This research told that the compost from the vegetables wastes with local microorganism application held the higher total N, P, K than control.

Abstract

The research was conducted in the village of Pinang Habang Wanaraya Barito Kuala District of South Kalimantan Province. When the study began in October until April. Data collected includes primary and secondary data by using a sampling technique by means of a simple random sample (Sample Random Sampling) is sampling 25% of the 87 farmers as many as 22 people are to farm the farmer scallion scallion. The results showed that the production of scallions average of 3545.45 kg / one growing season with an average land area of 0.30 ha / farmer. The amount of revenue that an average of Rp39.000.000,00, - the selling price Rp11.000,00, - / kg. The total average cost of Rp21.330.847,36, - / farmers include explicit costs an average of Rp9.240.732,85, - / farmers and implicit costs an average of Rp21.004.166,66, - / farmers. so that the total average cost of Rp30.244.899,51, - / farmers. While the average income of Rp29.759.267,15, - / farmer with a gain of Rp8.755.100,49, - / farmers. Feasibility level with RCR value of 1.29 and, -, with a breakeven point BEP Production amounted to 369.69 kg less than the amount of production that is equal to 3545.45 kg, and the price of Rp8.548,54 BEP, - less than the price the current Law Rp11.000,00, -, scallion kg, the farmers gain acceptance for Rp4.066.553,15, -. means farming leek Pinang Village Habang Wanaraya Barito Kuala District of South Kalimantan worth the effort.

Abstract

Diversity is a natural characteristic and is the basis of ecological stability, biodiversity expressed a measure that describes the variation of plant species from a community that is affected by the number of species and relative abundance of each species. The presence of trees at a site generally will have a positive impact for the balance of the ecosystem in a wider scale. In general, the role of vegetation in an ecosystem associated with the regulation of carbon dioxide and oxygen balance in the air, improved physical properties, chemical and biological soil, ground water system settings, and others. The behavior of each type of tree growth and regeneration of species adaptation to environmental changes are a result of degradation is very useful information for consideration in determining the form of further processing of forest. The purpose of this study was to determine the structure and composition of vegetation in the protected area forest Telaga Kameloh waterfall area in subdistrict Kurun district Gunung Mas. Note that the value of diversity type (H ') from all levels of vegetation; seedling, stake, poles and trees, the largest located in protected areas with high diversity  (H> 3 - 3,5). Richness of Species with the highest seedling of protected areas with a value of 7,49 in areas with the highest degradation of seedlings is 5.27. The highest value of evenness of species found on poles level in areas hedge with the value 0.97 and the area of degradation value with the highest poles evenness of 0.96. Dominance index (C) the highest found in tree in protected area 16,73, in the area of degradation value of the highest dominance on the tree with the value 23,37. Community similarity index or index of similarity (IS) has a value Of between 44,53% to 77.07%.The vegetation structure in degradasi area from curve J is inversed, it sign that the comumity was annoyed. In the protected area, vegetation structure not from  curve J inversed.

Abstract

Dodol Pisang Awa is a newly introduced local banana-based product. Several basic studies are necessary in introducing the new product to the prospective producers and consumers. Studies conducted were consumer preference level, shelf life determination and business feasibility analysis. Result showed that the taste of Dodol Pisang Awa is accepted at level 4 (hedonic scale of 1-5) followed by the aroma, overall appearance, texture, and colour. The shelf life was limited to 10 days at room temperature, transparent HDPE packaging. Feasibility analysis suggested that the business plan is feasible at profitability value of 0.77 and business efficiency of 1.77.

Abstract

The experiment was aimed to study the effect of kinds and rates of manure and also find and gain that treatment resulted in the best growth and development of adas. The experiment was conducted at farmer’s land in Wukirsari village, Sleman regency, special teritory of Yogyakarta.   A factorial experiment of 3x3 factors +1 control was used whereby the treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replicates. The first factor was kind of manure; consisted of 3 kinds, i.e : cow manure, goat manure, chicken manure. The second factor was rates of manure, consisted of 3 levels, i.e : 0,5; 1,0; and 1,5 kg/plant (25, 50, 75 ton/ha). The parameters observed were : plant height, leaf number, stem diameter, leaf area index, shoot root ratio, fresh weight (shoots-roots), dry weight (shoots-roots), net assimilation rate, crop growth rate.    The result of experiment showed that there was no interaction between kinds of manure and their rates except for shoot root ratio 8 weeks after plantation. Three kinds of manure gave the same effect as control on plant growth and development. Rates of manure 1,5 kg/plant gave the best influence to adas growth by increasing total dry weight plant and leaf area index 16 weeks after plantation 52,77 % and 27,48 % compared to control

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the financial feasibility of salted fish processing business  Seruyan Hilir in district Seruyan. The method used is the method of census, census method is a research method that uses all individuals in the population so that in this study did not use samples. Analysis of the data used is qualitative analysis to analyze the costs incurred for activities ranging from the cost of investment, production operations and financial analysis used to determine feasible or not its processing business, salted fish using the criteria for eligibility of investment are: Net Present Value ( NPV), Internal rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit Cost ratio (Net B / C), Payback Period and sensitivity analysis switching value to determine the sensitivity level of effort toward the changes to assumptions used for example only the first assumption the price of raw materials fresh fish rose 10%, assuming both the selling price of salted fish down 10%, and assuming a third the price of raw materials fresh fish rose 10% and the price of salted fish down 10% on the analysis finasial processing business, salted fish seen on the criteria of investment used salted fish processing business is still feasible to be developed or executed and based on the analysis of switching value that the reduction in the selling price of salted fish is more sensitive than the increase in raw material use fresh fish.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the citrus nursery business in siem banjar Banjarbaru City of grafting on the economic aspects, namely cost, revenue, profit, and the feasibility of the breakeven point. This study used a survey method. Sources of data in this study were obtained from the primary data and secondary data. Method of data collection in census., Who were respondents in this study were all citrus seed breeder in grafting siem banjar Banjarbaru City totaling 19 breeder. The results of the study in the production period is as follows: 1) Costs incurred an average of Rp 21,734,273.50 / breeder (equivalent to Rp 314,338,666.32 / ha.; 2) Gained revenue breeder average of Rp 37,378,684.21 / breeder (equivalent to Rp 540,600,804.69 / ha.; 3) Gains profit by breeders during the production period by an average of Rp 15,644,410.71 / breeder (equivalent to Rp 226,262,138.43 / ha); 4) Feasibility RCR value or an average of 1.72 which means worthy to be pursued.; 5) Breakeven point on citrus breeding siem Banjar in grafting is Rp 2063.72.
