Abstract

Breast cancer is cancer of a malignant tumor of the breast. Millions of women die from breast cancer. Each year of the 250,000 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in Europe and 175,000 in the United States, about 50% of patients diagnosed with breast cancer are at a late stage and survive only 18-30 months. Early detection can be suppressing. the mortality rate is 25-30%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of young women about breast cancer and early detection, where breast cancer can be found early with BSE examination. The type of research used is cross sectional, where the population is all female teenagers in SMA Khatolik Kabanjahe in 2019 with a total of 110 respondents. The sample size is 52 respondents through Systematic Random Sampling. The statistical test used is the statistical test Chi-Square = 0.05. The results of the analysis showed that the majority of young women who had good knowledge did early detection checks, 19%, those who had sufficient knowledge, the majority also did early detection checks, 81%, the majority did not perform early detection checks, 71%. who have a positive attitude, the majority do 100% early detection checks. And those who have a negative attitude majority do not perform early detection checks 84% ​​The results of the Chi-Square test have a relationship between the knowledge of young women about breast cancer with early detection examinations with p = 0.000, and there is a relationship between the attitudes of young women about breast cancer and early detection tests = 0,000. Abstract

Dismenorrhoea is defined as a symptom of recurrence, or the medical term is called catmenial pelvic pain, which is a condition of a woman who experiences menstrual pain which has a bad effect, causing disruption of daily activities because of the pain she feels. This study aims to determine the relationship of dysmenorrhoea exercise with the reduction of dysmenorrhea in young women in Surbakti Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency in 2019. As for the independent variable (free) is the effect of dysminorrhea exercise and the dependent variable is the decrease in dysmenorrhea. This type of research uses analytic observational with cross sectional approach method. Where the population is 35 young women and the sample used is a total population of 35 young women. Types of data used are primary data taken directly from respondents using a checklist sheet, and secondary data obtained from the Office of the Village Head of Surbakti. The statistical test used is the Chi-Square test α = 0,000. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test obtained p value = 0.000. This means that the p value is smaller than x2 (0.05) and thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, that is, there is a relationship between dysmenorrhoea and dysmenorrhoea exercise in female adolescents in Surbakti Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency in 2019. It is hoped that adolescents will increase their knowledge about the effect of dysmenorrhoea exercise on reducing dysmenorrhea from various information media, especially from health workers so that they can overcome dysmenorrhoea pain.

Abstract

Elderly is someone aged 60 years and over with the elderly being divided into three categories, namely 45-59 years, 60-69 years old, and 70 years old, while quality of life is a functional condition of the elderly which includes physical conditions, namely activities carried out daily, dependence on medical assistance and the role of a much needed family. The problem is the declining quality of life of the elderly and this occurs because the family does not pay attention to the elderly, especially in the health sector. The research objective was to determine the relationship between the role of the family and the quality of life of the elderly in the Cendrawasih Elderly Posyandu, Pasir Tuntung Village, Kotapinang District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency in 2019. The research design was cross sectional which emphasized the time measurement and data observation between the dependent and independent variables. The sampling technique in the study this is to use accidental sampling. The study sample was 29 people who had been selected by chance (NRS). Data analysis used chi-square test. The results of the study, the relationship between the role of the family and the quality of life of the elderly at Cendrawasih Elderly Posyandu, Pasir Tuntung Village, Kotapinang District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency, the majority of the family's role is quite 13 people (44.8% and the majority of the elderly's quality of life is good 14 people (48.2) obtained p-value = 0.707> α = 0.05 which means there is no relationship between family roles and the quality of life of the elderly. The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between family roles and the quality of life of the elderly. Kecamatan Kota Pinang, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan can routinely provide counseling about the elderly so that the quality of the elderly is better.

Abstract

Communication is an individual effort in maintaining and maintaining individuals to keep interacting with others and is an important component in nursing practice. Communication is an effective tool to influence human behavior, so that communication is developed and maintained continuously. Objectives In Research on Therapeutic Communication Relationships with Inpatient Satisfaction at Martha Friska Hospital, Brayan Island, 2018. This study used a cross-optional research design. The population in this study were all inpatients on the 3rd floor, amounting to 20 nurses, with a total sampling technique, the number of smapel in this study was 20 people. The data analysis technique was performed using univariant and bivariant statistical analysis. The statistical test in this study used the chi square formula (kai squared) to estimate or evaluate the frequency under investigation has a significant relationship or not, with a 95% degree of confidence. Based on the results of the study, there is a significant relationship between therapeutic communication and satisfaction of inpatients at the Martha Friska Hospital, Pulau Brayan in 2018, with a p value = 0.001 (p <0.05). For research sites, therapeutic communication training is one of the efforts that must be continuously carried out in maintaining or even further improving the quality of service to patients or the community.

Abstract

Self-concept is a person's view of himself. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that can interfere with a person's self-concept because diabetes mellitus sufferers often complain of boredom having to take medication every day, it is difficult to follow the recommended diet, patients have difficulty sleeping because they are always reminded of their illness. Self-concept in men and women who suffer from diabetes mellitus shows a real difference. In living their lives, women are less healthy than men. This study aims to determine the differences in self-concept in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus between men and women. This study uses a comparative description design. The research sample was 38 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Diabetes Clinic Dharma Perumnas Helvetia Medan in 2019 consisting of 19 men and 19 women. The sampling technique is using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Mann Whitney U test. Based on the results of data analysis, a significance value of 0.001 (p <0.05) was obtained so that the research hypothesis was accepted. This shows that there are differences in self-concept in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus between men and women. The conclusion of this study is that there are differences in self-concept in people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus between men and women at the Diabetes Clinic Dharma Perumnas Helvetia Medan. Clinic employees are expected to be able to make nursing plans that can improve self-concept according to the gender of the diabetes mellitus patient.

Abstract

Whitish or often called Flour Albus is a normal vaginal secretion in women. In normal circumstances, a healthy vagina produces fluid to clean the vagina from unwanted foreign objects. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of students about genetalia hygiene with the incidence of vaginal discharge in SMA Al-Ansor Kec. Bandar Kab. Simalungun in 2020. This research uses a quantitative research type, with a cross-sectional design. This research design uses a cross-sectional design. The population in the study were all students at SMA Al-Ansor Kec. Bandar Kab. Simalungun in 2020 as many as 126 people, the sample in this study was 56 random sampling, with the research technique using the Chi Square test. The results of the research on the knowledge of students about genetic hygiene at Al-Ansor High School, the majority in the moderate category were 24 people (42.9%). The attitudes of students about genetic hygiene in SMA Al-Ansor Kec. Bandar Kab. Simalungun in 2020 the majority have positive attitudes as many as 30 people (53.6%), The incidence of vaginal discharge in Al-Ansor High School, Kec. Bandar Kab. In 2020, the majority of them experienced physiological vaginal discharge as many as 32 people (57.1%). The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between the knowledge of students about genetalia hygiene with the incidence of vaginal discharge in SMA Al-Ansor Kec. Bandar Kab. Simalungun in 2020. There is a significant relationship between the attitudes of students about genetic hygiene with the incidence of vaginal discharge in SMA Al-Ansor Kec. Bandar Kab. Simalungun year 2020. Adolescent Reproductive Health counseling is recommended in relation to reproductive organs and how to maintain the health of the reproductive organs.

Abstract

Menarche is a sign that a young woman has entered the maturity stage, especially the organs of the reproductive system. Anxiety can occur due to a lack of information about menstruation and poor health education from parents. Peer group health education is a variety of activities carried out to develop the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the target group which are carried out among the peer groups themselves. The research objective was to determine the effect of peer group health education on the level of anxiety of female adolescents in facing menarche. This type of research uses quantitative and the design of this study uses the One Group Pretest-Postest design. The number of samples was 15 students. The instrument used was the SARS anxiety level questionnaire sheet. Data analysis was performed using the t-dependent test. The results of the research before being given health education were 12 people (85.7%) moderate anxiety, 2 people (14.3%) mild anxiety. Then after being given health education, there were 11 people (78.6%) mild anxiety, 3 (21.4%) moderate anxiety. The results of statistical tests with the t-dependent test obtained a value of 0.002 <0.05, meaning that there was a significant influence between the effect of peer group health education on the level of anxiety in young women in facing menarche. The conclusion of the study is that there is a significant influence between peer group method health education on the level of anxiety in girls in facing menarche at SD IT Ummi Aida Medan in 2019. Suggestions for research sites are to apply to all students of SD IT Ummi Aida Medan to use the peer group method as one of the alternative ways to increase readiness to face menarche.

Abstract

The parenting style for children and adolescents is one of the factors that shape the behavior and character of a child. Parenting that is done properly by parents can have a positive influence on adolescents so that they do not smoke. 30% of Indonesians who smoke are reported to have started consuming cigarettes before they reach the age of 10. The purpose of this study is to identify parenting styles and the incidence of teenage smoking and to find out the relationship between parenting styles and the incidence of teenage smoking in SMP Negeri 4 Pekan Tolan, Kampung Rakyat District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency in 2018. The type of research used in this study is quantitative with a correlation research design. . The population amounted to 144 people, namely male students of SMP Negeri 4 Pekan Tolan in 2018. The research sample was 105 respondents, using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results showed that the majority permissive majority of adolescent parenting styles were 58 respondents (55.2%). The incidence of teenage smoking was 55 respondents (52.4%). The results of statistical analysis obtained p value 0.000 (p <0.05). This shows that Ha is accepted, which means that there is a relationship between parenting styles and the incidence of smoking at SMP Negeri 4 Pekan Tolan in 2018. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between parenting styles and the incidence of smoking at SMP Negeri 4 Pekan Tolan in 2018. research places can provide warnings or health education on an ongoing basis about the dangers of smoking, so as to produce a healthy generation of the nation.

Abstract

Intra-Uterine Fetal Death (IUFD/KJDK)is the occurrence of fetal death while still in the uterus that weighs 500 grams and or is 20 weeks or more gestational. The Government's effort to reduce maternal and fetal mortality is through the Making Pregnancy Safer (MPS) program. This program focuses on midwifery service efforts with a paradigm of preventing complications in health facilities. To prevent these complications, the midwife must know the factors that cause or predispose to an IUFD event in order to prevent or reduce the IUFD event factor. High parity (more than three) has a higher incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of parity with the occurrence of KJDK. Quantitative research methods are cross sectional. Based on the results of the study, the majority of respondents in the category of parity who are not at risk (<3) amounted to 19 respondents (61.3%) and risk categories (> 3) amounted to 12 respondents (11.1%). that out of 19 people who have risk parity there are 18 respondents (58.1%) experiencing KJDK, with a p-value = 0.001 which means greater than α-value (0.05). This means that there is significant relationship between parity and KJDK events in Sundari General Hospital in 2019.

Abstract

Insomnia is a symptom experienced by clients when they have difficulty falling asleep, wake up frequently at night, and wake up too early in the morning. Treatment of insomnia in the elderly can be done pharmacologically and non pharmacologically. One type of non-pharmacological treatment for insomnia in the elderly is complementary lavender aroma therapy. Smelling lavender can make a person relax, making it easy for the elderly to fall asleep. This study aims to determine the effect of complementary lavender aroma therapy on insomnia in the elderly at the Joyah Uken Nursing Home, Central Aceh Regency. This research is a quasi-experimental type using the one group pretest and posttest design method. The population in this study were all elderly people over 60 years of age. The sample in this study used a total sampling technique of 14 elderly. The research instrument used a measuring tool for the study of biological psychiatry, the Jakarta insomnia rating scale, and using the observation sheet. Statistical analysis using paired t-test. The level of insomnia before being given complementary lavender aroma therapy in the elderly was mild 14.3%, moderate 50.0% and heavy 35.7%. The level of insomnia after being given complementary lavender aroma therapy decreased to 42.9% and moderate 57.1%. Hypothesis test results obtained sig value of 0.000 (<0.05). This shows that there is an effect of complementary lavender aroma therapy on insomnia. The conclusion is that there is an effect of complementary lavender aroma therapy on insomnia and it is suggested that lavender aroma therapy can be given as an effort to overcome and reduce insomnia levels in the elderly.
