Abstract

Abstracts: Many studies conducted by prominent scholars found that Islamic boarding school in Indonesia have been playing its roles not only in religious and education matter but also in the other areas, such as social, economic and environment. This study sought to analyze the impact of the presence of Islamic boarding school on the religiosity of surrounding Muslim communities the object of the study is households who live in seven villages surrounding the Islamic boarding school Amanatul Ummah, Mojokerto regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. To measure the level of Muslim religiosity, the study used the value of the Five Pillars of Islam dimensions based on the 5-point Likert Scale. By comparing the average value of religiosity of each dimension, it can be drawn a conclusion whether there is a significant positive impact or not. The study found that the average value of Muslim religiosity after the presence of an Islamic boarding school is greater than that before. These findings show that the presence of an Islamic boarding school has a significant positive impact on the surrounding Muslim religiosity. Moreover, the study observes that Islamic boarding school has been practicing a moderate way in Islamic religious proselytizing that makes surrounding communities feel comfortable to adapt and change.Keywords: the Five Pillars of Islam, Islamic boarding school, moderate teaching, religiosityAbstrak: Beberapa penelitian yang dilakukan para ahli menemukan bahwa pondok-pondok pesantren di Indonesia telah memainkan perannya tidak hanya dalam persoalan agama dan pendidikan, tetapi juga bidang lain, seperti masalah sosial, ekonomi, dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak keberadaan pondok pesantren tingkat religiusitas masyarakat Muslim di sekitarnya. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah rumah-tangga yang berada di 7 desa di sekitar pondok pesantren Amanatul Ummah, Kabupaten Mojokerto, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Untuk mengukur tingkat religiusitas kaum Muslim, penelitian ini menggunakan the Value of the Five Pillars of Islam Dimensions berdasarkan pada Skala Likert dengan rentang 5 poin (the 5-point Likert Scale). Dengan membandingkan rata-rata nilai tingkat religiusitas setiap dimensi (the average value of each dimension) sebelum dan sesudah keberadaan pondok pesantren, kita dapat menarik sebuah konklusi apakah ada dampak positif atau tidak. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa rata-rata nilai dari religiusitas Muslim sesudah keberadaan pondok pesantren adalah lebih besar dibandingkan dengan sebelumnya. Dengan demikian, temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan pondok pesantren mempunyai dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap religiusitas masyarakat Muslim di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini lebih lanjut telah mengamati dan mendapatkan kenyataan bahwa pondok pesantren telah mempraktikkan dakwah agama Islam dengan cara moderat yang membuat masyarakat di sekitarnya merasa nyaman untuk beradaptasi, mengadopsi dan berubah.Kata kunci: the Five Pillars of Islam, moderate way, pondok pesantren, religiosity

Abstract

Abstract: Learning motivation is students’ willingness to study that comes from within. The objective of this research was to find out Senior High School students’ learning motivation level for physics subject. The subjects of this research were 60 students from Science Class of Senior High School 5 Surakarta who were randomly selected. A questionnaire was used as an instrument to measure students’ learning motivation. The result showed that students’ learning motivation in physics subject was categorized as medium level with an average score of 20.42. The percentage for each aspect was as follows: attention (24.33%), relevance (24.98%), confidence (24.33%), and satisfaction (25.71%).Keywords: ARCS, learning, motivation, physicsAbstrak: Motivasi belajar merupakan daya dorong dari dalam diri siswa untuk belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi belajar siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas untuk mata pelajaran fisika. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 60 siswa jurusan MIPA yang dipilih secara random. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengukur motivasi belajar adalah angket. Angket motivasi dikembangkan berdasarkan aspek ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, tingkat motivasi belajar siswa untuk mata pelajaran fisika termasuk kategori sedang dengan rata-rata 20,42. Persentase dari masing-masing aspek motivasi belajar adalah Attention/perhatian (24,33%), Relevance/relevansi (24,98%), Confidence/percaya diri (24,33%) dan Satisfaction/kepuasan (25,71%).Kata kunci: ARCS, belajar, fisika, motivasi

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims at improving processing skills and learning outcome of students on stoichiometry concept. First stage was instructional instrument development, the second stage was trials on X graders of Senior High School using One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The results of this research showed that (1) the developed instructional instrument is good and reliable, (2) the lesson plan was well-accomplished, (3) students activity were positive during the learning, (4) students response were positive, (5) the cognitive learning iutcomes of product and process have met minimum criteria of mastery learning, (6) the improvement of processing skill is in the category of high gain. To sum up, the developed instructional instrument could improve students processing skill and learning outcomes.Keyword: guided inquiry, learning outcomes, process skill, pure cartoonAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep stoikiometri. Tahap pertama adalah pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran, tahap kedua adalah ujicoba pada siswa kelas X SMA menggunakan One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1. perangkat pembelajaran berkategori baik dan reliabel, 2. RPP dapat terlaksana dengan baik, 3. aktivitas siswa sangat positif dalam pembelajaran, 4. respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran sangat positif, 5. hasil belajar kognitif produk dan proses menunjukkan ketuntasan KKM; 6. peningkatan keterampilan proses berada pada kategori high gain. Abstract

Abstract: The teaching of Islamic education in elementary school in Indonesia has not been widely explored by researchers, while this subject is particularly important in developing students’ character. This study aimed to describe the teaching of Islamic Education in elementary school in Malang, particularly in terms of the use of instructional media. Qualitative method with case study observational design and multi-site research design was chosen to meet the aim, including the use of structured-interview and observation as means of data collection. By using qualitative data analysis, it was found that (1) there were diverse teaching methods used by teachers, (2) teachers used various instructional media, both conventional and modern, (3) the quantity and quality of supporting facilities of the PAI lesson were considered sufficient, and (4) there were some internal as well as external factors that either supported or hampered the teaching of Islamic Education in elementary school.Keywords: elementary school, Islamic education, learningmediaAbstrak: Kajian mengenai pengajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Sekolah Dasar selama ini relatif belum banyak dilakukan. Padahal sebagai mata pelajaran inti, PAI mempunyai peranan penting dalam pembentukan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan bagaimana pembelajaran PAI di Sekolah Dasar di Malang Raya berlangsung, khususnya bagaimana penggunaan multimedia dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus observasional dan multisitus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipilih adalah wawancara terstruktur dan observasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dalam mengajarkan PAI cukup variatif, (2) terdapat beragam media yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran PAI. Selain media konvensional, sebagian guru menggunakan multimedia modern, (3) fasilitas pendukung pembelajaran PAI di SD dapat dikatakan cukup memadai, dan (4) faktor pendukung maupun penghambat penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran PAI di SD bersumber dari internal sekolah dan luar sekolah.Kata kunci: media pembelajaran, pendidikan agama Islam (PAI), sekolah dasar

Abstract

Abstract: The Research and Development study aimed to develop a instructional media for math lesson using valid, practical, and effective humanity-value teaching model to prevent juvenile delinquency. To achieve the objective, the prototypical study was conducted using 3 phase development, namely (1) early assessment phase or front-end analysis, (2) the development phase consisting of expert validation and tryout I, and (3) the evaluation phase through tryout II using a quasi experiment design with anacova data analysis. The result from the first year development (2015) was the instructional media for junior high school using a valid humanity-value teaching model to prevent various kinds of juvenile delinquency. The products developed from the current research were in the form of lesson plan, teacher’s book, student book, and student worksheets. The products were in the form of draft of the instructional set which was valid.Keywords: instructional media, junior high school, mathematics, MPNK modelAbstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika SMP berpandu Model Pembelajaran Nilai Kemanusiaan (MPNK), yang valid, praktis, dan efekktif guna mencegah kenakalan remaja.Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah prototypical studies melalui tiga tahap pengembangan. Tiga tahap tersebut yakni: (1) fase hulu hilir, (2) fase pengembangan melalui kegiatan validasi oleh pakar dan kegiatan uji coba I; (3) fase penilaian melalui kegiatan uji coba II dengan rancangan “Quasi- Expriment” dan datanya dianalisis dengan Anacova. Hasil yang telah diperoleh untuk pengembangan tahun I (2015) adalah produk perangkat pembelajaran matematika SMP berpandu MPNK, yang valid dalam rangka mencegah berbagai bentuk kenakalan remaja. Produk yang telah diperoleh dari hasil penelitian ini berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Buku Guru, Buku Siswa, dan Lembar Kerja Siswa. Produk tersebut berupa Draft Perangkat Pembelajaran yang telah memenuhi kualitas valid.Kata kunci: matematika, model MPNK, perangkat pembelajaran, SMP
