Abstract

The word ‘automatic’ is unavoidable in this modern technical era. Automation facilitates not only technical advancement and time reduction to several processes, but also provides protection in various aspects. Delivery scam is a commonly occurring crime and it has to be reduced. Product delivery is a long process which involves various people to ensure correct delivery to the customer, providing chances for scam to occur. This paper discusses on an automatic delivery-scam prevention system with the help of Raspberry-Pi controller. This system provides safety to the ordered goods by limiting the authorisation of opening the packages to company and the customer only. It assures the safe and correct delivery of the ordered product.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has succeeded in shaking the whole world. This situation requires medical personnel to work extraordinarily to treat COVID-19 patients with very high risk of transmission. For this reason, this study aimed to helping medical personnel handle COVID-19 patients through robotic technology. The development method in this study is proposed as a way to develop robots to serve patients in isolation rooms controlled at a distance away from other rooms. From technical testing, the movement of the robot with a load of 12.59 kg only experienced a speed slowdown which was not too significant, namely at 0.43s with an average percentage of slowdown of 8.96%. The accuracy of the proximity sensor testing is close to perfect with an accuracy percentage of 99.62%. The robot control distance was monitored and running well. Also, the increase in motor temperature is not too large, supported by measurement results of 32.13%. From non-technical testing, based on the test results of the feasibility test of all respondents with 25 indicators reached a feasibility level of 91.46%. In other words, healthcare mobile robots developed for helping medical personnel in dealing with COVID-19 patients are very feasible to be applied in hospitals.

Abstract

This paper presents a novel approach for improving the computation speed of the ball detection and obstacle detection processes in our robot. The conditions of obstacle detection and ball detection in our robot still have a slow processing speed, this condition makes the robot not real-time and the robot's movement is hampered. To build a good world model, things to note are obstacle information and real-time ball detection. The focus of this research is to increase the speed of the process of the ball and obstacle detection around the robot. To increase the speed of the process, it is necessary to optimize the use of the OpenCV library on the robot operating system (ROS) system to divide the process into several small processes so that the work can be optimally divided into threads that have been created. Then, minimize the use of too many frames. This information will be sent to the base station and also for obstacle avoidance purposes.

Abstract

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is an important wireless technology which utilizes radio frequencies (RFs) for exchanging data between two or more points (tags and readers), that represent an automatic identification (Auto-ID) system. This paper introduces an omnidirectional microstrip antenna operates at 2.45 GHz used for a radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology. The length of the proposed antenna is 36.5 mm and the width is 27 mm. The substrate material which has been used as a base of antenna is FR4 that has dielectric constant value of 4.3 and dielectric thickness value of 1.6 mm. Regarding the resonance frequency, return loss of the proposed antenna design is -34.8 dB. A promising directivity outcome of 2.8 dB has been achieved with omnidirectional radiation pattern as well as an acceptable efficiency of 66%. The proposed antenna design accomplishes a wideband frequency of 1.21 GHz in the frequency range of (2.14  3.35) GHz. The computer simulation technology (CST) microwave studio software has been used for implementing the proposed antenna design. The antenna design fabricatation and its characteristics have been measured using vector network analyzer (type MS4642A). The obtained results of the experimental design achieve a little bit differences as compared with the simulation results

Abstract

Sentiment analysis was a system for recognizing and extracting opinions in documents. There were two weaknesses in sentiment analysis. The first weakness was preprocessing in sentiment analysis can’t recognize slang words so that important words that should have been recognized became unrecognizable. The Second was the feature extraction process in sentiment analysis only recognized words based on the form of the word but can’t recognize the similar word. In this paper, we proposed spelling checker and wordnet to fix these weaknesses. We also used k-nearest neighbor (KNN), Naïve Bayes, and decision tree as methods for check classify the text. The purpose of this research was first to know the effects of used Wordnet and spelling checkers in sentiment analysis and second was to improve the data processing process in the existing sentiment analysis. The dataset that we used in the research was a list of tweets in Bahasa. The results showed wordnet and spelling checker make a decrease in the valued of false positives, false negatives, and true negatives in the calculation of the confusion matrix. It can increase the accuracy of the K-NN from 43% to 72%, Naïve Bayes from 41% to 71% and decision tree from 47% to 75%.

Abstract

Space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) generates less harmonic distortion in the output voltage or currents, provides more efficient use of supply voltage and better voltage utilization compared with sine pulse width modulation (PWM). In this work, a detailed Simulink implementation for SVPWM for the open loop control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented. Results show the output of the blocks that assembles SVPWM besides the PMSM voltages and currents when exposing the motor to different load torques. The technique of SVPWM enables the load to respond to the change in external load torque. This technique also results in lower total harmonic distortion and better utilization of the direct current (DC) supply compared with traditional sinusoidal pulse width modulation sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM).

Abstract

From a transmission system point of view, any overload on the grid lines during operation in situations such as peak load or emergency conditions include line outage or generator outage, is refers to congestion. Generally, the congestion can be managed by controlling power flow. On the other hand, series compensation has a significant role in control power flow; therefore, series compensation equipment like fixed series capacitor (FSC), thyristor-controlled series capacitor (TCSC), and static synchronous series compensator (SSSC) can be used for congestion management. In this paper, an SSSC is used in a transmission line to manage congestion in emergency conditions, line outage and generator outage. The congestion rent contribution method has been used to determine the location of the SSSC in the IEEE 14-bus test system. This technique finds the transmission line 1-2 (from bus 1 to bus 2) is the best location of the SSSC to reduce congestion. After installing an SSSC in the specified line, simulation results show that the power flow has been controlled, leading to reducing the congestion. In other words, the effectiveness of the SSSC can be seen in reducing the total congestion rent, the total generation cost, and network losses.

Abstract

The internet of things (IoT) is one of the most advanced technologies that have emerged in the last decade. In recent years, IoT has been used in many medical fields. With the emergence of the Coronavirus pandemic, some IoT technologies were employed to serve the health sector to make quick and accurate decisions to save people's lives. However, there are still many ideas and works not yet implemented that could be applied in many aspects to preserve people's lives. Therefore, it is necessary to collect works and ideas that depend on IoT to produce modern systems quickly to serve the health sector. In this paper, a review of the most recent technologies of IoT against Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been done. A comparative and analysis among the previous works have been done to reach the most efficient depending on comparing the services that each work has provided. Besides that, suggest several new ideas that can be adopted as systems use IoT technologies and the expected advantages that can be gain from applying these ideas. A framework for a proposed idea to build a comprehensive monitoring system based on IoT technologies on the patient and hospital sides and expected advantages of implementing the system has been done.

Abstract

This paper highlights the barriers that have led to a delay in the implementation of E-Health services in Iraq. A new framework is proposed to improve the E-Health sector using a SECI model which describes how explicit and tacit knowledge is generated, transferred, and recreated in organizations through main stages (socialization, externalization, combination and internalization). Class association rules (CARs) is integrated to mine the SECI model by extracting related rules which correspond to the medical advice. The proposed framework (SECICAR) can be done through a web portal to assemble healthcare professionals, patients in one environment. SECICAR will be applied to the hypertension community to show that disease if left untreated, frequently leads to serious illnesses such as heart disease. The SECICAR aims to facilitate the dissemination of tacit knowledge, which is explicit to hypertensives, in the form of strategies, guidelines and best practices. The validation of the SECICAR results displays satisfactory accuracy and reliability. Heuristic evaluation was used to test the web portal, the participants stating that there were no major issues regarding its usability.

Abstract

Multilevel inverters offers eminent solutions to high voltage high power applications due to the association of several devices in a series configuration. In this paper, a comparative investigation of both 15 and 17 level cascaded h-bridge multi level inverter with cross h-bridge fed permanent magnet synchronous motor are presented by appropriate simulations and mathematical analysis. Comparative analysis includes Inverter output voltage and current, number of switching devices, stator current and speed of PMSM and total harmonic distortion levels. Limitation of several switching devices, which can afford high voltage in the inverter is the major problems raised in this study. The advantage of this analysis is to figure out the appropriate inverter that can be used for real time application by considering the factors via. Harmonic distortion, output voltage, current, number of switching devices etc. Validation of the analysis is processed through matlab/simulink platform.
