Group (P1) was given 200 mg / 200gr BW of young papaya extract. Group (P2) was given young papaya fruit extract 400 mg / 200gr BW. Group (P3) was given young papaya fruit extract 600 mg / 200gr BW. After 20 days of treatment, the endometrial inflammatory cell infiltration was calculated. The results showed that giving young papaya fruit extract (Carica papaya L.) reduced the infiltration of endometrial inflammatory cells. The results of statistical analysis using the one way ANOVA test showed the effect of giving papaya extract on endometrial inflammatory cell infiltration (p = <0.001). It can be concluded that there is an effect of giving young papaya (Carica papaya L.) fruit extract on the infiltration of inflammatory cells in the endometrium.

Abstract

One of the efforts made by the government to control the rate of population growth is through the Family Planning Program (KB). Puskesmas Sipatana is one of the areas in Gorontalo City with a high number of live births 17.36% and 17.66% low active birth control. The low coverage of family planning services is a challenge in midwifery services, for that socialization is more intensified by using digital channels, such as electronic media so that it can still reach the wider community. The research objective was to analyze the effect of counseling on contrast selection among women of childbearing age in the working area of Puskesmas Sipatana, Gorontalo City. The experimental design used in this study was a pre-experimental design with a One-group posttest only design approach. The variables in this study consisted of independent variables, namely counseling and dependent variables in the choice of contraceptive methods. The study population was all women in the appropriate age of 1400 and the sample that met the inclusion criteria was 100 respondents. The research was conducted from September to December 2020. The results of the linear regression test showed that education, work, knowledge and attitudes had no effect on contraceptive choice. Age, parity and counseling influence the choice of contraception. The multivariate test results show that age is the dominant variable that influences the choice of contraception.

Abstract

The decrease of bone density becomes a serious health problem because of its increasing prevalence worldwide, especially for women. Parity is one of the factors that can affect bone density, apart from physical activity, consumption of caffeinated and carbonated drinks, intake of protein, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, and serum 25(OH)D levels. This study aimed to comprehensively analyze the factors associated with bone density in pregnant women. This cross-sectional study was conducted in the working area of Community Health Center of Andalas Padang towards 73 pregnant women in the third trimester with a purposive sampling technique.Structured interviews were conducted by using a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (nutritional intake), Baecke's questionnaire (physical activity) and examination of serum 25(OH)D levels using the ELISA method. Data were analyzed by using One Way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test and multiple linear regression. The results of statistical tests showed that there was no significant relation (p> 0.05) among parity, physical activity, serum 25 (OH) D levels, consumption of caffeinated and carbonated drinks, intake of protein, phosphorus, magnesium, and calcium on bone density at pregnant women. The dominant factor related to bone density are parity (adjustedR2=0,191 ; standardized β coefficient= -0,357 ; p=0,004) and calcium intake (adjusted R2=0,191;standardized β coefficient=0,308 ; p=0,005). The conclusion of this study is that calcium intake and parity play important roles in bone density in pregnant women.
