                                                      AbstrakTujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hakikat pendidikan multikultural dan peran buku ajar bahasa Indonesia dalam mencetak peserta didik berwawasan multikultural. Pendidikan multikultural adalah pendidikan yang didasari pada kesetaraan dan keadilan, menjunjung tinggi nilai kemanusiaan, kebersamaan, serta mengakui, menerima, menghargai, dan menghormati adanya keragaman dan perbedaan budaya yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing individu. Abstract

The proverb of Melayu Kutai language is the manifestation of the nature and natural characteristics in Kutai people's homes in Kutai Regency. The proverb is used as a form of satire that contains advices for its speakers. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that examines metaphors and cultural values in Kutai Melayu proverb. In the proverb, there are metaphors referring to animals and cultural values representing the working mentality, attitudes, perceptions, behaviors, ethics, and morals. It shows about the use of language metaphorically as an expression that contains the values of culture that has long existed in Kutai community.

Abstract

This development aims to create a product of anecdote learning model book based on STAD and Make A Match on the tenth grade senior high school students. It can be used to facilitate teachers and students to identify the structure of anecdote. It uses Research and Development/R&D of Dick and Carey’s learning model. The results show that it has fulfilled the standard validated by material expert test, linguist test, educational practitioner test, and media expert test with the average score of 92, very feasible/very good criteria. The students’ learning outcomes of the experimental group are excellent with the average of individual cognitive, individual affective, and the group affective score of 96. The students' learning outcomes of the field test group are excellent with the average of individual cognitive, individual affective, and group affective score of 97. The percentage of teachers and students’ response rate are 96%, excellent qualifications. It applies qualitative descriptive and descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the development findings, it can be concluded that the development of anecdote learning with STAD Model and Make A Match on the tenth grade senior high school students can be employed by teachers in the classroom learning.

Abstract

                                                 AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk sapaan anak perempuan dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pemilihan bentuk sapaan tersebut dalam bahasa Batak Toba pada lirik lagu Boru Panggoaran, Boru Buha Baju, dan Supir Panjang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan sosiolinguistik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan teknik simak dan catat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode padan dan agih. Objek penelitian adalah seluruh kata sapaan yang digunakan untuk menyapa anak perempuan dalam lirik lagu Boru Panggoaran, Boru Buha Baju dan Supir Panjang.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bentuksapaan yang digunakan terhadap anak perempuan dalam bahasa Batak Toba pada lirik lagu Boru Panggoaran, Boru Buha Baju dan Supir Panjang, antara lain: (1) kata sapaan berdasarkan hubungan kekerabatan meliputi boru dan inang, kata sapaan berdasarkan urutan kelahiran meliputi boru panggoaran dan boru buha baju, kata sapaan berdasarkan panggilan kesayangan meliputi boru hasian dan kata sapaan berdasarkan gelar meliputi boru ni raja. Bentuk kata sapaan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor usia, jenis kelamin, situasi, dan status sosial.Kata Kunci: lirik lagu, bahasa Batak Toba, bentuk sapaan anak perempuan                                                  AbstractThis study aims to describe the terms of address of a daughter and the factors affecting to it in Batak Toba language on the lyrics of “Boru Panggoaran, Boru Buha Bajuand Supir Panjang”. It uses sociolinguistics approach. It applies qualitative-descriptive method with scrutinize and note taking techniques. The data analysis uses quality and distributional methods. The object of the researh is the address terms of a daughter in the lyrics of “Boru Panggoaran, Boru Buha Baju dan SupirPanjang”. The result shows that the address terms of daughter on those lyrics are based on the kinship terms such as “boruand inang”, the birth order such as “boru panggoaran and boru buha baju”, terms of endearment such as “boru hasian”, and titles such “asboru ni raja”. Also, it reveals that age, sex, situation and social status affect the terms of address chosen.Keywords: lyrics, batak toba language, address terms of daughter

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe intrinsic elements of character and characterization using structural analysis in three short stories of East Kalimantan. It discusses about (1) forms of the story, (2) character and characterization distributions, and (3) characters’ personality in "Selamat Tinggal Jakarta", "Pembualan", and "Pilihan Galuh" short stories. This research uses descriptive-qualitative method. It applies the theory of intrinsic structuralism. In addition, descriptive analysis techniques are used to describe the data. Analytical technique is also used to determine the meaning of the story content. The results of this study show different idealism of the characters in those short stories. Those characteristics and attitudes reveal characters’ relationships in an integrated and mutually supportive unit.

Abstract

It is a classroom action research. It discusses about how to improve news text writing skills using project based learning model in class XII Multimedia students of SMK Negeri 1 Samarinda in the academic year of 2017/2018. The subjects of this research are students of class XII Multimedia since their average scores are below minimum mastery criteria (MMC) compared to  other classes. The data collected here are texts of learning outcomes, observations of student and teacher activities, and portfolios. The data validity is divided into technique validity and source validity. Technique validity is in the form of observations, the score of student projects, documentations of result projects, and interviews. In order to triangulate the data, the researcher collects the information from observers, students, and informants of the student projects. It applies qualitative descriptive techniques. The indicators used here are individual scores (MMC 75) and the classical scores (80% of MMC). On the first cycle, 24 students or 61.5% do not reach MMC and only 15 students or 38.5% reach MMC, while on the second cycle, 39 students reach MMC 75.

Abstract

                                                             AbstrakDua cerpen Kalimantan Timur, yaitu “Banjirkap” dan “Batun Kokoq” bercerita tentang eksploitasi hutan Kalimantan. Ekslpoitasi hutan tersebut berakibat pada kehidupan masyarakat sekitarnya. Tulisan ini berupaya untuk mengungkapkan proses eksploitasi dan proses adaptasi masyarakatnya setelah itu dengan menggunakan teori budaya dan pendekatan ekologi budaya. Perubahan sebagai akibat eksploitasi tidak hanya berupa perubahan lingkungan, tetapi juga perubahan budaya yang meliputi mata pencaharian, sosial, yaitu gaya hidup dan perilaku masyarakatnya. Manusia berupaya beradaptasi dengan berbagai cara setelah perubahan alam.Kata kunci: eksploitasi, teori budaya, ekologi budaya, hutan , adaptasi                                                                                                                          AbstractTwo East Kalimantan short stories, “Banjirkap” and “Batun Kokoq”, are about the forest exploitation in Kalimantan. The exploitation affected the people’s life around the forest. This paper tries to reveal the processes of the exploitation and the people’s adaptation using the cultural theory and cultural ecological approach. Theexploitation affects not only the ecosystem change but also the cultural change, like occupation, and the social change, like lifestyle and people’s behavior. Abstract

It is a comparative historical linguistic study that discusses about the kinship of Benuaq, Tonyooi, and Bahau languages. Those are used and exist in East Kalimantan. This research is quantitative by using lexicostatistics of Swadesh-200 lists and also qualitative by describing the kinship of those languages. The lexicostatistical calculations indicate that those three languages are related. Benuaq and Tonyooi language relation percentage is 46.15%. Benuaq and Bahau language relation percentage is 27.18%. Tonyooi and Bahau language relation percentage is 30.77%. It shows that Benuaq and Tonyooi languages are classified as one language family, Benuaq and Bahau are classified as one language group, and Tonyooi and Bahau are classified as one language group. Thus, those three languages are not classified as one language.
