Abstract

Pregnancy is a special condition for a woman as a prospective mother because there will be physical changes that will affect her life during pregnancy. Diet and lifestyle can help the growth and development of the fetus in the mother's womb. (Irianto, 2015) The results of the 2018 Riskesdas show that the proportion of anemia in pregnant women from 2013 to 2018 has increased by 11.8%; in 2013, the proportion was 37.1%, and in 2018 the proportion was 48.9% (Riskesdas, 2018 ). This study aims to determine differences in hemoglobin levels and body weight of pregnant women in the third trimester based on adherence to iron tablets at the Deniawati Clinic in 2021. This study uses a comparative quantitative approach. This study's sample number was 26 pregnant women in the third trimester. The results showed a 2-way (t-tailed) significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and 0.003 < 0.005. Conclusion this means that there are significant differences in the hemoglobin levels and body weight of pregnant women between obedient and non-adherent mothers taking iron tablets during pregnancy. This study recommends that further researchers need to conduct further research with different variables that are deeper.

Abstract

Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), there are almost 1.7 billion cases of diarrhea occurring in the world each year. Diarrhea is the second leading cause of child mortality. In Indonesia, children suffer from diarrhea more than 12 times per year, which is the cause of death for 15-34% of all causes of death. The primary treatment for diarrhea itself is to overcome the occurrence of dehydration. Rehydration therapy is very effective in reducing diarrhea mortality due to dehydration; by WHO in 2015, proper management of dehydration is using low osmolarity oral rehydration fluids such as Salt Sugar Solution or ORS. The preliminary study results are known; one of the efforts of parents in overcoming dehydration in their children who suffer from diarrhea is by giving fluids, but with the amount, frequency, and type of fluids that are not by the fluids needed by the body. Parents only give fluids when the child asks for and complains of feeling thirsty. The formulation of the problem in this study is "How is the Relationship between Parental Behavior in Handling Oralhydration with the Incidence of Dehydration in Toddler Children with Diarrhea, Sumber Mulyo Rejo Village, East Binjai District, North Sumatra in 2021. This type of research uses a correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The population and sample are parents—as many as 42 children under five and have experienced diarrhea (dehydration). The results showed the value of df = 2 and P-value = 0.002 less than 0.05 (0.002 < 0.05) then the hypothesis was accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the behavior of parents in handling oral hydration with the incidence of dehydration in children under five with diarrhea. As a suggestion, it is hoped that health workers can educate parents about the management of dehydration and recognize signs of dehydration in children with diarrhea.

The sample in this study amounted to 33 respondents. The sampling technique used is random sampling—data analysis using the chy square test. The results showed 12 respondents (26.67%) with good sleep patterns, 24 respondents (53.33%) with good sleep patterns, and 9 respondents (20%) with poor sleep patterns. Based on emotional intelligence, 34 respondents (75.55%) had good emotional development, and 11 respondents (24.45%) had poor emotional development. This research concludes that there is a relationship between sleep patterns and emotional intelligence of SMK Kesehatan Nafsiah Stabat students, with a p-value of 0.000 at df = 2, where sig <α (0.000 <0.05). It is hoped that Nafsiah Health Vocational School students will realize that sleep is a basic/physiological human need. If it is adequately fulfilled, it will have good emotional intelligence

Abstract

Many women of childbearing age (WUS) think that vaginal discharge is normal. One of the reasons for this assumption is the lack of knowledge of women of childbearing age (WUS) about the impact of vaginal discharge. This study aims to determine the effect of Health Education on WUS Knowledge about Fluor Albus at the Patumbak Health Center in 2021. This research is a quantitative research with Pre-Experimental Design with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. This research has been carried out on July 11, 2021 to July 24, 2021. The population is 84 people. Sampling using purposive sampling with a sample of 50 people. The results showed that WUS Knowledge about Fluor Albus before being given Health Education at the Patumbak Health Center in 2021 was the majority poor, WUS Knowledge about Fluor Albus after being given Health Education at the Patumbak Health Center in 2021 was the majority good. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test, the p value = 0.001 <0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of Health Education on WUS Knowledge about Fluor Albus at the Patumbak Health Center in 2021. Suggestions in this research Patumbak Health Center make a planned program in the provision of health education to increase knowledge and understanding of WUS, especially about vaginal discharge in the work area of the Patumbak Health Center.
