Abstract

As a Islamic educational institutions, pesantren produces not only ulama’ who are capable to guide Muslim to the right way, but also many fatwa as solutions for Muslim community problems. This study tries to reveal how the Muslim community gives meaning of fatwa from pesantren. The results of this study shows that Muslim society vary in give meaning to fatwa. They are divided into three groups, namely: the dogmatic community, logical community, and pragmatic community. The existence of these groups is caused by education background, intensity of communication, and vested interests of the community.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah  and  NU  are  two  of  the  greatest   Islamic  Organizations  in  Indonesia which have colored the dynamic of nation religious life. Through both organisazion, there are many fatwas issued on which the each follower undertake their religious. If viewed from products, the fatwas were issued by Muhammadiyah and NU often indicate some difference.  This  reality  can  be  understood  because  both  organization  have  the  different mecanism of legal istinbath. The fact that Muhammadiyah by Majlis Tarjih and NU by Bahtsul Masailnya have a difference approach so that fatwas issued by each organization difference as well. This paper will elaborate the dinamic of difference between Majelis Tarjih of Muhammadiyah and Bahtsul Masail of NU. Muhammadiyah dan NU adalah dua ormas Islam terbesar di Indonesia yang selama ini mampu  mewarnai  dinamika  kehidupan  beragama  bangsa  ini.  Melalui  keduanya  telah lahir banyak produk hukum (baca: fatwa) yang dijadikan pegangan oleh masing-masing pengikutnya dalam menjalani kehidupan beragama. Dilihat dari sisi produk, selama ini fatwa yang dikeluarkan oleh Muhammadiyah dan NU seringkali menunjukkan perbedaannya. Hal ini sangat bisa dimaklumi mengingat bahwa dua organisasi ini mempunyai mekanisme yang  berbeda  dalam  melakukan  istinbath  hukum.  Kenyataan  bahwa  Muhammadiyah melalui Majlis Tarjih dan NU melalui Lembaga Bahtsul Masailnya memiliki pendekatan yang berbeda dalam melakukan istinbath hukum, karena itu tidak mengherankan jika fatwa yang dikelurkan juga berbeda. Tulisan ini akan menggambarkan dinamika perbedaan yang terjadi dalam Majelis Tarjih Muhammadiyah dan Lembaga Bahtsul Masail NU.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of extracurricular activities in Arabic at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, Paiton-Probolinggo, which includes: 1) Types of activities, 2) Planning activities, 3) Implementation of activities, and 4) Evaluating activities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The qualitative data in this study included extracurricular activities in Arabic. The data sources of this research are the core management and students in the LPBA. The instrument is the researcher himself (human instrument). Data collection was obtained through the results of distributing questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed a number of things, namely (1) twelve extracurricular activities attended by students at ula and wushta levels with the hope that students often get used to listening to hiwar or Arabic conversations from native Arabs, and can apply them in daily conversations. day (2) Planning activities consist of student organizations, curriculum, schedule arrangements, activity themes, and regulations, (3) This activity is carried out every night after teaching and learning activities (KBM) and Friday from morning to evening, and (4) Evaluation of this activity is carried out once a month with the aim of finding solutions to problems experienced by students.

Abstract

The ideology of Brunei Darussalam contributes in shaping the [Islamic] Education system. Politically, Brunei applies the concept of Malay, Islam, Beraja (MIB) as an ideological basis. This research is oriented to two main discussions. First is the historical trajectory of MIB in Brunei and its relation to the education system. The second is the dimension of educational philosophy and Islamic education philosophy in Brunei by drawing its relation to the MIB. This research uses a qualitative-naturalistic approach. This research was conducted in Brunei, October 2019. Data was collected through interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), observation, document and literature studies. In data collection, this research involved academics from Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU) and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA). The findings show that the MIB is related to the model perennialism and progressivism. However, from Islamic education philosophy, MIB gives a traditionalist style to the mazhabi and modernist education system.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Akhlak bagi anak-anak adalah sesuatu yang sangat penting dalam rangka membentuk manusia yang berkualitas. Banyak media bisa dipakai untuk mengajarkan akhlak kepada anak-anak, satu diantaranya adalah berita-berita yang dimuat di media masa. Oleh karena karakter dasar anak adalah ingin meniru segala apa yang mereka lihat dan dengar, maka penyampaian berbagai informasi dari media masa baik elektronik maupun cetak, yang notabene tidak asing bagi anak-anak akan menjadi daya tarik tersendiri dalam mengajarkan akhlak. Namun demikian, kepiawaian guru sebagai pihak yang mengarahkan dan memaknai setiap berita tetap menjadi penentu keberhasilan penggunaan media ini.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pada era digital seperti ini, anak-anak lebih tertarik bermain game pada smartphone mereka sampai muncul fenomena kecanduan game, daripada harus membaca Iqro apalagi Al-Quran. Peneliti bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi penggunaan mobile game base learning dalam pembelajaran huruf hijaiyah. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Kuesioner yang dikembangkan menggunakan TAM (Technology Acceptance Model). Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, kegunaan dan kemudahan mobile game based learning hijaiyah dipercaya dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah dan dapat diterima responden. Responden berniat menggunakan kembali mobile game based learning dimasa mendatang. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi rujukan atau kontribusi tentang TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) dalam penggunaan mobile game based learning hijaiyah.Abstract: In this digital era, children are more interested in playing games on their smartphones until the phenomenon of game addiction arises, rather than having to read Iqro let alone the Qur’an. Researchers aimed to determine the perception of the use of mobile game base learning in learning hijaiyah letters. In this study using a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The technique used in data collection uses survey techniques through questionnaires. The questionnaire was developed using TAM (Technology Acceptance Model). Based on the results obtained, the usefulness and ease of mobile game-based learning hijaiyah is believed to improve the ability to read hijaiyah letters and be acceptable to respondents. Respondents intend to reuse mobile game based learning in the future. This research can be a reference or contribution about TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) on using mobile game based learning hijaiyah.

Abstract

In study of Islamic law there is an interesting topic to discuss, that is maqasid al-shari‘ah. Recently some Muslim scholars study further the applying of principle of daruriyat al-khamsah in a legal problem. Unfortunately Islamic jurists often apply the principle of daruriyat al-khamsah independently apart from other sciences besides usul al-fiqh. Difficulties and failure in deciding many contemporary legal problems rise to the result. Jasser Audah, a Muslim scholar from Egypt and lives in London proposes new idea to cope with this problem. According to Audah, at first we must separate maqasid al-shari‘ah from usul alfiqh in order to be independent knowledge. Then we combine it with modern sciences in studying legal problem. Only through this method, Auda believes that Islamic law will be more adaptable with the changing situation. In order to do his idea in developing maqasid al-shari‘ah, Auda specifically suggests five steps, that are: validating all cognitios, holism, openness and self-renewal, multi-dimensionality, and purposefulness.

Abstract

AbstrakKeberadaan pondok pesantren yang ada di Indonesia, sangat mengagumkan. Abstract

Sebagian potret Indonesia di masa datang dapat diprediksi dari apa yang diperoleh anak-anak generasi sekarang lewat media, khususnya media soasial yang orientasinya mengekplorasi kehidupan hedon dan materialis termasuk penggiringan opini ektrim. Ungkapan ini semakin memperkuat bahwa gerakan literasi penting untuk dijadikan sebuah agenda bersama termasuk bagi kalangan pesantren. Selain mengagumkan, pesantren juga memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar dalam memberi pemahaman, penghayatan, serta pengamalan ajaran keagamaan (tafaqquh fiddin) dalam kehidupan umat Islam. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan sasaran pondok pesantren di Malang raya  Jawa timur, bertujuan menumbuhkan kesadaran literasi santri, meningkatkan wawasan dan kemampuan santri dalam pengajaran dan dakwah melalui kegiatan literasi; dan meningkatkan keterampilan santri dalam mengelola komunitas literasi untuk kepentingan pembelajaran dan dakwah keislaman.. Metode yang digunakan mencakup analisis kebutuhan, pengumpulan data, penyusunan bahan, pelatihan literasi berbahan informasi media serta evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa kesadaran literasi guru dan santri semakin baik, terutama dalam daya kritisnya untuk tetap mamahami prinsip islam moderat.Kata kunci— Era Digital, Islam Moderat, Literasi santri, Media Sosial, Pesantren Abstract Some portraits of Indonesia in the future can be predicted from what the children of the present generation will obtainthrough the media, especially social media whose orientation is to explore hedonistic and materialist life, including the promotion of extreme opinions. This expression further strengthens that the literacy movement is important to become a common agenda, including for the pesantren. Apart from being amazing, pesantren also have a huge influence in providing understanding, appreciation, and practice of religious teachings (tafaqquh fiddin) in the lives of Muslims. This community service is carried out with the aim of the Islamic boarding school in Malang Raya, East Java, aimed at fostering awareness of the literacy of the students, increasing the insights and abilities of the students in teaching and da’wah through literacy activities; and improve the skills of students in managing literacy communities for the benefit of Islamic learning and da’wah. The methods used include needs analysis, data collection, material preparation, literacy training based on media information and evaluation. The results of the activity show that the literacy awareness of teachers and students is getting better, especially in their critical power to continue to understand the principles of moderate Islam. Keywords— Digital Era, Moderate Islam, Islamic Literacy, Social Media, Islamic Boarding Schools
