Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA yang layak untuk melatih literasi  siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Pengembangan perangkat menggunakan model pembelajaran 4D, dan diujicobakan di kelas VII SMP Al Hikmah Surabaya tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Pembelajaran ini dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan perangkat pembelajaran model Cooperative Learning. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode validasi, observasi, tes dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sangat valid; (2) pembelajaran terlaksana dengan kategori baik; (3) perangkat yang disusun dapat melatih literasi sains siswa sehingga mendapatkan N-Gain 0,84 dengan kategori tinggi; (4) Siswa memberikan respons positif terhadap pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan dengan model Cooperative Learning layak digunakan untuk melatih literasi sains siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is produce chemistry teaching material using concept map strategy that valid, practical, and effective to improve understanding of concept and critical thingking ability of student in senior high school. The development of teaching material used to four D Models and was tested to 2 classes in class X of SMAN 1 Muara Bengkal second semester in academic year 2014/2015. Teaching material tested to One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Tested of teaching material used to one group pretest and posttest design. The data collection used observation method, test, and quetionnaires. The data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis of quantitative, qualitative and statistic non parametric. The results of this research are: 1) Teaching material developed has a valid category; 2) The practicality of teaching material in terms of a good category in feasibility of lesson plans and the students activities in accordance with steps of direct instruction using concept map strategy; and 3) The teaching material effectiveness in terms of: (a) Improving understanding of concept and critical thingking ability of student by getting the n-gain score from students and  the result of non parametric analysis (b) The students’ responds toward material and implementation of teaching are very positive. It’s conclusion that the teaching material through concept map strategy are valid, practical, and effective to improve understanding of concept and critical thingking ability of student in senior high school. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran Kimia yang berbasis strategi belajar peta konsep yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model 4-D dan diujicobakan pada 2 kelas di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Muara Bengkal pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Ujicoba perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan rancangan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, kualitatif dan uji statistik nonparametrik. Temuan hasil penelitian, yaitu: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik dan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahapan-tahapan pada model pembelajaran langsung yang menerapkan strategi belajar peta konsep; dan 3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Peningkatan Hasil belajar pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang  terlihat dari nilai n-gain masing-masing siswa serta hasil analisis data nonparametrik yang telah dilakukan; (b) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sangat positif. Disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran kimia berbasis strategi belajar peta konsep yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA.

Abstract

The heat and displacement is one of the material in science learning taught at the junior high school level. This study aims to describe the profile of the conceptual understanding of Class VIII junior high school students on matter of heat and displacement. The design of this study is a descriptive study concerning the understanding of the concept of junior high school students in material heat and displacement with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were 27 students of class VIII D Kesatrian 1 Semarang junior high school. The sampling technique uses probability sampling techniques with simple random sampling technique. The data collection method used is a test instrument in the form of a two-level multiple choice question that has been validated by experts. The results of this study found that understanding the heat concept and its displacement of 7% in the criteria were very low, as much as 26% in the low category, 48% in the medium category, 15% in the high category, and by 1% the criteria were very high. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the percentage of understanding of the concept of heat material and its displacement is the largest in the medium category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is produce physics instructional materials based-on guided discovery model using simple equipment with criteria:  valid, practical, and effective to reduce Senior High School students’ misconceptions in static fluid. The development of instructional materials used four-D model and tested to three class are class X-2, class X-3, and class X-4 and involved 90 students at SMAN 19 Surabaya, second semester in academic year 2013/2014 with one group pretest – posttest design. The data collected include data instructional materials validation, data implementation of learning, data learning outcome, student’s activity data, student’s responses data, and data of documentations. The data analysis techniques used are: 1) quantitative descriptive analysis among others: completeness indicator, learning outcome, and reduction misconceptions. 2) analysis CRI among others: intensity misconceptions and reduction potential misconceptions. 3) analysis statistic parametric among others: normality test, homogeneity test, and paired t-test. The results of this research are: 1) the validity of instructional materials to develop is invalid category; 2) the instructional materials practicality in terms of: textbook students and exercise book students; the instructional materials in terms of a very good category; 3) the instructional material effectiveness in terms of: (a) mastery learning of classical 100%; (b) reduction misconception the same as lowering misconception, the average result of students misconceptions reduction were  class X-2 average 59,92%, class X-3 average 24,52%, class X-4 average 32,50%; and (c) the students’ responses to instructional materials are very positive. It’s conclusion that the instructional materials through guided discovery learning model using simple equipment are valid, practical, and effective so worthy to reduce Senior High School Students misconceptions in static fluid materials. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model guided discovery learning dengan menggunakan alat sederhana yang memenuhi kriteria: valid, praktis, dan efektif sehingga layak untuk mereduksi miskonsepsi siswa SMA pada materi fluida statis. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan four-D model dan diujicobakan pada tiga kelas yaitu kelas X-2, kelas X-3, dan kelas X-4 dengan jumlah siswa seluruhnya sebanyak 90 siswa di SMA Negeri 19 Surabaya semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dalam bentuk one group pretest–posttest design. Data-data yang dikumpulkan berupa data validasi perangkat pembelajaran, data keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, data hasil belajar, data aktivitas siswa, data respons siswa, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan antara lain: 1) analisis deskriptif kualitatif meliputi: ketuntasan indikator, hasil belajar, penurunan miskonsepsi. 2) analisis CRI meliputi: intensitas miskonsepsi dan penurunan potensi miskonsepsi. 3) analisis statistik parametrik meliputi: uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) validitas perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: keterbacaan BAS dan LKS berkategori tinggi, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berkategori baik; 3) keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) ketuntasan klasikal semua kelas mencapai 100%; (b) reduksi miskonsepsi merujuk pada penurunan miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh rata-rata siswa kelas X-2 mencapai 59,29%, kelas X-3 mencapai 24,52%, kelas X-4 mencapai 32,50%;  dan (c) respons siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sangat positif.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran fisika model guided discovery learning menggunakan alat sederhana yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan sehingga layak digunakan untuk mereduksi miskonsepsi siswa SMA pada materi fluida statis.

Abstract

This research aims to develop chemistry learning materials PBM models oriented in curriculum 2013 to improve learning outcomes of high school students on the material factors that affect the rate of reaction. This research is the development by using Kemp models,et al. Limited trial design uses one group pretest posttest design with descriptive analysis techniques of quantitative and qualitative descriptive. This study uses the subject of the trial class XI SMA-Based Leading Pesantren Amanatul Ummah 2015-2016 school year on the subject of factors that affect the rate of reaction. The results showed: (1) The quality of the device can be seen from the validation RPP, validation BAS, validation worksheets, and validation of THB categorized either by reading level easily understood, (2) practicality of the device can be seen from Keterlaksanaan RPP categorized very well, (3) Effectiveness learning tools can be seen from the thoroughness of individual student learning outcomes and the traditional, the effectiveness is also supported by the positive response of students to study indicated 95.83% of students who give a positive response. Based on data analysis can be concluded that the learning device by problem-oriented in curriculum 2013 on material factors that influence the reaction rate meets the criteria of quality, practicality, and effectiveness so that used in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to describe practicality and effectiveness of the integrated science learning through project-based learning in fasilitate academic and social Skill of class VIIF SMP Muhammadiyah 12 GKB Gresik. This research uses one group prettest-posttest design proceded by preparatory phase which aims to develop the material planning of the 4-D models of Thiagarajan and followed by  implementation phase in the classroom. The results showed:1) the practicality of teaching material categorized in feasibility of lesson plan and students give positive responses toward teaching materials and implementation of project based learning, 2) the teaching and learning use the teaching material development categorized effectively in terms of : (a) an assessment of the student's academic skills in organizing materials, skills to plan, implement and report on project task and psychomotor student in the laboratory showed very good (b) assessment of social skills of students in collaboration and communication showed very good and (c) increased knowledge learning outcomes of students with an average of 0.8 N-gain (high gain). Based on the result, it can be concluded that project based learning in teaching integrated natural science for Junior High Students is practicable and effectively to fasilitate student’s academic and social skill and gaining their knowledge. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kepraktisan dan keefektifan pembelajaran IPA terpadu melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam melatihkan keterampilan akademik dan sosial siswa kelas VIIF SMP Muhammadiyah 12 GKB Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest -posttest  design yang di dahului dengan tahap persiapan yang bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat mengikuti rancangan 4-D model dari Thiagarajan dan dilanjutkan dengan tahap uji coba di kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) perangkat pembelajaran berkategori praktis ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan rencana pembelajaran dan respon positif siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis proyek; 2) Pembelajaran menggunakan perangkat yang dikembangkan berkategori efektif, hal ini didasarkan pada: (a) penilaian keterampilan akademik siswa dalam mengorganisir materi, keterampilan merencanakan, melaksanakan dan melaporkan penugasan proyek, keterampilan unjuk kerja laboratorium menunjukkan sangat baik (b) penilaian keterampilan sosial siswa dalam bekerjasama dan berkomunikasi menunjukkan sangat baik (c) peningkatan hasil belajar pengetahuan siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,8 (gain tinggi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek praktis dan efektif dalam melatihkan keterampilan akademik dan sosial siswa SMP serta meningkatkan hasil belajar pengetahuan pada mata pelajaran IPA Terpadu.

Abstract

The objective this research is to implement a concept maps as a learning strategy and Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment (CDA) using TPS’ Cooperative Learning Model. The subject of this research were X TITL 1, X TKJ 2, and X TKR 4 of SMK 1 Kediri on the subject of chemical reactions with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The implementation of lesson plan is well categorized, the most dominant student activity is working in pairs, there is the changing of students’ concept understanding level. The value of the correlation between the score of concept maps and learning outcomes is 0.7, it can be interpreted that the higher score in the concept map, the higher of learning outcomes. It can be concluded that concept maps can implement  using  TPS’ cooperative learning model as a learning strategies and  Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment (CDA).Penelitian ini bertujuan   mengimplementasikan peta konsep menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif TPS sebagai strategi belajar dan Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment (CDA). Subyek penelitian ini adalah kelas X TITL 1, X TKJ 2, dan X TKR 4 SMKN 1 Kediri  pokok  bahasan  Reaksi  Kimia  dengan  rancangan  penelitian  One Group  Pretest-Posttest  design.  Temuan hasil penelitian yakni keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik, aktivitas siswa yang dominan ad alah bekerja berpasangan, adanya perubahan tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa. Nilai korelasi antara skor peta konsep dan nilai hasil belajar lebih dari 0,7, dapat  disimpulkan semakin tinggi skor peta konsep semakin tinggi pula nilai hasil belajar.   Disimpulan bahwa peta konsep dapat diimplementasikan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif TPS Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment (CDA).

Abstract

The aims of this study were to develop teaching materials using 5E model of instruction to increase students’ higher order thinking skills and to describe their feasibility. The teaching materials (i.e. lesson plan, student worksheet, and higher order thinking skills test) were developed using 4-D model that was proposed by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel. The subject of this study were the developed teaching materials that were tried out to undergraduate students of Biology Department, University of Muhamadiyah Surabaya (UMS) and undergraduate students of Chemistry Department, State University of Surabaya (UNESA). The developmental testing was designed using the one-group pretest and posttest design with three times replication. Additionally, each replication used about 15 undergraduate students. Data were collected using experts’ appraisal, observation, test, and questionnaire and analyzed quantitatively and descriptive qualitatively. The findings of this study indicated that the developed teaching materials were feasible. They were valid according to experts’ appraisal, and they were practice and effective to be implemented in the classroom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar menggunakan model pembelajaran 5E untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berfikir tingkat tinggi siswa serta mendeskripsikan kelayakan bahan ajar tersebut. Bahan ajar dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan  model 4-D yang diusulkan oleh Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar yang telah dikembangkan dan diuji cobakan kepada mahasiswa tahun pertama angkatan 2014 di Jurusan Biologi, Universitas Muhamadiyah Surabaya (UMS) dan di Jurusan Kimia, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). Desain penelitian yang digunakan ketika uji coba bahan ajar adalah one-group pretest and posttest dengan replikasi sebanyak tiga kali. Selain itu, untuk setiap replikasi menggunakan sekitar 15 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan penilaian ahli, observasi, tes, dan kuesioner serta dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Penemuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria kelayakan, yaitu valid menurut pendapat para ahli, praktis dan efektif ketika diuji cobakan di dalam kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the feasibility of interactive multimedia and the developed kits, the activities of students, the understanding of students' concepts, and students' responses. Interactive multimedia and kits were developed with Writing to Learn strategies. Feasibility criteria consist of content, presentation, language, and graphics. This type of research was developed with the Research and Development (R & D) method. The research subjects are interactive multimedia and developed kits. The research instruments consisted of validation sheets, student activity observation sheets, concept understanding test sheets, and student response questionnaire sheets. Data sources were obtained from chemistry lecturers, Special Education lecturers, Special School teachers, and five students from Blitar State Special Junior High School. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that interactive multimedia and kits are very feasible to be used as learning media with a percentage of eligibility ≥ 61%. Percentage of students student activities were in range 66,66% - 100% for each activities. Students’ score and Students’ concept understanding were increased after trial. The results of student responses indicate that interactive multimedia and kits get a positive response because they get a percentage of  ≥ 61% for each aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to produce of learning materials which is effective to improve students’ achievement. This learning is done by learning materials applying based on scientific approach integrated with mathematical procedure. This study is learning materials developing used 4D model and implemented by one group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative. Results of the study as follow: validator evaluation for Plan of Conducting Teaching (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pelajaran (RPP)), student book, Student’s Working Sheet (Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS)) by category of appropriate to use. Test of students’ cognitive, psychomotor, and affective study by categories of valid and easy to understand. Conducting RPP on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd meetings as much as 100%. Students’ cognitive competence achievement by pretest and posttest gain score as much as 25% for its high category, 75% for its medium category, and 0% for its low category. Finishing cognitive competence, psychomotor, and affective study results are 75%, 98.3% and 98.3% in that order. This study concluded that physics learning materials based on scientific approach which integrated with mathematical procedure is effective in improving students’ achievement on heat subject matter for high school. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran, yang efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Pembelajaran ini dilakukan dengan cara menerapkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan ilmiah yang diintegrasikan dengan prosedur matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4D dan desain ujicoba one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebagai berikut: hasil penilaian validator terhadap Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Buku Siswa, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) dengan kategori sangat layak untuk digunakan. Tes hasil belajar kompetensi pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap dengan kategori valid dan mudah dipahami. Keterlaksanaan RPP pada pertemuan I, II, dan III sebesar 100%. Hasil belajar kompetensi pengetahuan dengan gain score pretest dan posttest sebesar 25% untuk kategori tinggi, 75% untuk kategori sedang, dan 0% untuk kategori rendah. Ketuntasan hasil belajar pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap secara berurutan adalah 75%, 98,3%, dan 98,3%. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran Fisika berbasis pendekatan ilmiah yang diintegrasikan dengan prosedur matematis efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi kalor tingkat SMA.
