Abstract

In the face of the problem of high complexity of two-dimensional Otsu adaptive threshold algorithm, a new fast and effective Otsu image segmentation algorithm is proposed based on genetic algorithm. This algorithm replaces the segmentation threshold of the traditional two - dimensional Otsu method by finding the threshold of two one-dimensional Otsu method, it reduces the computational complexity of the partition from O (L4) to O (L). In order to ensure the integrity of the segmented object, the algorithm introduces the concept of small dispersion in class, and the automatic optimization of parameters are achieved by genetic algorithm. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the algorithm is not only better than the original two-dimensional Otsu algorithm, but also it has better segmentation effect.

Abstract

This paper presents a heuristic based model for groceries shopping navigator that attempts to improve the navigation problem that usually face by customers while doing their shopping. A system known as Shopping Navigator or shortly SHoNa was developed to give the optimal sequence of shelves to be visited by the customer and the total estimated shopping time so that the user can plan their shopping task earlier. Genetic algorithm was employed and implemented in a web-based platform that is compatible with other devices such as smartphones and tablets. SHoNA can minimize the shopping time by identifying the most optimal order of shelves inside the supermarket that needs to be visited by the customer. A series of experimental was performed in producing the optimum model. Our findings showed that the combination of order one crossover and inverse mutation produced a better optimal performance, which is the minimum total amount of groceries shopping time.  SHoNA can be further enhanced with visualization features for a better shopping experience.

Abstract

The accurate modeling of micro-grid access to power system planning and design stage needs is the primary problem to solve. This paper modeled the micro grid photovoltaic power generation system ,including silicon solar cell, photovoltaic inverters, battery energy storage system, and the micro power distribution system .The use of power system analysis software (DIGSILENT) of actual power system simulation, the simulation results verify the model's correctness. In the power grid fault disturbance, the light intensity of disturbance and the load disturbances, the simulation results show that the optical storage combined with micro network has fast dynamic response characteristics, and its network of grid-connected voltage influenced by the changes of the light and load is little, while more affected by the network fault influence. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5471

Abstract

Sensor Network Composition is a new area involving important technological need. Some of the main difficulties are to correctly describe Interaction Framework and Complexity of Sensor Network Systems. Abstract interaction logic can be seen as a new technique for representing fuzzy Complexity mechanism. In this paper, we have presented a solution to use Complexity of Sensor Network Systems in Sensor Network analysis. We have proposed methods for analyzing Sensor Network based on an abstract interaction definition. The user’s logics are formalized as abstract concepts. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.2175

Abstract

The project aim is to build a smart, little power bicycle dashboard with advanced vision sensor to find whether the rider is wearing a helmet or not and allows start/stop the bike ignition system. Even while riding the bicycle, the system continues the monitoring process, prevents the fire and sends alert messages to traffic authorities if the helmet not worn at any point in time. An alcohol sensor is built-in within the dashboard to prevent the drunk driving situation. GPS and motion sensors assist the system identifies accident scenario and sends alert SMS to traffic authorities and family members. Twitter’s Sentiment Analysis on Gsm Services using Multinomial Naïve Bayes discussed in [11]. The dashboard unit has a Bluetooth transceiver that helps the system to communicate with an Android mobile app running on the user Smartphone to provide SMS sending capability. Weighted Least Squared Approach to Fault Detection and Isolation for GPS Integrity Monitoring discussed in [10]. This design eliminates building power-hungry GSM modems into the vehicle dashboard thus saving vehicle battery power. Model for Post placement Mousing based on GSM in Long-Distance discussed in [9].

Abstract

An important topic that need to investigate is teaching of English language. In most educational methods, a series of pre-defined and fixed subjects are used for all individuals. There is also less attention paid to modern methods in education of English language. In this paper we present an application as a modern method in education of English language. In the proposed algorithm that is in the internet of things environment, has paid attention to teaching of English language, includes the use of objects, images, pronunciation, the use of vocabulary in sentences and texts, the relevance of content with the age and culture of the child, and the relevance of the content of the courses and exercises with the amount of learning each child.

Abstract

With the advent of the information age, the network security is particularly important. The secure multiparty computation is a very important branch of cryptography. It is a hotspot in the field of information security. It expanded the scope of the traditional distributed computing and information security, provided a new computing model for the network collaborative computing. First we introduced several key technologies of secure multiparty computation: secret sharing and verifiable secret sharing, homomorphic public key cryptosystem, mix network, zero knowledge proof, oblivious transfer, millionaire protocol. Second we discussed the applications of secure multiparty computation in electronic voting, electronic auctions, threshold signature, database queries, data mining, mechanical engineering and other fields. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i7.2827

Abstract

Recently MRF damper -which has a significant controllable damping force - used frequently in many active and semi-active suspension systems. However, MRF damper needs controller to estimate the desired force to dissipate the occurred vibration instantaneously. PID controller is one of the effective feedback controllers which shows robustness and simplicity in control MRF dampers, but still the parameters of the PID controller under study to find out the optimum values. This study focused on the vibration control using Magneto-rheological (MR) damper on a FSAE quarter car suspension test rig to study and obtain the optimum running condition. The test rig was designed, modified and then tested using a P-controller integrated with MR damper, unbalance mass used as disturbance and analyzed using LABVIEW software in time and frequency domains. The natural frequency obtained was 2.2 Hz were similar to the actual FSAE car natural frequency. Based on the acceleration against time graph with different proportional gain value the optimal value for proportional gain, Kp was 1. Hence, the experiment work could be used as the initial stage to study and develop a robust controller to suppress vibration on a car.

Abstract

This paper introduces the design of multichannel acquisition circuit based on FPGA which samples and records the Doppler signals, ignition signal and the working condition of fuze security enforcement agencies of missile fuze in real-time in the test of high speed dynamic intersection. Furthermore, for the problem of increasing number of sample channel which causes the complexity of the multiplexer control, a general programmable channel switching method is proposed based on FPGA. In the method, FPGA is the control core, and using the internal ROM resource effectively simplifies the complexity of channel switch in the multichannel acquisition system. This paper analyzes the acquisition system design, and describes the design of hardware circuit and analog switch address coding in detail. The test result shows that the acquisition circuit meets the design requirements with high sampling precision and application value.
