Abstract

Breast cancer is a frightening disease for people in the city of Padang. Each year there is an increase in cases of death caused by this disease. The delay of breast cancer patients in accessing treatment is the cause of the high mortality rate. Researchers try to see what causes the delay from a socio-cultural point of view. Among them are the intervention of family members (nuclear / extended family) in deciding the treatment system to be undertaken by breast cancer sufferers and the existence of a stigma against this disease. Disease etiology and the health care system are concepts used in explaining these delays.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the Integrated Service Post is the front line owned by the Public Health Center (PHC) as a primary service. However, sometimes there is a decrease in visits so that the quality of service decreases. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the satisfaction of Pos Pelayanan Terpadu services. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach to 86 Integrated Service Post visitors in the working area of Malanu Public Health Center, Sorong city, West Papua, which were taken using purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study was an instrument of satisfaction, staff attitudes, knowledge, and family support. The results showed that there was an effect of staff attitudes and knowledge on satisfaction in Integrated Service Post services, but family support had no effect in determining the satisfaction of Integrated Service Post services. Service attitude and knowledge are major dimensions of overall satisfaction. PHC policymakers must evaluate and manage service quality based on actual patient needs, taking into account demographic characteristics and patient health status. Efficient management methods for PHC and Integrated Service Post, modern technology, and staff training are needed to improve service quality and care efficiency.

Abstract

Anemia is a decrease in hemoglobin, hematocrit and erythrocyte count below normal values, which is less than 11 g / dl. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with anemia in third trimester pregnant women in the work area of the Situmeang Habinsaran Community Health Center in 2020. The design of this study was an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population was 30 trimester III pregnant women. Sampling used was total sampling, the respondents were pregnant women in the third trimester who experienced anemia as many as 30 respondents. Based on the results of the analysis using the Chi Square test, it shows that the significant probability value (Asymp.Sig) is that there is a relationship between parity and anemia in pregnant women with a p-value = 0.003, there is a relationship between antenatal care in pregnant women with a p-value = 0.005. There is a knowledge relationship with anemia in pregnant women with a p-value = 0.011, there is a relationship between compliance with anemia in pregnant women with a p-value = 0.028. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between parity, antenatal care, knowledge, adherence to taking Fe tablets with anemia in third trimester pregnant women. It is hoped that pregnant women should check their pregnancy and strive to frequently check their Hb and pay attention to the food consumed during pregnancy because healthy mothers do not necessarily have normal Hb levels.

Abstract

Tetanus neonatorum and maternal tetanus can increase maternal mortality and infant mortality rates. One of the prevention of tetanus is to immunize pregnant women with tetanus toxoid. Pregnant women who do not do TT immunization because they have several factors that affect the completeness of tetanus toxoid immunization, namely age, education, occupation, parity and maternal knowledge which can have an impact on increasing the incidence of neonatal tetanus. This study aims to describe the factors that influence the completeness of tetenuas toxoid immunization in third trimester pregnant women. This research method is descriptive quantitative using cross sectional. The population in this study were all third trimester pregnant women in Poskesdes Desa Bumi Serdang, Tungkal Ilir Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency in 2021. The sample consisted of 11 respondents using nonprobability sampling technique, namely the total population. The results showed that the factors that influenced the completeness of tetanus toxoid immunization for pregnant women were age and knowledge of the mother. Of the 11 respondents, most of the mothers had mature age, namely 9 people (81.8%) and most of them had high knowledge, namely 8 people (72.7%). The more pregnant women have a mature age and have high knowledge, it will affect their behavior and attitudes in choosing and making the right choices in health services.

Abstract

Labor pain is caused by contracting the uterine muscles pushing the fetus out. Labor mothers find it difficult to adapt to the pain of labor, especially primigravidas, this can cause prolongation of the first stage of labor. There are two ways to reduce labor pain, namely pharmacology and non-pharmacology. One of the non-pharmacological methods is the use of a birth ball. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of using a birth ball on the reduction of pain during the first stage of active phase and duration of stage I and duration of stage II of labor. This study used an experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 13 treatment people and 13 controls with the Consecutive Sampling technique. The pain scale was measured by the Faces Pain Rating Scale and the duration of the active phase I and the second stage of labor using a partograph. The difference in pain scores and duration of stage I and duration of II for the treatment and control groups were tested with T-independents if the data were normally distributed and the Mann-Whitney test if the distribution was not normal. There was a difference in the effect of using a birth ball on the reduction of pain in the first stage of the active phase in primigravida with p value = 0,000 and there was also a difference in the effect of using a birth ball on the duration of labor during the active phase in the treatment and control groups with p = 0,000, while for the duration of labor. during the second stage of labor, there was no difference in the effect of using a birth ball with p = 0.160. The use of birth balls is proven to reduce labor pain during the active phase and accelerate the duration of the I stage. Birth balls are recommended to be used as an alternative to reducing labor pain in midwifery services.
