Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes of between students that are given the Physics learning models of Inquiry-Student Team Achievement Division (ISTAD) and guided inquiry, between students who have high achievement motivation and low achievement motivation. This study was an experimental study with a 2x2x2 factorial design. The study population was the students of class X of SMAN 1 Toroh Grobogan of academic year 2016/2017. Samples were obtained by cluster random sampling technique consists of two classes, class X IPA 3 is used as an experimental class using ISTAD model and class X IPA 4 as the control class using guided inquiry model. Data collection techniques using test techniques for learning outcomes, and technical questionnaire to obtain the data of students achievement motivation. Analysis of data using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that: (1) there is a difference between the learning outcomes of students with the ISTAD Physics models and with the physics model of guided inquiry. (2) There are differences in learning outcomes between students who have high achievement motivation and low achievement motivation. (3) There is no interaction between ISTAD and guided inquiry Physics models learning and achievement motivation of students.

Abstract

Red onion (Allium azscalonicum L.) is a kind of Horticultural commodity that has big opportunity in the sector of Agribusiness. This research aimed to determine of the diversity and evenness of Arthropod that are distributed under different planting patterns. This research started on April until July 2016, located in Sidera, Sigi Biromaru Sub district, Sigi Biromaru Regency, Central Sulawesi. The method used in this research was an absolute method (a unit sample used was an area size of 1m x 4m within which observations to all individual Arthropod were done systematically) and the nisbi method (Pitfall, Sweep, and Yellowtraps were used). The planting pattern simple mented in this research were red onion – red onion, red onion – chili, and red in the planting pattern of red onion – beans. The diversity of Arthropod on the different planting patterns and the planting pattern of red onion – chili and red onion – beans was classified as medium category with the production of red onion was 3.49 ton/ha. Keywords : Arthropoda, Diversity, Onion, Planting Patterns.

Abstract

PROJECT BASED LEARNING IMPLEMENTATION IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN SURAKARTAAbstractProject-based learning needs to be implemented in junior high schools because by applying this model it will enhance student creativity. Project-based learning is a learning model that makes students active and innovative, completing a project in a certain period. This study aims to analyze the learning process at the junior high school in several schools in Surakarta to implement project-based learning. The design of this study is qualitative descriptive. Data analysis using Milles Huberman by observation, in-depth interviews, and student cognitive achievement. The results show that the learning that has been done in several Junior High School in Surakarta has not used project-based learning. This lack of using Project-Based learning is because the teacher has no direction or is still limited to learning using the Project-Based Learning model, so the teacher prefers to teach with lecture and discussion methods in the classroom. Even though in the 2013 curriculum, the application of a student-centered learning model is highly recommended. The researcher hopes that the results of this study will help design a curriculum that uses a project-based learning model.

Abstract

As it has been stressed on within the educational program curriculum, science process skills acquisition is an inextricable outcome of a science learning program. Therefore, the proper type of assessment for measuring science process skills is an inseparable part of science education program. In this study, we use a Two-Tier Multiple Choice (TTMC) assessment instruments to measure 148 senior high schools students’ science process skills. Through TTMC assessment instrument, we found that the students' skills in six different science process skills indicators were varied, with skills to communicate scientific concepts as the highest level of acquisition.

Abstract

In the field of education, the COVID-19 demands changes in the learning process. It is important to know the changes that have occurred so that we can take some actions to face the changes that occurred, and help teachers prepare for the changes that occur in the learning process, especially in the physics learning process. This study aims to determine changes in the teaching, assessing, and using validated instrument aspect due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, gathered teacher perspectives on the availability of E-Formative Assessment in Web-based E-Learning (EFA on ElboW) integration. The sampling technique used in this study was quota sampling. Data were collected from 33 physics teachers from various districts in Indonesia and analyzed using quantitative descriptive. As a result, the significant value of paired sample test for teaching, assessing and using validated instrument aspect before and during COVID-19 successively are 0.000, 0.003, and 0.183. Then all respondents agreed that the Integration of E-Formative Assessment in Website-Based E-Learning (EFA in ELboW) was needed by physics teachers during the COVID-19 Pandemic. It can be concluded that there are changes in the teaching and assessing aspect. Also, the Integration of E-Formative Assessment in Website-Based E-Learning (EFA in ELboW) was needed by physics teachers to prepare them to deal with the changes that occur in learning due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Of course, this article has great implication for teachers and researchers.
