Abstract

Goat droppings and rabbit droppings are types of animal droppings that have not been maximally utilized. If treated with both types of impurities can produce liquid organic fertilizer that can be used in agriculture. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure and rabbit manure on the growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). This research was carried out in the agricultural land in the rice field area of Purbolinggo District, East Lampung. The method used in this study was an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) pattern of one factor, namely the type of liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure and rabbit feces three times. The data obtained were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The best treatment for stem height growth is P1 (liquid fertilizer of 500 ml goat manure), with an average growth of 1.8 cm for one month. The best treatment for the number of leaves is P2 (500 ml rabbit manure liquid fertilizer), with an average growth of 4 leave.

Abstract

Non-linear equations are one of the studies in mathematics. Root search in complex non-linear equations can be solved by numerical methods. Many methods to solve the equation. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to conduct simulation of closed and open methods such as Newton Raphson method, Secant method, Regula Falsi, Fixet Point, and Bisection. This is done as a form of comparative research to see the accuracy, number of iterations, and errors of each method in resolving the non-linear equations. As for the case being resolved is the roots of the exponential equation, trigonometry, logarithmic and polynomial degrees of three. The results of this study resulted in different levels of convergence in resolving each case

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of science-based learning drill towards students' understanding of complex analysis courses. This research employed experimental procedure with one group posttest design. The experimental group consisted of 20 sixth semester students taking complex analysis courses. They were treated with drills on science-based learning procedure followed with a post test that is composed of seven questions. To measure the effectiveness of the procedure, t-test was applied. With a standard value of 70 (value = 70), the computation using SPSS 16 program showed the t test results at a significant level of 5% was 1. 78, t table 1.327, and degrees of freedom (dk = 20-1). Because t arithmetic is greater than t table, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. It can be concluded from the statistical analysis that science-based learning drills are effective to influence students’ understanding of materials in complex analysis courses. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of science-based learning drill towards students' understanding of complex analysis courses. Abstract

In 2017, there were 26,540 drug users in Riau Islands. 3 out of 10 people who undergo rehabilitation has experienced relapse. If drug users can use coping strategies effectively, self-efficacy or confidence can develop well. The implication is that drug users can control themselves so as not to relapse. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between coping strategies and self-efficacy of drug users during rehabilitation. This research is correlational research. The instruments used in this study were the coping scale and self-efficacy. These instruments were used after being tested and declared as valid and reliable. The sample in this study were 35 people who were undergoing a program in the primary program and re-entry program at the Rehabilitation Workshop in BNN Batam which taken by cluster random sampling technique. The findings of this study are (1) the majority of the coping strategies of respondents are at a moderate level with a percentage of 88.57%; (2) the majority of respondents have high level self-efficacy with a percentage of 80%; and (3) there is a relationship between coping strategies and drug users' self-efficacy during the rehabilitation period with p value 0,011. It is expected that drug rehabilitation institutions can increase the level of coping strategies and self-efficacy of drug users in the rehabilitation period by teaching the coping skills and relapse prevention as well as exploring sources of self-efficacy.

The purposes of this research are to determine the influence of MCPV to customer satisfaction of Islamic Banking at Malang Raya dan the role of religiosity in moderating those effects. One hundred and four respondents, who are customers of Islamic Banking, were involved in this research. Accidental sampling was used as sampling technique and instrument was tested by validity and reliability testing. Futhermore, data were analized by moderated regression analysis (MRA). The results of this research shows (1) Simoultaneously, Muslim customer perceived value (MCPV) influences the customer satisfaction and partially, there are only three variables that influence customer satisfaction such as price, social value, and Islamic non phisical attribute. Other variables such as quality, emotional value, and Islamic phisical attribute does not influence customer satisfaction; (2) Religiosity as a moderating variable on the influence Islamic non phisical attribute to the customer satisfaction. The moderating effect is streghtening the existing influence.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the goals of Code-Switching and Code-Mixing and how it is used in a communicative strategy among the stand banners in Lombok Epicentrum Mall (LEM). Data were collected by documenting with pictures of stand banners at several outlets in LEM. The method used in analyzing the data is qualitative in approach by identifying, classifying, describing and explaining the code-switching and the code mixing data in the corpus and how they have been used to promote the products sold at the stores. The result shows that the purposes of using Code-Switching and Code-Mixing as a communication strategy in their promotion and it also shows that code mixing is more dominant than code switching. The advertisers mix-match the languages that they use with English and Bahasa Indonesia because they assume that these practices are the right ones and matching Indonesian words into English makes it sound cooler instead of using Bahasa Indonesia. This indicates that English signifies a high culture and class status while Indonesian is inferior in status. In fact, being commonly used in numerous stand banners for a long period of time, the mixing use of Indonesian and English as well as matching the sounds in the languages have been very common and accepted in Indonesian discourse practices. Therefore, the implication that they communicate their business strategy of promotion their products by using CS and CM is to inform and attract the customers that they are in a higher level or class, thus, it acquires them to communicate or promoted like so.

Abstract

Reading is one of the important skills that the students have to master. However, many students have difficulties in comprehending the reading text. To solve this condition, the researcher used schema activation strategy to help students understand reading comprehension. The purpose of this research was to investigate whether the use of schema activation strategy is effective or not in teaching reading comprehension at the second-grade students of MTs Tarbiyatul Mustafid. This study was quasi experimental design using two classes were VIII-B class was taken as an experimental class and VIII-A was taken as control class. The population of this research involved 60 students from the second grade in MTs Tarbiyatul Mustafid Batu Rimpang. By using purposive sampling, the researcher took the students as a sample. In collecting the data, this study used pre-test, treatment, and post-test as the data collection procedure then followed by analyzing the data by using t-test formula. Then the result of statistical analysis of t-test in this research was 2.85. It was higher that critical values for t- table in degree of freedom (df) of 58 is 2.021 (0.05%) and 2.704 (0.01%). The researcher concludes that mean score before and after taught by using schema activation strategy has difference. It means the alternative hypothesis (ha) was accepted. The use of schema activation strategy in teaching reading comprehension at the second grade students of MTs Tarbiyatul Mustafid Batu Rimpang is effective.

Abstract

This study aims to construct the idea or thought regarding the importance of introducing halal and good food through early childhood education. Little children, including those of Muslims, generally do not have adequate knowledge about halal and good food according to Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh Islam). Children’s pattern of consumption, types of food they eat, and the ingredients of food cooked for them are generally determined by their parents or influenced by their social and cultural environments. By means of early childhood education, the knowledge of halal and good food is introduced earlier to the children in gradual steps in line with their age and developmental phases. Through constructivist-interpretive approach, this study is intended to analyze the importance of introducing, disseminating, and internalizing the knowledge, attitude, and skill about halal and good food to the children. The study also provides the children with graded lessons to identify halal and good food. The ultimate end the analysis is expected to yield integrated lessons on halal and good food within the curriculum of early childhood education.
