Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the results of research that has been published regarding the effect of parental involvement in child care on parental stress and anxiety in the intensive care unit. The method used is a systematic review through search strategies on eight electronic databases with the keywords used (Parent involvement OR Parent participation OR Family Integrity Care OR Family Centered Care) AND (pediatric intensive care OR PICU OR NICU) AND (Parent Stress OR Parent anxiety). The search results obtained 12 articles that would be assessed for quality with the guidance of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Research results show that parental involvement in child care in intensive care can reduce parental stress and anxiety. The highest significance was seen in the Family Integrated Care (FICare) program (p < 0.00043) and Family Centered Care (FCC) (p < 0.001) in the NICU room. In conclusion, all forms of parental involvement can reduce stress and anxiety, but parental involvement in child care in the PICU room is still limited. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of peripheral intravenous catheter replacement on clinical indications of complications in children. The method used is a review of eight articles on the impact of intravenous catheter replacement on clinical presentations on the incidence of complications in children using the ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Ebscohost, and Scopus databases. The inclusion criteria for the articles reviewed were research articles published in 2002-2022, accessible in full text and English. The exclusion criteria were articles not accessible in full text and check reports. The study's results obtained eight pieces that followed the study's objectives. The results of a systematic review of complications, 4 of 8 research articles showed that intravenous catheter replacement according to clinical indications did not significantly increase the risk of intravenous catheter complications; three research articles showed no significant difference to intravenous catheter complications.Regarding the survival time of intravenous catheters, of the eight articles reviewed, three reports stated that those replaced based on clinical indications had a longer survival time than those replaced routinely. Meanwhile, from cost efficiency, three articles said that routine catheter replacement increased hospital expenses. In conclusion, replacing intravenous catheters according to clinical indications has a more positive effect on pediatric patients. If surveillance for signs and symptoms of intravenous catheter complications is carried out regularly, signs of intravenous catheter complications can be detected early. Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between the use of conventional ultrafiltration and the incidence of postoperative acute kidney injury associated with the help of a cardiopulmonary bypass machine. The method used is a systematic review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) flowchart to obtain five selected literature. The results showed a relationship between conventional ultrafiltration fluid volume shifts and the incidence of post-cardiac surgery acute kidney injury. In conclusion, ultrafiltration fluid volume displacement > 32 mL/kg will increase the risk of acute kidney injury after cardiac surgery. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of family psychoeducation in reducing the burden on families who experience stigma as tuberculosis clients and have a history of drug withdrawal. The research method used was a case report on one family with one caregiver who experienced the burden and anxiety of tuberculosis clients with a history of drug withdrawal. Interviews and observations used the Hamilton Rating Scale (HARS) instrument on caregivers and the Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) instrument. The results showed that family psychoeducation with six sessions at four meetings could reduce anxiety and burden on caregivers with an initial HARS score of 29 to 16 (mild anxiety) and a ZBI score of 44 to 34 (light-moderate perceived burden). In conclusion, family psychoeducation affects client adherence to treatment; in family psychoeducational interventions, health workers coordinate with caregivers to reduce anxiety and increase caregiver knowledge about the client's illness. Family psychoeducation also plays a role in overcoming social and self-stigma in clients and families. Keywords: Family Psychoeducation, Drug Dropout, Stigma, Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of organizational factors and motivation on the performance of nurses in implementing PPI. The method used is descriptive-analytic with a cross-sectional approach. This study used a questionnaire conducted in 15 inpatient rooms at Haji Surabaya Hospital with 126 nurses. The sample collection technique uses purposive sampling. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the results of the F test hypothesis on organizational factor variables (X1) and motivation (X2) had a value of F < (alpha) 0.05, namely 0.004 and 0.000 so that corporate and motivational factor variables had a significant influence on nurse performance variables in implementing PPI. In conclusion, organizational and motivational factors have a substantial effect on the performance of nurses in the implementation of PPI. Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of the bride and groom based on their experiences in obtaining pre-wedding education. This qualitative research used a phenomenological approach by conducting in-depth interviews with nine pairs of prospective brides. A qualitative research method with a phenomenological study approach is applied in this study. The collection process is carried out through in-depth interviews, recording, and documentation of activities. For triangulation needs, discussions have been conducted with religious affairs office staff who provide briefings for the prospective bride and groom. The results of the direct interview recordings were written in transcript form and analyzed using content analysis. The results showed five themes, including worries before marriage, complicated new roles, doubts about forming a happy family, urgent economic needs, and modest family support. Psychological preparation has a significant influence on the condition of family harmony, so it must be well prepared. Abstract

This study aims to identify literacy in health institutions regarding mental health as a foundation for designing mental health literacy improvement programs. A survey was conducted with students and staff of college health education institutions to investigate the Understanding of depression, intentions to seek help, beliefs about interventions, and stigmatizing attitudes. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional and quantitative approach to determine the percentage of mental health literacy. The participants in this study were nursing students from several health institutions in Indonesia and involved staff from participating health institutions via telephone interviews. Participants answered research questions related to mental health literacy. The results showed that after the interviews were completed, 270 students (91%) and 24 staff (9%). More than 60% of students and staff can recognize depression, and most are female. Some 75% of respondents said they would seek help if they had a problem similar to the illustration for depression. However, the level of intention to seek special assistance for students is relatively low; only 20% choose a doctor, and only 2% seek the help of a counselor in dealing with mental health problems. Factors related to stigmatization include male gender, younger age, lower education level, and lack of Understanding of depression. In conclusion, there is a need for mental health literacy interventions aimed at college students, especially those who are younger, male, and with lower levels of education. A need fulfillment strategy is needed to help seek professional assistance, referring to the results of exploring the complexity of the obstacles experienced.
