The telecommunication numbering system in Indonesia currently complies to the International TelecommunicationUnion (ITU) standard, that is ITU-T E.164. In accordance to both technology development and the growing of network users, ITU has also been designing future infrastructure network concept, namely Next Generation Network Infrastructure (NGNI). In its technical paper, ITU discusses future generation’s specification as well as current network migration scenarios towards Next Gereration Network (NGN) in developing countries and its impact on regulations, business processes, and the numbering system. The scenario described in the concept is yet universal and the implementation would be highly depending on the conditions of ones country. This paper proposes the roadmap of numbering system from the current state into NGN numbering for the case of Indonesia. The method used in this paper are benchmarking with several countries that have started with the transformation process, forecasting with regression method based on the existing trends and descriptive analysis. This paper has proposed the stages of numbering roadmap towards NGN numbering system, the achievement parameters, and the indicators that are suitable for Indonesia.

Sentiment analysis become very useful since the rise of social media and online review website and, thus, the requirement of analyzing their sentiment in an effective and efficient way. We can consider sentiment analysis as text classification problem with sentiment as its categories. In this study, we explore the use of Random Forest for sentiment classification in Indonesian language. We also explore the use of bag of words (BOW) features with some term weighting methods variation such as Binary TF, Raw TF, Logarithmic TF and TF.IDF. The experiment result showed that sentiment analysis system using random forest give good performance with average OOB score 0.829. The result also depicted that all of the four term weighting method has competitive result. Since the score difference is not very significant, we can say that the term weighting method variation in study has no remarkable effect for sentiment analysis using Random Forest.

E-commerce has grown exponentially over the years. The growth has been characterized by strong consumer demands and the increasing number of various products available online. This in turn creates a logistical problem and a high demand for an efficient courier service to support the growing markets. It is very important for courier service provider that the delivery of the parcel is being done as fast as possible. One of the courier service’s vital and most crucial business process is in the last mile parcel delivery. This is where an efficient delivery service will be of utmost importance. An efficient system needs to be developed in order to facilitate the interaction between the courier service provider and consumer to precisely determine the optimal route for the parcel delivery. In this paper, an Android-based application system for courier service management with last mile route tracking module is developed. It is a mobile application that eases the courier delivery personnel in finding their way to deliver the parcels to the customer’s doorstep. The application will guide the courier personnel to get a list of courier data such as address and contact information and then navigate them to the selected customers’ addresses based on traffic data retrieved from Google Maps API. It will choose the best route to the address and notify the customers before arriving so that the customers are ready to receive the parcel. This last mile route tracking for parcel delivery will provide the basis for an efficient courier service system.

Cascaded H-Bridge multilevel inverter has become more attractive to generate high power in an electrical distribution system. This paper discusses the control of five level cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter with super capacitor as a Dc energy storage. The control of the multilevel inverter using PI and space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) controllers based on the modelling and Simulink of cascaded H-bridge can observe the effectiveness of the proposed control to reduce harmonic contents of the multilevel inverter output. High frequency ripple from the inverters can be removed from the system using low voltage filter. Total harmonic distortion (THD) for both current and voltage is quite low to meet the IEEE standard. Modelling of the system has been done using MATLAB/Simulink.

A new area operator was proposed to extract axes feature of hair impurity in mushroom semi-product images. This operator was based on the local intensity comparison, and it had two advantages: 1) its outputs reached local maxima at the hair axes; 2) the accurate direction information of the hair axes could be derived by it. After the axes feature of the hairs was extracted using the proposed operator, an extended Kalman filter was applied to track the hairs. The searching path was established when a cost function was minimized. Starting points of the tracking path were found using dyadic wavelet analysis. The proposed algorithm had good adaptivity for the arbitrary orientation of the hairs. The experiment results showed that hairs could be tracked accurately. Safety design of high voltage part is the foundation of the whole automobile design; it is based on safety design requirements of the electric car, and the security function of hardware. The design the different functions of hardware modules are presented, through circuit principle diagram layout of PCB, and circuit board is made, the systems hardware test board is design according to the functional test of the system. Test results show that relative errors between the measurement of insulation resistance value of the safety system and the theoretical value is only 0.3%, thus the rationality of the design calculation model of the insulation resistance is verified. The response times of DC (direct current) contactor are higher than the national standard requirements, so the system security design meets the design requirements. One important application in computer vision is detection of objects. One important application in computer vision is detection of objects. This paper discusses detection of fingertips by using Histogram of Gradients (HOG) as the feature descriptor and Support Vector Machines (SVM) as the classifier. The SVM is trained to produce a classifier that is able to distinguish whether an image contains a fingertip or not. A total of 4200 images were collected by using a commercial-grade webcam, consisting of 2100 fingertip images and 2100 non-fingertip images, were used in the experiment. Our work evaluates the performance of the fingertip detection and the effects of the cell’s size of the HOG and the number of the training data have been studied. It has been found that as expected, the performance of the detection is improved as the number of training data is increased. Additionally, it has also been observed that the 10 x 10 size gives the best results in terms of accuracy in the detection. The highest classification accuracy obtained was less than 90%, which is thought mainly due to the changing orientation of the fingertip and quality of the images.

A microstrip patch antenna is designed for a wearable antenna. The performance of microstrip patch antenna loaded with reactive impedance surface (RIS) is described in terms of gain, bandwidth and return loss. The antenna is investigated in two conditions which are conventional microstrip antenna with RIS and without RIS. The designed antenna is also aimed at size reduction therefore it will be suitable for a wearable application. This antenna which is made fully using textile and it is designed for operation in the 2.45 GHz band. The performance of microstrip patch antenna loaded with RIS is described in terms of gain, bandwidth, return loss and radiation pattern. The antenna designed with RIS operates at 2.45 GHz. Bandwidth enhancement is achieved with RIS where the designed antenna can cater frequency from 2.4 GHz to 3 GHz. A gain enhancement is achieved of 20% is achieved compared with the conventional patch antenna. Although the size of the patch is reduced with the introduction of RIS, the overall size of the antenna with the substrate is almost similar to the conventional patch antenna. However, the performance of the antenna is greatly enhanced with the use of RIS.

In order to reduce the green house gas emission and dependency on conventional energy sources, the utilization of renewable energy sources for electricity generation is increasing day by day. The performance of the wind turbine as well as the power quality is determined according to the guidelines and regulations of IEC-61400 (International Electro-technical Commission) standard. When wind turbine is connected to a grid system, the power quality measurements like active power, reactive power, frequency, voltage sag, voltage swell, flicker and harmonics are needed to be considered. In this paper, a STATCOM (static compensator) model is proposed for improving the power quality in case of feeding electricity generated from the wind turbine into the grid. The proposed STATCOM control scheme for improving the wind power quality is designed and simulated by using Simpower toolbox of MATLAB Simulink. According to the simulated results, the bus voltage is improved after adding STATCOM in the simulated model which justifies the feasibility and practicability of the proposed FACTS (Flexible AC transmission system) device.
